Thanks for the review. What's the best product for coarse texture in your opinion? Something that is also restyleable not rock hard.
I would recommend Morris Motley, American Gardens by Shear Revival, or Arcadian Matte Paste
Missing the short hair demos like you used to do.

AG is lighter in weight and with better texture. Hold and endurance might be a bit better with Tropics because of the presence.

How is the hold vs Arcadian matte paste?
Purely based on hold they are similar
What hair oil/ hair tonic are you using? Your hair looks so healthy.
I don’t do anything fancy, department store shampoo and conditioner
How is this clay for a short hairstyle?
I would say it’s better as a short hair product

I would choose Morris Motley every time
Does it get oily in hot weather? For fine hair will it be a strong hold?
Never oily, potentially to dry for some people. The hold is firm/strong but provides loose texture. Don’t expect your style to stay tight or slick
