i am using a torque converter... it is the original that came on the Kawasaki club car.... .i eventually solve some of this problem but am far from happy... i did buy a different carb that gave me some more down side adjustment... and it will idle now but...just barley.... i doubled up on the springs and and this also helped ... i need to find a longer belt due to the starter setting on the side of the motor and making the drive and driven a little farther apart than the original... if i can do this it may provide just enough slop that everything will work... it not pretty but its close now,, there is just not enough room to do anything else and didn't think finding a longer belt would be an issue ... but have not... any ideas??? Also, as i said not real happy but the next thing would be so just remount the starter to up on top and slide the engine back... really don t want to do this... lot of work... sorry for the delay in getting back but had surgery and am just now getting back in the shop ...slowly.... any advise as to belt would be appreciated
Great job! My dad got one of those for a replacement motor and the wiring directions are less than stellar.

The manual drove me nuts till I looked at the engine. If you have all the wires connected it's pretty hard to get it wrong.

I got rid of the low oil sensor, do know if the black wire that goes to the yellow wires needs to be grounded? Great video.
To charge the battery is brown wire ; but do you splice into it and run it to hot side of battery

I have 18up Duromax. And cannot get it to idle low enough to prevent clutch from engaging. ... Have put heavier spring n clutch but still no success
James are you using a clutch or a torque converter? This size engine should be using a torque converter.
