Man!!! When you down shifted thru the tunnel ...it sounded amazing!!! I was like dang!! That truck sounds like a beast 💪
Back in the day when we had our Kaufman wedge we had a quick disconnect that we mounted under the bumper. Plug looked like a golf cart connector end. Worked great. We eventually put dual winches on the trailer in the end. We hauled lease turn ins to Greater Orlando Auto Auction for a finance company called World Omni. Tampa Bay area to Orlando
Clean equipment goes a long ways and a good attitude damn sure helps.
I went thru that very same tunnel on my HD running straight pipes and thought the tiles were going to fall off the walls 🤣👍👍🇺🇸
Hey, Steve. Left Hershey on the 31st headed for Elkhart with my Rig behind the SuperCruzer. When going thru Middlebury, there was a huge field of Amazon delivery vans with a sign drivers wanted. Did not make since with at least 1000 vans in the field. You would think car haulers would be up there loading them up and heading out. So, rates must suck or they’re not really trying to move them. There were unbelievable numbers of junk RV’s sitting in other fields in the area. Met a solid stream of RV Haulers on 20 and 17 heading out with single tows. Staying off the turnpike. I waiting to see my bill on EPass for the Ohio Turnpike at 34,600lbs. Ran 11/15 out of Harrisburg to 80 West. That was a good ride.
Loving the hell.out of this channel, been badass to see you grow! Giving me nothing but fuel with these videos to keep moving forward to get my setup going
Yeah I like this channel, I learn a lot here.
Hope your family and home are safe from the flooding. Drive safe brother 🚙
You added the tunnel, part just you make us drivers smile after listening to your truck.🤣
This guy is a pro! Taking pics of the car before he picks up the car
Do what works for you looks like you doing a great job. Keep up the good work.
Congrats man 3 cars you in the big time now.
You are right most DOT officers are good. And there are a few bad apples. No different they any other professions out there. You got out of NJ just in time yesterday. South Jersey got hit by some pretty bad tornados. Wiped out some homes and one of south Jersey largest dairy farms. Keep up the great videos.
CP 👊🏽😁, keep on keeping on, your doing big things.
Heck yeah man be safe out there 🔥
Sup bud. Ole Cummins sounding good gear jammer 💪🏻👍👍
I finally got to see your rig today on 95 in South Carolina you just passed exit 57 you was headed southbound and I was headed northbound I was coming from Savannah Georgia and I seen you be careful out on the road partner
that truck sounds good in the tunnels🚜👍 Be careful out there
Love the videos brotha keep up the great work...
Man! That 12 valve sounds awesome in the tunnel! Ha! Ha!

New to the channel and man that dodge sounds nice
Howdy I see am 10 months behind, lol but I got my CDL to do the hotshot car hauling. But I have been researching on how do I get started. Houston Texas
Really fun and entertaining video
Yes we love tunnels!!!!!
I seen it was really bad out your way yesterday. Tornados and flooding. Looks like you just missed it. A couple places flooded bad here.
Great video
You need you a little booster jump box if you are hauling cars. My cousin has one, I've borrowed it a lot to boost with.
I have a nocoboost gb70. It'll start a dead 5.9 Cummins fine
We'll all float on
Man great vid
B&w turn over has safety chain hooks....spring loaded even.
You have a nice truck and trailer.
I have my personal pickup with a camper shell (California Registration, 07 ram cummins diesel) with a gwr of 10100# (curb weight 6415# dry) and a new bumper pull car hauler trailer that had the manufacturer rate at 9990# but was formerly rated at 17500# ( curb weight 5200# ,dual axle 8k with mega ramps and drive over fenders) because I'm in California but move my personal trucks and ranch equipment back and forth from out of state for non commerce ... how heavy of a truck and loads can I legally cross the scales with? I don't have any stickers

Hahaha yep that’s definitely your issue ! The rails has to go the other way !! 🤣🤣🤣 Lmao
YEAH, just drift it in sideways and hook up. Make sure Tokyo drift song is plsying. :)

Do you know what part of Tampa you will be dropping off? If I knew a little earlier you were coming this close I would of brought you lunch or dinner. I live close to Bush Gardens. Take care out there and stay safe
Englewood is where I'm dropping. I think it's south of Tampa
@@CPSteveMiller ok, take care, stay safe out there
you misunderstood the rails thing. Some people like me put the rails parallel with the frame. Do not have to turn the hitch it still hooks up from the rear. Just neans you have the ability to move the fifth front to back adjustability. Trust me I am no idiot.
Kinda odd how when I type in "5th wheel rails parallel with frame rails" not a single one comes up parallel with the frame rails. Not a single person has shown me a picture where they are parallel. The rail system that I have cannot be mounted sideways or "parallel to the frame". They were not designed to work that way.
Feel free to send me a picture. You'd be the first.

