Tolle Arbeit. ☝️ Würde ich bei meiner auch glatt machen wollen. Allerdings sind einige der LEDs defekt. Du weißt nicht zufällig, welche dort verlötet sind? :) Daum und Abo sind auf jeden Fall da.
Hi , thank you for your, interest. Yeah i can build you one and send it to you. You can contact me via the Contact information (Email) which you can find in the Channel information. Then we can work it out. Kind Regards
how'd you get it so dirty lol, i am still using the roccat vulcan 80 since it came out, never cleaned it and it still looks flawlessy and a million times better than this one xD
Unfortunately there is no way to make it easy on this keyboard. There are custom keyboards with removable switches out there but this is another story. You can not Really do it without the suction gun. There are over 200 soldering points which go through the PCB, you can try it to wick it up with the help of low melt solder but i would it consider only for one two swithces an not the whole pcb.
Do I have to use the Roccat Titan switches or can I exchange them? I have the 121 Aimo but they seem to be identical. I already desoldered the old ones.
I have both here ad it looks like you can use Cherry Switches instead. I can not guarantee this since i have not tried it myself. But at least the seem to be pin compatible and the bottom pin seems to fit. Update: But the caps seems not to fit, the sit way too tight and do not go down to the bottom of the stem. @@martinlenz6545 The Vulcan Caps do not fit on the Cherry MX Switches. Although the stem looks the same. You have to jam the Vulcan Caps onto the MX Switches so hard that it may damage the key Cap or maybe damage the switch on the key cap pull off.
@@jboxberger Hmm crap. The problem is that the keyboard doesn't work properly. Some of the keys are only recognized after they have been pressed several times, or sometimes twice. So I suspect the switches are broken.
@@martinlenz6545 Ok i rechecked it with some more MX Switches, on new Switches its really hard, i cant get the Switches on, on used MX switches and a bit of force it works. After all there is also a question which height the cap will have after the switch is set. In general i will recommend to get some used Titan Switches or make a full swap.
Do you habe issues with KeyCaps or Switches itself? 1) KeyCaps you can get from roccat, just mail the Support and send them Photos of your Problem. 2) The switches are "roccat titan switches" you can not buy them new, just used (desoldered from another keyboard) from ebay or other internet plattforms.
@@LoopVibe Hey charlie, the model is bundled to my weird printer with many offsets which are not represented in the real world and had to be adjusted by print and try. i've printed over 18 Versions beyond the initial measurements until it fits. So the chance that this will fit with your printer is nearly zero. I will redo that in the future, if this works out then we maybe give it a try. I strongly recommend you to try it yourself, this Skillset may change your life! 😃
It's a fantastic video. After watching your video, I also want to convert it to a usb-c type, can I get a modeling file or dimensional information? I have contacted your email.
Great video! Inspired me to mod mine to USB-C too.
Also, one has to admire your patience, especially with cleaning/lubing the switches!
german keyboard layout :)
Super Arbeit!!! Hätte gerne auch ein 3d Drucker D:
Wow. Lotta *thock* went into this. 👍

Kannst du die autodesk Datei zum download verfügbar machen? Ich will das nämlich auch machen, kenn mich da aber nicht so gut aus.
@jboxberger where did you find the crimp terminals please do you have a link or reference?
Thanks for the great video :) Can you leave a link to the parts you used in the USB-C cable mod? I'm looking at doing this to my Aimo 122.

It's not mine, i buy them broken and fix them. I know it makes no sense but it kind of relaxing for me. 🙂
Is there any way to get the switches off easily for cleaning? The caps go off easily but can I remove the switches without that gun?

ca serait possible d'avoir la référence des bornes a certire ?
I have the same keyboard. Can you clean and fix my keyboard? haha
Hi
Are the titan switches of this particular keyboardtype pre lubed in the factory?
:)
I have not seen any signs of lubrication aside from "dry-aged" coca-cola 😅. I think the are in general not pre lubricated.
@@jboxberger thank you for swift reply :-D good job with the interesting videoes^^
That isn’t a 121 amo but a 120
You are absolutely right, i fixed that. 👍
Hallo, cooles Video!
Ich finde deine Kontaktdaten nicht, kann ich dich bzgl. Usb-C Mod kontaktieren?
