Tried this alone and as a topper. Worked better for me as a topper than it did alone due to the lack of stickiness. Wondered why..and saw that it does not contain kaolin. Kaolin seems to be a key ingredient in the products that help My style. Between this and northern lights, i dig the NL👌
Would you think this would be good for a messy hairstyle.. I have medium length hair, I like to wear it messy but controlled .. I'm debating between this, the northern lights matte paste and the Templeton tonics Oasis Clay..
@@Ahmt19071 thanks a lot! I am currently using Arcadian matte paste which is really good, and also, the Templeton tonics Oasis Clay, which is amazing too! I was thinking of getting the northern lights matte paste but from what I hear, this gray ghost has much stronger hold and is very user friendly, so I think I'll get that next 😃👌🏼
@@tamasmenyhart8483 yeah, I can confirm the hold is very good. Northern lights is of course more matte than gray ghost, which has more of a natural shine. But gray ghost isn't such a slick pomade that you could only do classic styles with it. I think it's also suitable for messy styles.
@@Ahmt19071 thanks a bunch for the info! Makes it much easier to get it without thinking whether it's good or not haha this will be my very first shear revival purchase 🤞🏻
I find it odd when I hear people say that northern lights is a matte product. It comes off semi greasy in my hair
My favorite Shear Revival product.
Would you recommend this over Flagship cream pomade ???
Hey, thanks for the review! How do you compare this to dauntless pomade? Did you review dauntless pomade or did I miss it?

LongDongSilver78 Northern Lights is also great! But yeah, Gray Ghost is, well, a Cream Pomade, so it not having kaolin isn’t surprising 🤷🏻♂️
Got it brother, thanks for the reply!
Is Shear Revival home brewed?
Really great review. but can you give me some point to consider for gray ghost or northern light because i want to pick one of them. Thanks
Kevin Karnoto Gray Ghost is thick, slick, and has a waxy feel. Northern Lights feels light, smoother, and not a slick product.
How is this on short hair?

I don't know, if you tried it already but I can tell you go for this. It's great and so versatile, you won't be disappointed.

@@tamasmenyhart8483 it was my first shear revival product too! Let me know how you liked it when you use it
Is it just stronger version of cyrstal lake
ibby81ae watch the video and draw the conclusion for yourself.
Can you review lockharts medium pomade and is it good
That is an upcoming video for part of my "Why It's a Classic" series. Check back for that episode when it drops!
