Just bought this keyboard after building a new rig (3700x and 2070 Super). It's hands down the best low profile keyboard I've ever used. It's a damn beaut and hitting the keys feels so satisfying. Titan brown and cherry red works great for all around computer work whether it's business or gaming related. I picked it over the Corsair K70 - I didn't like its spacebar or font and the price was $60 more. The Vulcan feels like it has a way more quality build as well. It also won't break the bank at $100. Many of its competitors are $150+. Works great with my DeathAdder. Great work Roccat!!!

thank you so much I didn't know how to control this keyboard and I thought it only had one l.e.d mode but now that I saw this video I can finally change my keyboard lights!
I have this keyboard and I can say that Vulcan 120,121, and 122 aimo models are having an switches issues. My Vulcan 121 AIMO started to not taking all the commands (A-button mostly) and this is happening when I gaming and I press a lot of buttons and fast. If I use it for coding and regular desktop usage it's okay. It's under warranty but at the service, they claimed it works just fine (I guess they did not test it in a gaming session...). I forgot to mention that this happened after less than a year of usage (I am playing only csgo, but alot). Anyway, be careful if you buy one of those models.
Exact same problem. Just sent a ticket for support, but having heard their customer service is less than receptive, I'm not expecting any replacements despite it being under warranty.
I've had 3 roccat vulcan's over the past ~4ish years. All 3 have had multiple keys fail. I've tried cleaning them with compressed air. I've taken them apart and removed the switches, cleaned and then replaced them and the only thing that seems to work is to remove the keycap on the keys that have failed. There seems to be a mechanical issue where the keycaps themselves cause the switches to no longer activate properly. They're nice keyboards, quiet and comfortable with the low profile design but don't expect them to last much more than a year. My corsair vengeance k70, which is louder and not as sleek is simply built better and going strong without issue after ~7ish years. Considering the price of the vulcan you're probably better off buying something that's cheaper that'll also break down after a year.
I just purchased the Vulcan 121 and so far, I love it. The only 'issue' I have with it so far (and this is just a petty visual thing) is that you can't sync the lights up to interact with a lot of the popular games I play, which is quite disappointing, as my older keyboard could do this. You also can't sync the lights with music or colour pick. I simply think this is a missed opportunity and would like to see this added in future :) And I know you can do this with certain ROCCAT keyboards and mice but I think it should be extended to more recent makes! :)

Okay, I love the keyboard, the best I've ever had. But I don't really like Swarm in terms of RGB customisation, it's a joke tbh. Swarm provides you with 8 presets from witch 2 aren't fully customisable (not including AIMO): Wave and Snake (Snake has 10 colour presets). And it's a bit shit for someone like me bc I like Wave in light blue and dark blue but the only thing I get is rainbow. And the problem is that I cannot program that in Custom Mode because the only effects it provides are Fully Lit, Breathing and Heartbeat. Something like Razer's Chroma Studio is way better because it provides 11 presets that are all customisable. And if you want you can use all of these modes on one device. So as I said, I love the Vulcan and I don't think that I would exchange it for another keyboard but it's kinda annoying that I am so limited when it comes to my specific taste in RGB. And with that I can only quote Barthez's top comment: *Beside that it's a superb keyboard, what means it does it's primary job perfectly.*
i just got my beautiful 122 and the switches the rgb the aimo everything feels so smooth and fun to use not like my last rgb keyboard but the last one wasnt a bad experience anyway i just love this keyboard and its features so friggin much!
I wish they added layered lighting effects so I can have one color on all keys, and a layer above that which is reactive (like ripple). Now if I use ripple, they keys not pushed are just dark.
That wrist rest does fall off, you can hold it in the air and it’ll stay on. Yet with a simple tug, it will come off. Glad magnet strength was not overlooked
I really like the key design and the wrist rest design on one of the ones I just saw on Best Buy but the RGB and MEDIA/Macro keys are a total letdown which is why I couldn't abandon my CORSAIR K95 Platinum in favor of it... :l Looks cool in most angles though.
I can tell you another thing about this keyboard, the led lights started to fail in the firsts month of use and roccat wont give any support. Be aware.
It's good but I buy the roccat Vulcan tkl and doesnt have a wrist rest can i buy it separately, it will attach well with magnet and it is the right size? thank you
Is there a sleep timer function for the LED light switches (e.g. turns off automatically when inactive for 1 minute)? If the LED lights are on all the time even when we are not using it that will shorten the lifespan
I will be getting my Vulcan 122 in a few days (The son of a b*tch was hard to get in Canada... only available on Amazon, and always back order!) Can't wait ;)
Why didn't you include the Thumb buttons (Ryos and ARVO)? this is such a great feature, as the natural resting position for your thumb is on/below space bar. Would like to see this feature come back.