Steve, did you change your battery cables? What did you use? I was told to use welding cable. Like double 0.
I'm just using factory stuff
Mine melts my cable ends. And tight as hell! On a real cold day.
Floting is great. My dad taught me how to do it. He was a truck driver all his life. If the idiot's dont know this from what ive seen and rode with all ur semi truck drivers us there clutch for take off and then they float the rest. Some Karen's need to get a life. Grear video Steve stay safe out there for the family and all of us that watch ur channel.
They float gears in a semi because they are made for it the snycros in a regular truck transmissions aren't made for it take it from a machanic floating gears seems cool in a pickup but you will destroy the syncros and sometimes the shift forks in them it doesn't take much effort to just press a clutch but hey they are yalls trucks and yall can do with them as yall please but yes it is bad for them.
Hey quick question I have a 2003 ram 3500 dully Cummins diesel how much can this truck tow with a 35 ft trailer ? Overall weight if u don’t mind
Combine the gvwr of the trailer and the gvwr of the trailer. Then subtract the real weight from the combined weight "rating". That's how much you can scale. Then you just need to keep the weight under each axle's rating.
I just left tampa yesterday! Probably passed you 👋🏻
Nice video! Do you recommend hauling cars or general freight?
Cars suck right now. Do freight. At least then you can still take cars here and there
New viewer here. I have been enjoying your videos, they're very helpful. I do have a couple of questions. Does the 26,000 pounds include truck, trailer and load? Or just truck and trailer for non CDL? Second, does a cdl b work or do you need a cdl a? Thank you for helping us all, pure motivation.
26,000 pounds is the rating
Truck 9,000 gvwr
Trailer 17,000 gvwr
Gives you 26,000 gcwr(gross combination weight rating)
You then weigh the truck and trailer together. In my case, 15,500 pounds with no load.
That means I can haul 10,500 pounds on the trailer pending I keep each axle under they're tire weight limit.
As for the cdl b it's useless here because you can only have a 10,000 pound or less trailer if your truck itself is over 26,000 pounds. You need a class a or the class b is basically non cdl.
OOH ok. Thank you so much for the info, now it makes sense. I appreciate you and your time. Thank you! @@CPSteveMiller

Hey Steve i'm not trying to be nosey but i am thinking about retiring and moving to Florida and am possibly interested in doing what you are doing. You didn't mention what the 3 cars paid? I am only interested in making the most possible with minimum setup so i am very interested on what kind of revenue is to be made on 3 car haul rountrip. I would only do it partime. I enjoy your vids and keep up the good work and interesting content. I own a trucking company in Dallas Texas but looking to semi retire but wanting out of the big truck market. Was running 86 trucks and now downsized to 20-25 semi's. Stay safe!
Next video has the detail of the pay. Going down is great. Coming back the rates are horrible from Florida. I try to get as much as possible going down
Steve your videos are amazing thanks. Do you know a good Dispatcher how can help in sprinter load . God bless you

Told you using those long ass jumper cables would work for that . keep Hustling.
Depends on the angle. Turn right a little bit and I'm sol 😂
Curious if any DOT inspection levels check for deleted trucks?
No. That's not their jurisdiction. Now if you're obviously smoking then you'll get some issues at that point if they see it. That or if the truck is obnoxiously loud. There's so many deleted trucks out here including California.
@@CPSteveMiller Really appreciate your time and video's
I got the same trailer. The only difference I have diamond plate
so what’s the max pounds on the vehicles that you can tow now? great content
In between 10 to 11k is what I can scale on the trailer. Depends on how full I fill the aux tank
@@CPSteveMiller hey, did you ever weight approximate weight on rear axles of truck when trailer completely loaded? Im sure it’s over limit and dot violation
@@serega4087 Hotshot drivers, and folks hauling RVs commercially, are frequently operating with overloaded drive axles on their trucks. DOT doesn't seem to bother them over it. But you are correct on them being over limit.

What’s your GVWR on truck and trailer? I don’t understand how you have a dually and a 3 car hauler and still under 26000
It's a 2500 that was converted to a dually.
I'm not under 26,000, I am right at 26,000.
You need a cdl for 26,001 and above.
Truck is 9,000 gvwr
Trailer is 17,000 gvwr
Total GCWR is 26,000. Most loads I do put me right at 25,500 pounds.
Was your first bridgeton stop at Cumberland self storage?
I don't know the name of the lot. I didn't look
I know I missed this but how long is that trailer with the flip outs down?
43ft without
Just shy of 46ft with them out
I've got to ask, how do you run as a non CDL with a 3 car trailer hauling 3 vehicles with a dually? You have to be under 26,000lbs and I know your truck is near 10k, trailer around 5k and each car 3500 to 5000lbs. How do you get by like that?
Truck is 9000GVWR
Trailer is 17,000GVWR
With 3 cars I usually end up right around 25,000 to 25,500 gross weight.
I always check the internet weight on cars before booking them. If you just randomly pick 3 cars without knowing the weight you can go over 26 easily. You just have to plan accordingly.
The truck itself is a 2500 with a dually conversion so that's why it has the 9k gvwr. I took a rear axle, springs, and front oem spacers from a 3500. Never had issues with dot in the 5 years I ran that truck other than 1 inspection with an oil leak.
Do you have any videos explaining how you don't go over your sticker gvwr on truck or trailer?
I can't remember the name of it but I put it in a video not too long ago
He weighs his rig loaded, then calculates how much weight allowance he has left. Let's say that in this example is 400 pounds.
He calculates the weight of his diesel fuel per gallon which is usually a bit less than 7 pounds, but the weight isn't constant so go with the 7 pound high end number.
Decide 7 into 400 and you get 57.14 gallons. So in this example you would want to put in 57 gallons.
He puts in a couple extra if he knows when he gets to the scale he will have burned them off in time.
Up to you and your current circumstances if you want to risk it, because you could get pulled over as soon as you leave the truckstop.
I hope this helps.
It’s the wipers for me 😭😭
Can you show how much smoke is coming out crankcase breather ?
There really isn't any from the crank case/blowby tube

9k gvwr on the truck but what is the cgwr? I bet you are over the manufacturer recommended towing weight. Not good when you get in an accident. Insurance companies love to find ways to not pay.
