    Yay for 2m multi mode radios!
    Give the Practical Wireless QRP contest next year on 2m ssb from a hilltop with a beam - you'll be amazed how far it'll go :)

    Everyone demonstrates the 290 on FM - but does it work on CW and SSB?

      They work fantastically well on SSB

      Yes I know "they" do. My point was that individual examples for sale often only quote (and show) the FM performance - usually fine. But SSB and CW use a lot of circuitry exclusively for those modes - and can become just as faulty as the FM mode.
