Which fans are safe for a video card? My palit stormX 4060ti has a fan 12v 0.45a, it buzzes unpleasantly at any speed. I have a 12v 0.18a case fan. Is the difference in rated current dangerous?

I just drew a baseplate in CAD that mounts to the holes that mounts the shroud, and made 12 holes in it for the fanscrews. These fanclips dont look really secure to be honest, but its a nice idea.

Besonders lustig ist das bei den Modellen mit dedizierter Grafikkarte, da hat bei Schenker die CPU Priorität. Der SIlent Mode hilft dabei den Verbrauch der CPU zu senken aber bei den größeren Geräten reicht die USB-C Verbindung dennoch kaum aus. Das Ugreen Nexode Pro 160W und das Ugreen Nexode 300W laufen stabil, das Anker 736 100W Netzteil funktioniert ebenfalls, wird jedoch sehr warm. Außerdem spielt das USB-Kabel eine große Rolle, selbst für 240W zertifizierte Kabel schaffen manchmal kaum 100W stabil.

I can never understand why manufacturers like XFX put these massive coolers on their cards, only to pair them with these terrible fans.

Using the Noctua fan clamps from Noctua fan coolers makes so much sense - i can't believe I didn't think about that. I'm excited to do this to my Radeon 6000 card. Thanks for the idea!

Ich habe auch den selben enclosure von icy box, und habe das problem das ich nicht die 20 Gbits mit dem mitgeliefertem Kabel erreiche. und dann habe ich heraus gefunden dass man ein usb gen3.2 gen 2x2 braucht. (könnte man mit dem Kabel auch monitore verbinden oder das MacBook laden?) ich bin am überlegen ob man mit ein thunderbolt 3 (usb-c) oder 4 diese Geschwindigkeit erreichen kann. aber nach dem ganzen vertraue ich dem gerät nicht mehr so ganz und wüsse nur am liebsten wie ich diese 20 Gbits erreichen könnte. die ssd drin ist die Samsung evo970 1tb

Hello. I have 2x Artic 120 mm standard 1500 rpm PWM fans connected to my fan header of my graphics card Msi AMD Radeon Rx 480. And exactly the way the original fans were connected, i.e. 4 pins and 3 pins. Only one of the two fans gives the RPM level signal. Both have same colors and I thnink wire colors is standard for these 4 colors. But now the automatic fan control no longer works. By default the fans run at 100% all the time even though they are silent fans and should not run without load. In Afterburner I can switch from automatic to manual and control it between 25% and 100% and manual control works! And the measurement diagram also shows me 900 - 1500 RPM. It looks like the card can carry the load of the bigger fans running them at 100%, no problem. But somehow the automatic mode fan control no longer works and I can't understand why (Temps are low 26°C) ? I see 2 options: 1) During the driver installation you will notice that the fans are being tested. It could possibly be that the installation detects an error because the fans do not spin up to 2000 or 3000 rpm like the original fans. And the installation then sets the automatic mode to permanent 100% fan speed. 2) You have to crack the firmware of the card and readjust the fan control of the firmware? I guess it can only be the first though. That means there's nothing you can do except use fans with the same RPM. That no error and bad setting occurs ? It's not a problem in itself. Since you can start Msi with Startup with 25% fan. And the fans aren't loud at 900 RPM. And before you start a game, set the fans to 100% with Afterburner. and after playing again to 25% manually. However, an automatic is better.

Appreciate the video! However, you should provide more information where applicable. E.g., you demonstrate how you found the right material to use (maybe PETG?) but don't tell what material it is. Also, the cooling solution (obviously) also has a direct impact on the GPUs thermal performance and thus the performance of the card. Therefore, in order to give viewers more context and help them decide whether or not to build this themselves, you could (or even should) include benchmarks in these videos for both temperatures and loudness of the card. Maybe compare the temps of the cooling solution when ran an the same dB(A) as the stock cooling or compare the db(A) when targeting the same temps. Apart from that: Schönes Projekt!

Ist es nicht logisch das ein Laptop mit original 90W Netzteil wenn es mit 65W USB-C betrieben wird das Leistungsverluste entstehen? Oder hast du geglaubt das die restlichen 25W über WiFi kommen? 🤣Und das es mit der Dockingstation nicht funktioniert liegt einfach daran das dass Notebook nicht direkt mit dem Netzteil kommunizieren kann.
