    If you’re interested in seeing the previous owner’s renovation of the chateau, head on over to Adrian and Carole’s channel at @LifeAfterLaFerté.
    We’ll finally be getting to the REAL chateau content in our next video, so thank you for sticking with us and getting to know a little more about where we come from. Your comments and support mean so much to us! Xo Reni & Gustavo

    Love your way of editing, of making your move interesting. Different and unique instead of copying other renovation channels (in some of them just holding the camera to endless cleaning, painting, nailing, drilling etc). Love those bits about architecture, history and aesthetic stuff in general. Well done!

    I love your perspective of basing your renovations upon the history of the living space. I can't wait to see what you discover about the Chateau! I am also interested to see how you take on the major projects, like the staircase foundation which Adrian was wise enough not to try and tackle himself. I am also very interested in what you do with/find out about the various outbuildings. Can't wait for the next episode!

      I'd have to rewatch Adrian's video but I wonder if the stairs themselves aren't supported by the walls rather than sitting on the floor. French stairs can be surprisingly self-supported and I vaguely seem to remember that the floor had sunk in relation to the stairs rather than both.

    Can't wait. Was so disappointed when Carol and Adrian sold the chateau. Loved watching them doing the renovations. I would like to follow your journey but prefer vlogs where you speak directly to camera all the time and show you actually working on the restoration projects. None of my business of course. Just my personal preference. I have subscribed to numerous chateau vlog channels but find I only regularly watch the ones that do vlogs that way. eg. The Pethericks, Doing It for Ourselves, Bordeaux Life, Journey to the Chateau, Chateau diaries, and of course the lovely Dan reconstructing a burnt out shell from the ground up. Some that just mainly do voice overs I find too impersonal. I am looking forward to see you working on the chateau and hope that you consider carefully how you create your vlogs. I know they involve a lot of work and you have other work to think about as well. Take care on your wonderful new journey x

    I watched Adrian and Carole from the first at LaFerte, It will be so interesting to watch you turn LaFerte into your own dream home. We brought our first 4WD in 2004 a Ford Explorer. Brand new! It was a fabulous car, however when we moved to Tasmania and petrol went to $2 per litre it became unaffordable to have a V8 car while living 50km out of town!! Our daugther named the car "Dora The Explorer" too. Until then we just called it the car or the explorer, how boring of us. We sold it to a neighbour of ours and we often see it parked in their drive across the paddocks and have a little sigh. I miss the days of towing the caravan with it.

    Personally I loved your apartment ….however I m sure what you ll do with the chateau will be very interesting and different with no more added gilding

      Thank you so much for your comment. We loved that apartment as well. It was tough and scary letting it go, but we think la Ferté will be worthy!

    О Боже... как же я счастлив что вы тоже будете вести канал в этом прекрасном шато! Я смотрю несколько каналов с шато во Франции и не только, но именно ваше... я не знаю, но оно для меня имеет особое притяжение! Я даже подумываю построить подобное у себя на Байкале, но позже... пока есть другие планы и задачи. Я с огромным удовольствием буду следить за вашей историей с шато! С уважением из России! 👋😊👍

    Can you do a video explaining as a musician Reni how you were able to come to France for music? Was it an artist visa ? Residency program etc for other musicians looking to do the same

    • @OhNoAnotherChateau
      @OhNoAnotherChateau  11 дней назад

      That's a great idea...yes I came with an artist visa and I'm currently on my first renewal of it (which lasts two years). Was not as difficult as I expected but you really need to be organized and plan ahead.

      No surprise, that’s what the Internet seems to be there for: to constantly express (unsolicited) opinions, safety concerns, suggestions, health tips etc. To people whose background and day by day life will stay unknown to us viewers (which is perfectly okay). Content creators have to be very strong to endure all of that after the hard work of editing good videos (like this).

    Was just thinking 'omg anything they think they have by buying and old car is going to go down the toilet in disastrous levels of petrol consumption" and then you made the comment on the cost of filling half a tank 😂😂😂
    Next time you need an old practical car get a Toyota Verso.... Small but like a Tardis with 7 seats. I used my old one for delivering furniture and sort furnishings for a design practice and ferrying around dozens of small children. It could contain more goods than a huge Porche Cayenne (I once transferred a load of stuff to a wealthy clients Cayenne and he had to leave some things with me.....)
    Good luck you lovelies, it's going to be a wild ride ( although I did think of unsubscribing when I thought you had voted for la front nationale....but I'm hoping that was a joke). Lovely segment on your artists atelier. Good luck❤

    The car looks as if it was stored in a specialists garage for classic cars. It will have been well looks after hopefully.