I got myself the Vulcan 121 and the Roccat leadr and I gotta say they work absolutely perfect. Edit: I got recently the khan aimo and the taito xxl to finish the set-up and it's sooo godlike
-80 is black with only blue lighting and no scrollwheel -100 is silver with the scrollwheel and full rgb -120 is similar to 100 with an included palmrest -121 is just a black version of 120
While beautiful keyboards, I've literally just had to return my Roccat Vulcan Amio 121 twice since I bought it last week. The keyboard seems to work fine for anything not involving gaming. IF you game and have to use the WASD keys prepare for sudden unwanted movements in random directions. Even a simple game like World of Tanks, using W to move forward, my vehicle would suddenly veer left or right. I emailed Roccat and even went so far as to send them a message on their Facebook page and got no reply what so ever. REturned it and replaced it with another 121 at first thinking my luck I got one with a defect. The replacement did the exact same thing. Had to replace since useless for gaming. IT's a shame because it's IMO one of the most beautiful keyboards on the market if not slightly over priced. Replaced it with a Razor Blackwidow Elite and have had no problems what so ever. Would have been happier if Roccat had got back to me and not forced me to go with a competitor.

Posting on newest video in hopes of better visibility....I've got the ISKU+ Force FX keyboard and have two problems with it I can't seem to find answers for. 1. How can I just have the LEDs on constantly? I hate having to wait a few seconds to be able to see my keys in the dark. 2. What exactly does the heatmap feature do and how do I make it work? My assumption is it changes the colors of keys used most often as they're used, but none of my keys ever change color no matter how long I go for. Thanks.

The 4 preset Profiles for the Lights are NOT changeable and cant be saved, without Roccat Swarm running in the background. And with that I can only quote Barthez's top comment:
*Beside that it's a superb keyboard, what means it does it's primary job perfectly.*
ordered!
i just got my beautiful 122 and the switches the rgb the aimo everything feels so smooth and fun to use not like my last rgb keyboard but the last one wasnt a bad experience anyway i just love this keyboard and its features so friggin much!
I had my Vulcan 80 for almost 2 years and i recently got the new vulcan pro, these keyboards are just flawless
I wish they added layered lighting effects so I can have one color on all keys, and a layer above that which is reactive (like ripple). Now if I use ripple, they keys not pushed are just dark.
that would be sick roccat
That wrist rest does fall off, you can hold it in the air and it’ll stay on. Yet with a simple tug, it will come off. Glad magnet strength was not overlooked
sounds nice, please make one with a thumb cluster like the isku had. i Need that for my Work.
Be aware.
Just got an 80 today from game which was on sale at £40!!!
Hey Windlefly! Unfortunately, there is no such function for a sleep timer for LED lights.
@@turtlebeachpc hi Roccat, please add the feature to roccat swarm if possible, thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion. We will forward to our design department :)
@@turtlebeachpc that would be a great feature to implement seeing that the rgb is often the first thing to break on a mech keyboard
I will be getting my Vulcan 122 in a few days (The son of a b*tch was hard to get in Canada... only available on Amazon, and always back order!) Can't wait ;)
We're happy that you finally receive your Vulcan 😎 👌
WOW!! I gonna buy this one ;D
They announce a new one tomorrow
1:51 the keyboard bends when the mute button is pressed so I would not be so sure about the "solid build"... Otherwise very nice keyboard.
thats because of a soft pad under it not because of the structure of the board. you know foam tends to do that...
@@pino_de_vogel Nah, just watch it frame by frame with , and . keys if you have a PC.
@@pino_de_vogel You´re absolutly right. It´s solid like a diamond. I love it.
Why didn't you include the Thumb buttons (Ryos and ARVO)? this is such a great feature, as the natural resting position for your thumb is on/below space bar. Would like to see this feature come back.
Hey there, thanks a lot for your suggestion! We will keep it in mind and forward it to our design department :)
I got myself the Vulcan 121 and the Roccat leadr and I gotta say they work absolutely perfect.
Edit: I got recently the khan aimo and the taito xxl to finish the set-up and it's sooo godlike
That's nice to hear! Thanks a lot for the feedback 😍 👍
It sounds like i'm a arschkriecher but I really like those products
That's totally okay 😘 😎
nice products! i have your aimo mouse and just bought this wonderfull keyboard. nice to play and use working!
Nice to hear! Thanks a lot :)
suuuuuch a good video
Amazing product hope this company gets rich
I wish they made a compact version. I would buy it so quick.
What would you use the compact version for?
Do you plan to make a model with a split space? some ergonomic keyboard?
Thanks for your suggestion! At the moment, we cannot talk about future products :)
So I’m confused ? What is the difference between the 120 and 121 ?
