I drove an X5 M non Comp a while ago and I was blown away by that as well. Doesn't make sense how flat it was through the corners.
As a LCI F90 M5 competition owner and a family man, I would definitely say that the M5 will not let you down. It's great for doing family things, at the same time, it is such a thrill when other cars pull up on you at a stop light and challenge this beast and you dust them off the line. The sound is music to the ears, but I'm still on the fence if I should delete or change my mufflers. Without a doubt they're big boy cars. They're unassuming, but when you want to have some fun, they can do that in spades.
I’d say it’s a solid upgrade. The M4 looks more aggressive but with this you get more car and the V8 biturbo

It's nice, but if you want a sedan then I'd get an xDrive G80 over this all day (I have a G82 xDrive myself). I like the F90 A LOT, but I drove one and it just felt too big to me. Plus, I researched that the S63tu can be really fragile once tuned. The seats are waaaaaaaay more comfortable than the ones in the G8x though, that's a fact. You honestly should've gotten FULL leather, that's why the G82 feels cheap to you compared to the F90. I have it in mine and it makes a HUGE difference.
BTW bro, Porsche maintenance isn't fun at all. My uncle regrets getting his, he's now looking at an M8. I plan on keeping my G82 for a LONG time.
The M5 is nice but I agree the G80 xdrive is the way to go for Slowspeed, especially if he wants to feel more engaged. S58 doesn't sound as good (imo) as the v8, but it makes reliable big power so easily.
At the end of the day there is no perfect car and its all subjective.
I’ll definitely agree on that I had a f90 m5 recently got a 2023 g80 M3 comp and I love it feels so light like my Zl1 1le but with actual space lol

Honestly in any M owner fashion you would want a Porsche next right. I think the idea of having an M3X or M5 is awesome. However. IMO, the money you would spend switching to and then upgrading a similar platform would just be a waste. Arguable you would have the same experience you already have with the M4. I would just save/wait for a great opportunity to get a Porsche.

My dream car man. Well outside of a supercar. Met some really cool dudes at bimmer Invasion and he let me drive his brand new f90 M5 competition. That confirmed it for me. Dope seeing you drive it and give your opinion.
You'll love it! I got a 20 competition about a year ago, sunroof for sure, I did get the Bowers and Wilkins, it's a good system, same color.
Ima support what ever you get next but Ik one day you going to get that Porsche you want hopefully a turbo S

m5 all day baby shit is a monster friend of mind traded his g87 for 2023 m5 comp absolute weapon of a car he gapped me to hell in my f-pace svr on the fdr 2 nights ago which compared to the g87 he barely pulled on me.
Also if you want to save I bet you can find a 2019 m5 comp for under 70k that as all the boxes ticked.
M5 is a great all around car fast and comfortable. Interest rates are stupid right now

I would think the M5 just needs an exhaust to be more engaging. If you can hear the V8 it adds to the sensation of speed, the build up during acceleration. Maybe a transmission flash but it seems to be doing all the other things right
The M5 is designed to be luxury performance car. I had a 2021 M5 and No tune, exhaust or suspension upgrades will change its luxury car nature.
@@andretomlinson507 That’s cool but that’s your personal preference to keep it stock which has nothing to do with the context of this video. The M5 is/marketed as a sports/performance sedan that happens to have luxury features. If the focus was luxury he could go buy a 7 series… his issue is he wants it to be more engaging like the M4 = he needs more performance feel and what I suggested is what would get him there. Most people don’t roll around in M5’s to keep them stock.

I thought you said “you had an M5 and had no tune, no exhaust etc because *it will change the luxury car nature.” Now that I get what you’re saying… bolts ons won’t change the nature of the car but I don’t think the point is to change the nature of the car, just to make it more engaging to drive. no bolt on is going to make it not be a large sedan but I do believe with bolts on and a transmission flash and exhaust it will make the car more fun since it already has a good performance and handling base. Buying and M5 and wanting it to be a lotus would be foolish on the buyers end. I’ve never owned an M5 but have been in tuned ones however I have more accurate experience in an AMG GT 63S (my older brothers car) that car is an even larger heavier car that is more focused on Luxury than even an M5 and even that car was definitely more engaging with a flash and no additional parts.

I’m heavily considering an M5 Competition (2020-2022) currently still driving my TLX Type-S and I love driving it but I want something faster. Going from a new reliable Honda product to an questionable reliability used BMW may seem odd.
but I believe if one does their research and ask other M5 owners about their maintenance experience and such (perhaps reach out to some guys over on Bimmerpost in the F90 section) I think you could make an informed decision on if it’s right for you.
I’d tell you hold out for a 911 since it seems to be what you really want and you’ve talked about wanting one for awhile now on the channel.

I really think you should invest in a small production team and do weekly car reviews before buying the 5 series Beemer. I think it will be a better ROI, and you will grow your channel cause I think you have a unique perspective and way of conveying the raw excitement to your viewers. Personally, I’d take the 2020 G30 M550i over any F90 off sound alone. S63 just sounds like shit to me. Plus I’d rather spend $40k than $60k. The difference in steering and suspension between the F90 and G30 would be apparent but only so much when you’re only driving on the street n freeways. Either car is a 200mph car with DPs, intakes, and a tune

The leaking coolant reservoir on the F90 is the main thing turning me away from it as there has been no proper fix from BMW so I’m praying the G90 looks somewhat decent when it’s revealed.

the m5 chassis is just more isolated from the driver its too obedient and lacks the feeling of a g8x car when you punch it lift off the throttle g8x cars will turn your stomach upside down with reflexes because its so solid and composed

Cast internals= boom boom sauce aka bent rods for this S63tu engine when you tune it. You should keep the G82 or choose a different platform because the S58 is forged and is perfect for mods. I wouldn't buy this F90 if you plan on modding bro. Your mouth would drop to the floor when you see the bill for a new S63tu motor. Test drive an E63 which has forged internals and can take a beating all day when tuned. You might like the AMG as I can tell you're feeling that V8.

Personally the individual color doesn’t do it for me. I love looking at a nice individual color rolling on the highway or at a car meet but it’s not worth it personally, I barely care too much what color the car is, I wanna jump in and drive in any condition just enjoy the car without any thought in the back of my mind about this expensive paint option and PPF with I’m not a fan of as well. I prefer the zero cost option of seeing you guys do it and having that damnnnn that’s nice moment when you drive by!

I dont know how many miles your M4 has, but my brother was just offered $66K on his 2021 M4 comp with 18k miles as trade worth last week. Used 2021 M4 comps with some miles are currently going for 69-72k at used car dealers. I wouldn't take any offer under 65k. Of course yours is modded with no powertrain warranty which may lower the value some.
Check out my dealer Paul miller in NJ. Great people already from my salesman to service department. Didn’t feel pressured to buy anything, see my G30 no down payment, filled out paperwork and spec car to my liking, waiting a few weeks to a month until delivery. Picked up my vehicle with no issues they even put the big red bow on it 😂. They due sell used Porsche there also
