Hello there! I hope you guys enjoy this video! Unless of course you have a problem with my shirt, then you probably need to go cry to mom because she will be the only one who cares 🤷♂️😂
Lol 1- your liking your own comment. You think no one knows but I can tell and that makes you even more pathetic. And 2- saying I’m the one hurt because I call out your stupid comment isn’t a defense that makes you look better, it just makes you look even more pathetic. I’d quit now while there’s only a handful of us laughing at you.
I have pretty coarse, thick and somewhat wavy hair. Crystal lake doesn't work as a standalone, but surprisingly if you put a small scoop in damp hair and blow-dry then use a scoop of whatever else, all day hold and volume. Great pre styler even though its supposed to be a post styler
Awesome video! Good presentation, script, demoing, cuts, lighting, background music choice. I appreciate the work you’re putting in, and as a long time sub it’s super cool to see your quality getting better and better.
Well thanks for sticking with me! I’m trying my best for you guys that not only subscribe, but don’t participate in the trolling and idiotic commenting. With the presentations, I’m sure you guys can tell, but I’m constantly trying out new things and trying new ways to get the quality up, while also upgrading to better equipment as I’m able to bring it up that way too. I really appreciate it a lot
Possible? Yes haha you can definitely do this. As far as possibility goes you can do whatever you want. Mix suavecito with cavalier clay if you like haha! Would you want to? That’s another conversation. In this case yes it’s possible and yes you would likely enjoy the outcome.
Good review. I tried many products n can’t find a good one. I liked the uppercut matte pomade but wished it had a more better hold. Which matte product with strong hold u recommend?
Don’t even know how long ive been waiting for you to do this I’ve been following your channel for a year now and it’s pretty much my big reason why I’m even still in RUclips lol but keep it up mike love the channel
Awesome video, love the brand highlights! I know you said you weren't sure about what products were reformulated specifically, but any word on if Northern Lights was one of the ones that was changed?
Yeah there’s some people who interpret it differently, I think of it as light-medium-heavy-firm-strong-heavy. Personally I think that’s too many descriptive terms for hold strength too haha!
If I want a Shear Revival product that has a hold of Northern Light with a tad shinier than natural shine/semi wet look without hardening, which product should I buy? Crystal Lake, Easy Tiger, or Gray Ghost?
Hi Mike, I tried the o'douds x shear revival WAX and I freaking love it! Too bad its a limited time product, so I was wondering what product is closest to the WAX?
Try any less modern UWB. Red House Private Reserve is a good choice. O'Douds Original (or whatever the first variation was called) if you can still find one is a beast.
Man Mike I freaking love your videos and especially the full line reviews. They’re always so on point! What I recognized is that the The One Who Knocks Pomade is missing. Is it discontinued as well as the elm street light Pomade?
Hey there! Thanks so much for watching! This video was quite a while ago so I honestly don’t remember why they didn’t have me include those in there. It could have been that they were moving those to seasonal or small batch only items or they were going through a shift or even deciding what to do with those at the time even. A lot of brands have been going through that lately with their petro pomades. I have no idea what the latest is on those unfortunately. I appreciate your comment though! Sorry I’m not more help here.
those aren't comparable really..they are very different. Different results. Comparisons with hair products 90% of the time dont work so to choose you have to check out the videos and see the results and info presented and see which one looks better for you.
hey mike, i know this isn't related to the video at all but i just wanted to know your opinion, which products do you like more, Blumaan Cavalier or Stickmore Clay Fiber?
@@MMTV oh ok, thanks a lot. i tend to ask for your opinion bcs we have a similar hair type and based on previous experiences, what works for you works for me. thank again
Modern Man TV just a quick question but when you get your haircut, what do you ask for? I believe it’s real nice and I’m looking to get it somewhat similar to yours
Well my cut is unique to my head, and I don’t say that to sound special, I say it because like my stutter, my head is quite annoying. My hair grows out and curls on the sides so I keep them short, around a 1blade or so. My head kind of curves in towards the top so I have to leave a bit of Length there ( the upper sides) so I get it faded to about a 2 or a 3 or so. Then there’s the top, which gets wavy if it’s too short and has no volume if it gets too long so I keep it around 3.5 inches and it’s longer in the front and it gets shorter towards the back which is disconnected, because there’s more issues back there. My haircut came from a couple of years of trial and error with my stylist.
Maybe one day! Next I actually have nostalgic to cover, they made some formula changes and it should make for an interesting look for you guys and myself.
Really the end result is the same. They are both a collection of oils, both the same size, blumaan uses more individual oils I believe but the feeling in the hair is the exact same.
Really!? Oh wow that is funny. The dog came from one of those “build a Bear” type places and the tag said Jake so that’s how he got his name. Is this show a kids show? If so he would probably enjoy it considering they have the same name haha!
Modern Man TV That is actually quite a good question to ask and now that I think of it, the demographic is actually flexible. It was made to air on Cartoon Network so it definitely is age appropriate. It has a colorful theme (but rather almost trippy) and cute characters that children would certainly enjoy especially in the earlier seasons but starting the mid seasons the themes of the episodes can center around rather dark and mature themes and a number of adult references...but the show is made in a way that all ages would be entertained by, I'm sure your son would love it but there might be some things that go over his head, but I don't think that would be a big problem. I watched it a lot when I was in my teens