-80 is black with only blue lighting and no scrollwheel
-100 is silver with the scrollwheel and full rgb
-120 is similar to 100 with an included palmrest
-121 is just a black version of 120
What's the Durability of the Titan Switch
Up to 50 mio clicks :)
Hey, first of all: we are sorry to hear that you had issues with one of our products. Do you still have a ticket number from our support team? Maybe I can have a look and provide you with an update?
@@turtlebeachpc no I don't have it anymore. Deleted it after I returned the keyboard. Been over 4 days since I sent the email and contacted your company on FB messenger. no point in waiting for a reply i figured i was never getting
@araradrew not a chance in hell I would have waited that long. A week was too long
The key caps are so thin that over time they break off.
vulcan 60% W H E N
I would literally buy it in an instant, with Bluetooth available would make it even better!
quality keyboard below $200.....thanks Roccat...will be ordering 122 in a couple of months....
Diferences between red and brown and between 121 and 122
11: The Switches are soldered onto the keyboard so you cant replace them yourself, like you can do on most mechanical keyboards. :) also the switches tend to malfunction easily. dont waste money on this thing. honestly.
just came here to say this.
The only thing im missing are changing lights while playing music (for example playing Osu).
Or maybe you can teach me a lesson and im just to dumb to use this mode.
check out signalRGB. its free too
@@AngryWildMango thanks!
Can i use th eFN f1 f2 f3 thing to set up layouts? Like gamin glayout highlights only some keys and then another to setup my trading hotkeys? oh can set up macros by the tenkey area? nice
I have to use SignalRgb cause Swarm doesn't give any customization in term of lightning.
Please give more color modes and more possibilities because there's just nothing. For now it's disabled.
Great design
Thank you :)
Is it possible to stop the flashing of the sound key?
I would buy a TKL version...
I have had a vulcan 100 aimo for a year ish now but my inputs are bugging. Sometimes an input goes through after spamming it. Any fixes?
When are you going to make these wireless
Posting on newest video in hopes of better visibility....I've got the ISKU+ Force FX keyboard and have two problems with it I can't seem to find answers for. 1. How can I just have the LEDs on constantly? I hate having to wait a few seconds to be able to see my keys in the dark. 2. What exactly does the heatmap feature do and how do I make it work? My assumption is it changes the colors of keys used most often as they're used, but none of my keys ever change color no matter how long I go for. Thanks.
beim Start von Linux Mint läuft immer der Buchstabe `a` ,aber mit ESC kann man abbrechen.... aber sonst voll zufrieden - besonders das Klick - Feeling gefällt mir .... ! sehr gut von mir :-)
🙏 😍
Gutes Video
The damn keycaps start peeling and leaving oil marks. Handed my keyboard down and moving to Corsair! NO PBT double shot keycaps = no bueno!!!! no matter how good looking the keyboard is.
what do you mean peeling off?
@@nanezferrer3565 Keys start flaking off. I was furious and just gave my keyboard away and let Roccat!
@@bobbybeta3967 you cant replace the keycaps with pbt???
Had the Roccat 121, gave it away after 6 months. Keys get all oily and grimy.
Will not return to roccat until they get their shit together like other competitors.
Their keycaps are some of the worst ib thr world
Actually i know all of them because i watched the video like 10 times lol xtD
But how good is it at handling a water spill? I broke many keyboards like this.
Where is the Aimo Background?
You cant save custom Color Profiles for your Keys WITHOUT the Swarm Software running active in the background. The 4 preset Profiles for the Lights are NOT changeable and cant be saved, without Roccat Swarm running in the background.
I know,...its not the best info for an advertizing Promo Video...but 9/10 Gamers buying a 100$+ Keyboard expect this simple "Thing" in 2020.
I really needed to write a support mail to get 100% confirmation about this, because i couldn believe it... :D
But yeah, the Titan Switches, the Macros and the quality and looks of Vulcan Keyboards are flawless...
Are there white pbt keycaps available?
would be great if swarm would work
I dont know why, but my Game Mode dont work. I cant activate it :(
What's the difference between Vulcan 100 120 121 122?
Is there any difference like switch or pbt keycaps? Any difference?
Btw it was the best keyboard i have!
a question i have the keyboard and its wonderfull but i dont know how many keystrokes it lasts so roccat please response
and also does it the custom soundeffects still work
The switches are designed to last 50 Million keystrokes. Sound and lighting effects can be customised in the Swarm app.
I bought this keyboard 8 month ago and I'm super happy with it. But I would like to clean every key, so my question is whether I can remove the keys.
I was a Corsair fan until I bought one of these.
My Vulcan 120 keyboard just stopped working, it doesn't connect to the computer, even when i check the things connected to the computer on settings it isn't there. Please help me with this problem
