Hard to be able to afford stuff like that living off youtube paychecks! He's doing just fine the way he is, building his collection slowly! Give it a couple years down he road hopefully he'll be set up!
Had the same issue with my clutch. I changed both cylinders and the line with no luck. Turns out as the clutch components we're breaking in, it was slowly losing just the tiniest bit of throw. The key was to get the pedal adjusted JUST right.i mean a 16th of a turn on adjustment was the difference between sweet spot or not. Also had to shave down the pedal stops to almost nothing. This was the flyin miata happy meal. After numerous hours upside down under the seat I nailed it. Be careful with the lock nut on the pedal, just a little bit of movment and it will throw it out of the sweet spot. 2yrs no problem since. Good luck man!
Hey gingium, I have owned my miata for an entire year. My entire ownership of the car, the clutch felt super short and the clutch wouldn’t initiate until really low into the throw. I bled my clutch at least 30-50 times trying to improve the situation. It was not until a week ago that my friends and I adjusted the actual pedal in the drivers footwell. I am certain there are videos on RUclips on how to adjust it, but now my clutch feels absolutely amazing. I believe it may be worth a shot for you!
I hope you read this comment. Your content is awesome and your channel is definitely my favorite automobile channel. And what ever you do, do it for yourself because they are your cars (bus and van). If you ever need used Toyota Previa parts hit me up , I work in a scrap yard and we recently received a 93 Previa in great running condition.
Omg. The first seconds. Would be the best meme of all time. Just Repeat the first few second over and over again. 😂😂😂. Love your vids. Serious. Good job gingium
Good luck getting that part. I waited 3 weeks for parts from them that should have came in 3 days, all because they couldn't be bothered to ship the items.
Billy RS The old one was a variable LSD, which is supposed to lock and unlock by itself. But it was shit and never locked so its basically an open diff. The Torsen diff has longer gearing and is actually an LSD
The factory rubber clutch lines get hairline fractures in them that will let the system gain air without loosing fluid. Exedy makes a great full length braided stainless steel line that goes from master to slave, where as most others just replace the short rubber section.
Just to let you know my experience with the clutch line! I have a 1991 Miata and my clutch was doing the same. I also ordered a stainless clutch line to replace that coily boi. It was worn a hole in it from vibrating against the transmission. Since it was my only car at the time, I JB welded the little hole in the coiled line. It worked great until I replaced it with the stainless line! If it doesn't come in on time for the event, that could be an option for a quick fix!
Gingium >>> Hello! Here's the trick to engaging both wheels at once (like in a "spool" / fully-locked differential) with the Torsen: when there is slippage, slightly depress the brake pedal and then both wheels will be fully engaged. I hope that helps, enjoy! ;-)
949 sells a clutch line that goes from the firewall to the slave. Or project G or Miata Roadster sells a line that goes straight from the master to the slave. Both are nice options.
Stock is 4.3 which accelerates better, has a higher highway rpm/fuel consumption and lower top speed. 3.9 has slower acceleration, lower highway rpm/fuel consumption and higher top speed. Neither diff ratio holds boost longer, changing transmission ratios affects that.
Talking about axles you mean half axles of course...nice work and agree with the guy above who wrote for sandblasting.at this age car has already started to rust in very main spots of the chassis!
Yea, I just replaced my whole clutch hydraulic system last week. My master cylinder was leaking and the rubber line was rotted, those are the two places that you collect dark gunk from, as well as a worn slave cylinder like mine.
Try adjusting the clutch rod at the pedal. I also had to remove the rubber stoppers at the pedal to give me enough travel to fully disengage/engage the clutch on my miata
I think you already have pretty good content. Not sure you feel like it, but I'd definitely watch your vlogs. Maybe some chill local car meets or something, ionno.
Have you gone through adjusting the master cylinder pushrod length? Typically adjustment IA required with any new clutch component. Flyin miata has instructions on the procedure
My last Miata had a lot of problems too with the clutch hydraulics. I ordered a stainless line but never got a chance to install it before the car rusted itself to death. I just got a new Miata though and I’m about to install it
Your Rally Miata is being talked about for being a unique off-road build. I saw it on Facebook. Some page posted it. I sent a screenshot on your Facebook.