Awww finn and jake i love it
He had such a good time.

I really like these brand showcases you’ve been doing recently. Keep it up mike!
Awesome video.
I love this brand. Good price and quality.
Salute and much success!!!
I would love to purchase the Northern Lights matte paste and the crystal lake water based pomade.
I really enjoy both of those!
Loved the bit with your son! Kid has great hair too ;)
Hi Mike - Amity got a lot of praise, but what's your favorite sea salt spray of all?
I have pretty coarse, thick and somewhat wavy hair. Crystal lake doesn't work as a standalone, but surprisingly if you put a small scoop in damp hair and blow-dry then use a scoop of whatever else, all day hold and volume. Great pre styler even though its supposed to be a post styler
Like these hair products I feel like I have stumbled on a hidden gem with this channel. Great production value and very informative
Ozzy Man Diaz thank you very much!!

Is it possible to use blumaan meraki as a prestyler with crystal lake for more hold?
Possible? Yes haha you can definitely do this. As far as possibility goes you can do whatever you want. Mix suavecito with cavalier clay if you like haha! Would you want to? That’s another conversation. In this case yes it’s possible and yes you would likely enjoy the outcome.

I'm kinda impressed with Crystal lake. I'm curious about the other products. Is grey ghost & northern lights the same difference?
Your kid is going to have the best hair in elementary school, hands down
Don’t even know how long ive been waiting for you to do this I’ve been following your channel for a year now and it’s pretty much my big reason why I’m even still in RUclips lol but keep it up mike love the channel
Maybe you could do the Templeton tonic one, since Chris released the newly reformulated Oasis Clay 😀
Just got it, it's awesome!
Perfect timing, I've been thinking about getting the crystal lately 😁
Super easy styler!
Whats a good hair product for natural casual wet look that can be easily restyled for thicker hair
Still have yet to try shear revival lol always wanted to try Crystal lake, is it true the formula for it is changed?
Awesome video, love the brand highlights! I know you said you weren't sure about what products were reformulated specifically, but any word on if Northern Lights was one of the ones that was changed?
What watch are you wearing here? Love the white dial on brown leather look.
Great Video! Subscribed! I just can't decide on what Shear Revival Product to try.
Welcome!
Nice review, so firm hold is more than medium hold? Or how does it works? I want something whith a high hold and matte
For me, that’s Gray Ghost. Same hold, maybe even stronger hold, but not as dry as Northern Lights.

