    Hey Gilbert. I know this is old but i have a question about changing the plugs. Do i need to change the ignition coils as well or i will be fine just changing out the spark plugs only?

    • @gilbertbernal41
      @gilbertbernal41  9 месяцев назад +2

      Nah u will be fine... unless u chamge plugs and still have a misfire... but lets say u have a misfire in cylinder 1 (after plugs changed) , then grand cylinder 1s coild and put it in cylinder 3.. if the misfire moves to cylinder 3 then kts your coil pack. And kt of persist after u change both then might be a bad injector. Just food for thought

      @@gilbertbernal41 ok great. Recently, my Q50 was lagging while accelerating about a month ago. Once I got back to my home, i turned off the car and turned it back on then drove it around the block. It was fine. It happened again couple of days ago. Then i noticed when i tried to turned on my car for the first time, the power went completely out. I thought it was the battery. It wasn’t the battery. The car came right on when i tried again. I changed the air filter and clean the MAF yesterday to see if that changed anything. I noticed my car was struggling to turn on. This morning i checked to see if it would
      Crank without anything issues, same thing happened and it sounded like it was misfiring. I knew it had to be the spark plugs. I was told i might need to replace the ignition coils, too.

      @@gilbertbernal41 the alternator should be fine. I would have noticed it if it was running off the battery only. It didn’t drain the battery.

    If I were you, I'd put the OEM sparkplugs in, if you wanna get the best performance. Trust me the ignition system is designed to work best with the OEM one's.

    • @gilbertbernal41
      @gilbertbernal41  Год назад

      You running e85 ? I gapped them at .022. I also do that on my bmw that i have now and i did it on my audi as well as per my tuners. If u run normal gas my tuner told me .022 to .024

    • @gilbertbernal41
      @gilbertbernal41  Год назад

      You never put anti-seize on plugs. Stop with the stupid advice.

    • @greenflame8398

      Yes, a dab of dielectric grease on the coil pack side and a q-tip sized dot of high temp anti seize on the threads. Easy peasy.
