Great video thank you I'm trying to learn different stitches. You explain it nice and slow so it's easy to follow your tutorial. I shall now stick with. The casting couch. As Their so easy to follow. Thank you.
I also followed your previous tutorial a couple of years back to make this scarf. So funny to see this part deux video today. I wore it to the store and a woman inquired about it. Love this! Thank you so much for your videos, You've inspired countless of us to take up knitting again.
My dear, your Trinity stitch video was simply outstanding!! Quietly done (without the annoying background music present in so many tutorials), well lit, camera at the perfect angle. I especially appreciated that you kept repeating the pattern, making sure your viewers fully grasped how to do this lovely pattern correctly and easily. Thank you for sharing your skills. Have a wonderful New Year in 2017. You are an excellent teacher.
Martha Gartsman - Happy New Year to you too! I have been trying really hard to up the quality of my videos so I am really happy to receive such positive feedback. Thank you!
16:01 That's the know-how of binding off the raspberry stitches! Thanks to you I am about the finish my first raspberry stitch scarf. I've used different yarns and mixed three colors so my project looks pretty different from yours but I love the patterns nonetheless!
I really love your tutorials! They're so easy to follow along with, and that the end results come out looking great! This is a really nice tutorial for a scarf btw 😊😊😊
I'm back lol been a while I remember I did this scarf for my daughter last year and she loved now I will do this again in purple., it took me ages to find you an now I have subscribed again
your tutorials are so easy and the result is simply awesome.i made a scarf using trinity stitch and it came out wonderful.but somehow I am not able to get the vintage lace one done.
deepti gupta - So glad you got a great result knitting the Trinity Stitch Scarf. Keep practicing the Vintage Lace Scarf. It is not the easiest stitch to master. If you keep going back to it I am sure you will get there!
Hope you like the first attempt of your student towards knitting _lh3.googleusercontent.com/Y6qhX-PJqNd0c4tegqXMHmNNH0k-PCMutSZDvb3Z3sTVTvqMBGk7mln3Gj3pJ2eqSfz2O6uo0Q_
I'm in the middle of making this gorgeous scarf and I've been thinking about the cast off. I can see the purpose of this is to finish the half-completed bobbles while compensating for the "lost" stitches with a yarnover either side of the single stitch produced for each cluster of 3 purled stitches and now I have a couple of questions. First: What was your thinking for choosing to do this after row 1 and not row 3? Maybe I'm just being a bit obsessive about counting but it would seem logical to use the cast off technique to finish a complete "round" of four rows. Second: If I wanted to modify this cast off to use it after the 3rd row, am I right in thinking that I would simply rotate it/reverse it to match the stitch clusters? So it would look like: k1, *[yf, cast off 1, p3tog, cast off 1, yf, cast off 1, k1, cast off 1] and repeat *[ ] 7 times, k1, cast off 1 and pull through cut end to finish. In short, as long as I create a new stitch using a yarnover either side of the p3together, then I should get the same kind of result? Thanks in advance for your assistance. I may well get enough matching yarn and create a hat and gloves to go with this scarf. I used King Cole Chunky Tints in lilac and now it looks like a blackberry fool/Eton Mess which seems kind of appropriate as I have also seen it called blackberry stitch too!
Just Another Bucky Lover - My thinking was symmetry. I liked the pattern beginning and ending at the same point. Yes, as long as you create the yarn overs to either side of a p3tog cluster, it will achieve the same result, which ever row you decide! Have you seen my Raspberry Stitch Beanie Video: ruclips.net/video/z1BlzpnymUI/видео.html Good luck with all the knitting.
Thank you so much for your quick reply. I will have a good look when I finish the scarf and decide then which makes my obsessive brain happier! :) I have seen the beanie, yes, and I think I will add the hat to go with the scarf too once I complete my next projects.
Hi I love this video so much. The raspberry stitch is just so adorable and it doesn't seem too hard to do. I'm a beginning knitter and I'd really like to try this. I'm going to be using the same wool as you (Twilleys freedom wool) and I'll have to order online. The website says the yarn weight is 1.75oz and the length is 50m. Do you think one will be enough or should I get 7-8 like you said? I don't even know if that's what you were talking about lol. I'd really appreciate your help thanks again for making such a detailed and thorough tutorial ☺️
Jayda Kinnon - Used the cable cast on, but longtail will work just as well. Have you seen the matching Beanie? RASPBERRY STITCH BEANIE: ruclips.net/video/z1BlzpnymUI/видео.html I recommend at leat x7 50g balls. Good luck and send me a picture via instagram if you have time!
The Casting On Couch okay yes thank you. That's what you said in the description. I hope it won't bother you if I need to ask more questions in the future
this is awsome video that explains alot but I'm not really good with the knitting needles i prefer the crochet lol is there a way to do this in crochet
Isabella Santilli you could adapt my Beanie Hat. This video shows you how to work this stitch in the round: ruclips.net/video/z1BlzpnymUI/видео.html If you use a chunky yarn as the video, expect to cast on 100sts for a small cowl and 160 to 200sts for a cowl that wraps around your neckline twice. Good luck!
I know the yarn is chunky but what size yarn do i need to get to go with the 10mm knitting needle? The ones I’ve found on amazon seems too bulky for it.

Jayda Kinnon - each 50g ball of Twilleys is 50m per ball. You would need at least 7. Hope that answers your question?