Its desodorant good???
Can you use this as a prestyler?
Maaaan I really need that texture spray and Northern Lights!
Need to try out this line whenever I run out of the Don Juan handmade and the hustle.
Would you rather go for the crystal lake or paradox by Lockhart?
those aren't comparable really..they are very different. Different results. Comparisons with hair products 90% of the time dont work so to choose you have to check out the videos and see the results and info presented and see which one looks better for you.
Hey Mike just out of curiosity should I apply crystal lake on damp or dry hair?
I did it on dry hair but you could do whatever you like.
hey mike, i know this isn't related to the video at all but i just wanted to know your opinion, which products do you like more, Blumaan Cavalier or Stickmore Clay Fiber?
Cavalier
@@MMTV thanks, may i know why?
More hold, and it shifts to high texture later that still has great hold
@@MMTV oh ok, thanks a lot. i tend to ask for your opinion bcs we have a similar hair type and based on previous experiences, what works for you works for me. thank again
Great video man. Amazing production.
"shaped and molded" i see you mike
Would the Loyal Clay be a good pre styler?
For me it has a bit too much shine for that.
@@MMTV Can you share your thoughts on the hold between "Loyal Clay" and "Crystal Lake"?
He kind of said... Crystal Lake has a higher hold
does crystal lake harden up?
Not in dry hair!
Silver Fox I'm team damp hair application and it never hardens up in my case either
“Today we will be loo-“😂
I have a terrible time with my stuttering it’s unbelievable
Modern Man TV just a quick question but when you get your haircut, what do you ask for? I believe it’s real nice and I’m looking to get it somewhat similar to yours

I actually have my head the exact same way! I know how annoying it can be because whenever I do my hair the sides always come up
"The snout?"
"..Yeah"
"Lol"
Lol he wasn’t even close I think he said smouse 😂
Great video Mike!
Best hairstyling products hands down
Can't wait for new video
There matte paste doesn't hold up to humid Florida weather. Becomes greasy
It doesn’t get THAT humid here so I don’t generally get a chance to test for that.
@@MMTV I hear that. It's still a good product. But, their many others like, Arcadian I think is better
Tribute to Crystal Lake and O'douds Original, OG of UWB and still prolly smash the rest of the competition today.
That kid makes me put an instant like
Next time please do O'Douds !!
Maybe one day! Next I actually have nostalgic to cover, they made some formula changes and it should make for an interesting look for you guys and myself.
Did they changed the scent of Krystal lake ?
Yes. In fact, they reformulated it it a bit. I notice the hold, shine, and washout are quite different.
I freaking love Jake !!!!
I really liked this video but I think that you where a little bit too fast on some products like the oil, but really nice
Well.. what else would you like to know about the oil? I pretty much said everything I wanted to. Remember it wasn’t a review.
@@MMTV the main thing that I want to know is which is better between this and blumaan cloud control?
Really the end result is the same. They are both a collection of oils, both the same size, blumaan uses more individual oils I believe but the feeling in the hair is the exact same.
@@MMTV thank you for the answer 🔥👍
Yessssssssssss
Another great one Mike! Certainly see the appeal for these products, but they don't wash out 100% so they just aren't for me.
I mean.. easy tiger was a bit of a struggle because it’s their OB pomade but the others came right out with 1 shampoo.
Was it just me, or did you forget to edit out a redo of "one of the brands that has shaped and molded..."
Yes I stuttered there and didn’t catch it.
3rd
First
Thanks for the like.
Love the subtle Adventure Time reference!
I have never seen that show 😬
Modern Man TV Probably coincidence then. The main characters are a teenage boy named Finn and his dog Jake
Really!? Oh wow that is funny. The dog came from one of those “build a Bear” type places and the tag said Jake so that’s how he got his name. Is this show a kids show? If so he would probably enjoy it considering they have the same name haha!

The Squinty Show thanks bro! We might have to give it a go 👍