Looking at your Tires as you put the Blue Miata on the lift, it looks as if the one on the left rear might be backwards because they seem to be directional and that one should possibly go on the front right. But if you plan on shredding them anyhow... Party On! BTW, enjoying your Videos.
my boi gingium, next time replacing the diff bushings try putting them in the freezer for a few hours, and when you go to put them in warm the holes they are going into, but not so much as that it melts the bushings, just my 2 cents
Just rent a control arm bushing kit from autozone or whatever use the long coupler and the cup and impact that baby to the stars. if you opposed to that go to home depot or a hardware store get the longest bolt you can find, a rather beefy nut for it , a tube that fits around the bushing opening and doesn't touch the bushing itself and a shit on of washers that are the same diameter as the bushing the cup and a few washers that are bigger than it over the bolt through the bushing and put the nut with the other washers on the other end and go to town with 2 wrenches. Both of these can be used to install bushings as well as you want to make sure they are evenly seated. just a tip and only the tip
I enjoy your videos so keep doing what you are doing! Now about your clutch issues. I had a similar problem with my NB miata, it was the Master cylinder, believe it or not. After changing two aftermarket parts I decided to go with an OEM part and the problem was gone. I couldn’t see the leak because it was leaking from where the pedal plunger meets the master cylinder, behind the firewall. I hope this helps you.
Good job... although I found myself wishing you took some time to clean and fix the little rusty bits all over the back sub frame while you had that axle out.. you would of doubled the value of the car making it look clean.
4:25 You might need to take a look at your alternator. I can hear a squal which can come from the pulley on the alternator and your tail lights are flickering.
You shouldn't hit the drive shaft cause if it gets bent or dented it won't be in allignment properly anymore and you will be able to feel that when driving even if its only slightly out never mind you putting in a diferent one anyway but just a tip and same goes with the axles
Uh... this may be a feature of the Torsen, but normally in an LSD, when you spin one tire, the other one spins the SAME direction... not opposite. Can you shed some light?
Gingium Actually, torsen differential stand for TORque SENsing differential. This means it is an open differential until you apply torque to it, only then it will lock up. That's why it acts as an open diff when turning 1 wheel. So just so you know Ging, this differential will open up as soon as you come off the throttle. Not the easiest to drift with but it is manageable. I know all this because I owned a NB 1.8 sport and tried some drifting with it. Just watch out, it may be a bit snappy (snapback oversteer) when you come off the throttle mid drift.
Once one wheel is on the ground(aka gingium hand). The other in the air,Its supposed to spin the opposite direction,That's how you know your Torsen diff is good to go👍.
Dude, before you pound bushings in, put them in the freezer and freeze them. as if you do they contract and you can pound them in a million times easier. (hint for next time)
Awesome video as usual, keep it up 👍. Did you switch the was way your record audio up ?, Because it sounded better than it normally does. Keep it up 👍👍👍.
Gingium probably barely reads his comments, but I’ll say this; The arms on the lift should be both spread apart, not one folded over the other. At least, that’s how most places do it anyways. I get that it’s your shop and all, but please put in some clear, CSA approved safety glasses. Not those sunglasses there barely tinted, so they’re “basically safety glasses”. Also, it’s supposedly, not supposebly.
Cant belive you’ve come this far, when i started watching you, you hade 5k subs and sat at home and made forza built our bought videos. Long time ago
Sebastian Bergram Stridsberg least I’m not the only one
Defiantly one of the highlights of my days is when gingium uploads tbh
Im gonna say it again you should invest in a sandblaster
rocklime17 if you don’t own one odds are you don’t know how expensive they are.
Hard to be able to afford stuff like that living off youtube paychecks! He's doing just fine the way he is, building his collection slowly! Give it a couple years down he road hopefully he'll be set up!
Sandblasters are expensive and a lot of work though and I'd argue that he doesn't really have a need for it.
You can get one offline for less then 200
rocklime17 And safety glasses.
>Can't find a Turbo II engine
>Finds a torsen diff
Gingium to you lads.
>Can find a Turbo II
>Expensive tho
>Gingium broke af
IMNOTA he found only expensive ones
Alex Livingston
That's exactly what I wrote. I wrote "Can find a turbo II Expensive tho".
...
The only reasonably priced ones he found were either sold when he's on his way or automatic
IMNOTA he only found cheap ones
4:38 going from that lifted beast to that lowered beast looked awesome
The Real Gamer notice the song in the background said "reality is..." *Car starts*

