When I saw flyleaf live at the Zydeco in Birmingham, al before they were big I was front and center stage. And when they came on I was looking at her almost eye level and she was on a stage. It was a small stage, but a stage nonetheless. I loved her energy throughout though. To be such a tiny person she sure has a big voice. I could hear her scream above the speakers and amps.
My band opened for them on 4 separate occasions at bar shows and she truly is tiny. She was always so sweet she would wait around and come congratulate every band on an awesome show. She didn’t drink but she would come sit down while we were having beers after a set and talk super sweet super real and down to earth.

We appreciate it. Sometimes words aren't enough and we need the music.
Atheists seem to demand tolerance yet don't show any tolerance for Lacey's beliefs, which saved her life. If you don't believe, cool. But don't act like you're more intelligent than someone who believes in a God just because of that.
this is just from personal experience an observations, but lots of internet atheists have an extremely toxic thought process that because they do not believe in God, then they are automatically smarter than religious individuals and will tell you that there is no God any chance that they get, vehemently defending their stance with an ironically religious zeal. the majority of believers on the internet state their views when relevant and move on in a polite way. funny how they complain about having religion "shoved down their throat" when in reality it rarely happens, even in real life, yet they won't let you forget that they don't believe lmao
@@kentduggan8626 You missed the part where she said she had daddy issues, did you? She didn't have a father or a good father figure. Pay attention next time if you really want to go after someone's beliefs.
@@Xeranx Saying that someone's beliefs are factually wrong is not "going after their beliefs". I am free to say that somebody's beliefs are wrong, especially if they in fact are wrong. That has nothing to do with whether you are free to have such beliefs, or whether those beliefs have helped you. The biggest problem is that many religious people self-identify through their beliefs, so if one criticises the beliefs, these people often take it as personal attacks. And they are not personal attacks.
@@flashpeter625 One is free to say whatever it is they want. The problem comes in when any individual attempts to force another to alter principles and behaviors that one believes will allow them to achieve the goal they seek. That's why it comes across as a personal attack when it's challenged especially if the individual whose beliefs are challenged has been operating by rote. There are many unexplained things in our world. Lacey made mention of a man who was telling her things that she knew he couldn't know in person. I have had that experience myself and I was talking on the phone to that individual who was on another continent. I knew it was weird because what I was being told, I never shared with anyone. Maybe they were making assumptions based on whether or not my breathing changed. I don't know. I think if one is going to challenge or make the claim that one's beliefs are factually wrong, they have to have powerful evidence to bring to bear and they have to have something equally or more powerful than the other's beliefs to replace it. It's not something to take on lightly. Even Dawkins, a go to for many atheists, has said he's a cultural Christian.
My testimony is similar to Laceys. Mostly in the way where she said she wouldn't use the word "religious". The religious people literally hated Jesus. Definitely spiritual and God is definitely awesome and loving. Wish I could share my testimony but I struggle with the right words sometimes. Edit: I cant listen to Laceys music without crying because it hits home and is so anointed and feels very personal to me. Thank you God for saving Lacey and thank you Lacey for putting your music out. 🖤

Just when I thought she couldn’t get any more adorable
When I saw flyleaf live at the Zydeco in Birmingham, al before they were big I was front and center stage. And when they came on I was looking at her almost eye level and she was on a stage. It was a small stage, but a stage nonetheless. I loved her energy throughout though. To be such a tiny person she sure has a big voice. I could hear her scream above the speakers and amps.
Omg me too!
My band opened for them on 4 separate occasions at bar shows and she truly is tiny. She was always so sweet she would wait around and come congratulate every band on an awesome show. She didn’t drink but she would come sit down while we were having beers after a set and talk super sweet super real and down to earth.
This was a really cool interview. I like how the platform here opens the door for these kinds of discussions.
Nice!! Taking it to another level of professionalism, 🤘Loudwire🤘
honestly very happy she stuck around, Flyleaf and her solo album have helped me out when I'm stressed out.
Love Lacy, just a beautiful soul and great person.
that was awesome, Raw, real, and touching. She's amazing! great job Loudwire. Good job on letting her reveal her faith too, as that would be a major part of who she is
She seems like a wonderful human being. Looking forward to getting into her music.
Lacy Sturm's story and her music saved my life. It might sound dramatic but it is true in my case
I could listen to her talk all day long.
Years late to this party. But Lacey is amazing. Overseas in 2007 I used to watch her music videos and it kept me sane. She is so talented and open.
She’s an incredible woman❤️
This is incredible. I'm just someone on the road and I believe in acting right. Your testimony made so much sense to me because I can hear it in your music. I listen to you with my daughters and we jam out. We believe in love and in a God who loves everyone and wants us to act right and do our best. Your music has made a lot of difference to us Lacey! We appreciate it. Sometimes words aren't enough and we need the music.
She brought up the tour with Staind. My first intro to Flyleaf was at the Staind concert in Seattle on that tour.
Love loudwire and this series! It’s awesome and I’ve seen so many of these videos! Gruhammed is awesome and a great interviewer!
Props for accepting her to speak about her coming to God. I know a lot of people wouldn't allow that, sadly.
Idk WHY I started getting back into flyleaf lately but after seeing this, now I REALLY want to buy her book
TAKE THE BULLETS AWAAAAAYYYAYYAYAYYY

And so is Tom Araya
Love this girl ! Thank you Loudwire .
We just dont like fake frauds. She became delusional and suicidal in church, why ? And we are suppose to believe in ghost ? Haha
Wow man! Your videos are always amazing to watch but this one was truly moving. Thank you for the Post!
im never gonna get over her beauty i remember first hearing flyleaf on youtube in 2007 and been in love with Lacey's story ever since
She's always been so freakin cute! I love her!
This was beautiful. Loved her testimony. One of my favorite bands
wow, you can tell how intelligent she is
she really is. I love her so much

And by that, you mean calculating Pentecostal.

What a great interview. This has been the best one so far IMHO.
