That was a very enjoyable overview. The 120 is etched in the minds of marklin lovers of a certain generation because of the lovely 1980 catalog cover with a 1;87.1 crowd gathered around the locomotive. The stuff of dreams.

It is from an era when advances in railway technology were still a big event. Thanks for you time today.

Another interesting docu about the DB's interesting aera's of the 70's and the 80's. I remember like yesterday, the Märklin catalog form 1980 with the 120.0 on the front page with all these Preisser people surrounding it and staring at the locomotive. 😄

Glad you enjoyed it, I wonder what it would look like with Minions (from the despicable me movie)

I'm not a collector of Marklin myself (more Hornby dublo 2 and 3 rail) but I do find you're videos informative and very enjoyable to watch keep up the great work.

I am always fascinated to look at your model. And how many trains you can get all to run together. Spectacular. And how nice the TGV is the first time I see it turn. Congratulations very good. Ciao. Google Translator 🙏

Great story on the BR 120! I must admit I am a fan of the look of it and enjoyed seeing it in real life - despite all the issues with it. (...and I really like sausages!). Great video. Enjoy ;-)

I like this video very much, interesting information about era IV and the start of era V.
And a very nice display of some of your collection which happen to be some of my favorites.
    Than you.

Lovely well researched. The class 120 was quite the debacle indeed and in retrospect an expensive test bed for new technology. At least some good has come from it. Not our dream design either; the front could have been penned a tad more interesting but Märklin has done a fine job as for a model. Thank you for the captivating overview.

Hi, thanks for your researches and documentation, it‘s always interesting watching your videos.
    Projects stories:
To generate synergies leaders often would like to creat the „Eier legende Wollmilchsau“
(don‘t know this expression in english, may be „one fits all“).
The result is often too expensive, production time extremly long and if it is finally all finished , world has changed and the technology is obsolete 🤣

@kleinerfisch13 Ah! I see what you mean now, of course. But they wouldn't have been sold in the same catalogue.

Have a look at www.modelrailroadcollector.wiki if you need to quickly look stuff up. There is a good reference database, that's what I use to manage my collection.