I've already watched this but the other day blew up my dif in my stock mx5, thanks pot hole
The evolution of this channel in regards to content, editing and knowledge of Caleb 👌 keep it up man
Dude ur getting better every day

The new smaller wheels make the car look so much more balanced. Really cool

In Almost every video of u it is “THE DAY” for anything
I've had to turn my notifications back on like 3 times now yours is the only channel that I'm subscribed to that RUclips keeps shutting off
I didnt know a lot about cars, but watching your videos i have learned a good bit. Good luck with drifting and keep uploading dat good content.
I hope you read this comment.

I love how he makes little puns of his name all the time like paintium
Good luck getting that part. I waited 3 weeks for parts from them that should have came in 3 days, all because they couldn't be bothered to ship the items.
u fr my favtvre youtuber watched ur show sence when u played games on the dailys been here for years u awesome bro
What's the diff with the new diff? Any diff? 🤷🏻♂️
Billy RS The old one was a variable LSD, which is supposed to lock and unlock by itself. But it was shit and never locked so its basically an open diff. The Torsen diff has longer gearing and is actually an LSD
DIFF, DIFF, DIFFITY, DIFF DIFF.
It was supposed to be a pun

@ 11:00 that's why mechanical clutches are the king💪

Aero756 lol
I think molly looks so good with those rims
If you freeze the bushings overnight they're easier to put in
949 sells a clutch line that goes from the firewall to the slave. Or project G or Miata Roadster sells a line that goes straight from the master to the slave. Both are nice options.
Man... I've always liked the Turbo Miata 😁 that blue is beautiful
Almost 300k, dont forget us when you hit 1million 😁
Awesome! Can’t wait to get one for my Miata! Also still want to buy that rally Miata steering wheel!
your starting to get a lot more subs! i have been here since forza builds
3.9 is a shorter gear than 3.3, not vice versa. You’ll get less mpg, you’ll be in boost for a shorter time, but acceleration will be better.
Stock is 4.3
M3XICAN_SWAG it's a 4.3 not 3.3
M3XICAN_SWAG unless you mean something else then yes you're right but the diff that was in the car was a 4.3
Stock is 4.3 which accelerates better, has a higher highway rpm/fuel consumption and lower top speed.
3.9 has slower acceleration, lower highway rpm/fuel consumption and higher top speed.
Neither diff ratio holds boost longer, changing transmission ratios affects that.
if stock yes, but now he got more power so i think 3.9 accelerates faster than 4.3 with this settup.
7:54 That sincs just perfectly to the music...

Try adjusting the clutch rod at the pedal. I also had to remove the rubber stoppers at the pedal to give me enough travel to fully disengage/engage the clutch on my miata

lol love the Alan Watts speech in the music
I gotta say, baldium is looking 🔥🔥
Same diff I have in my turbo mx5! Fantastic for going sideways👌🏻🔥

I think you already have pretty good content. Not sure you feel like it, but I'd definitely watch your vlogs. Maybe some chill local car meets or something, ionno.
This channel should have way more subs then it has like all the other channels are straight bullshit and clickbate this is a real channel
Watch the very begining at 0.25x speed, The arrival of the bald Godium himself
haha

Well I'm subbed since 40ishhh subscribers and now your at 300k almost....did take a long time lol 😂

Check to see if your clutch spring is broken, my integra did the same thing, clutch lever was fully depressed but was still engaged in a sense
Your Rally Miata is being talked about for being a unique off-road build. I saw it on Facebook. Some page posted it. I sent a screenshot on your Facebook.
Mine is coming tomorrow.... coolant reroute Sunday...then next weekend FM turbo kit.
i would of just welded the old diff for drift season and keep the new one for when you daily it
Simon Villeneuve but it’s his daily year round
Simon Villeneuve he’s getting another car for daily, I think an is300 or something

No way... my miata is having clutch issues too. I just bled em last night still doing it so I’m convinced it is a pinhole in my line.
You should clay bar the the turbo miata and clean it up a bit better after the drift event
I can't believe that you disn't start up the car without the exaust !
It's not your line it's your pressure plate. I had an s10 that had the same problem. I ended up replacing the clutch pressure plate and it fixed it.
:( I hope not.
Love this content bro
push back on slave cylinder and pump the clutch it should build up i had the same problem on my mazda i had

ew no
Gingium 😂
SideWayz Moose kinda overkill unless you're going for an LS swap.
SideWayz Moose not necessarily for his power level. If he did the 500hp 1.8 swap could be useful.
Hopefully this will be a Diff-in-itive fix
streetwear trash haha nice one
do the proper hardware in your rear spoiler! it would look so good
4:25 You might need to take a look at your alternator. I can hear a squal which can come from the pulley on the alternator and your tail lights are flickering.
Heat and hammer, oh wait wrong channel
I think redusing the negative camber in the rear will give more even tire wear. Adam runs +0.5 in the back iirc
While drifting that is
You shouldn't hit the drive shaft cause if it gets bent or dented it won't be in allignment properly anymore and you will be able to feel that when driving even if its only slightly out never mind you putting in a diferent one anyway but just a tip and same goes with the axles
Gingium you need some rust converter on those control arms man
Uh... this may be a feature of the Torsen, but normally in an LSD, when you spin one tire, the other one spins the SAME direction... not opposite. Can you shed some light?
Torsen diff's are not like that. With a torsen diff the wheels are supposed to spin opposite directions in the air

Get your shit straight lmao
Jelle so a fuji diff is better for drifting since it uses a clutch mechanism?
Dude, before you pound bushings in, put them in the freezer and freeze them. as if you do they contract and you can pound them in a million times easier. (hint for next time)
I don't know if someonne has mentioned this earlier but if that diff came out of a Mazdaspeed, Itll have a 4.10 finial drive and beefier axles.
Are you going on a trip with your new LSD?
When Molly is getting more power
Try to adjust your clutch pedal, maybe the locking nut is loose and you can't press the master fully in
you might have either clutch slippage or clutch dragging
LSD stand for limited slip differential and if you put LSD and then differential after it the second differential is rhetorical
60fps lookin fine
gingium... get a shop press. even if it's harbor freight, i won't judge. but it makes everything easier
Awesome video as usual, keep it up 👍. Did you switch the was way your record audio up ?, Because it sounded better than it normally does. Keep it up 👍👍👍.
Is that one of those traffic lights just chilling
Project brap is back
