the air box is a centrifugal particulate filter. it will swirl the air coming in in order to get the bigger particles ejected to the outside, then the inner circle of air is much cleaner. this is often seen on larger equipment engines that work in dusty places.
One of my favorite things about this channel is watching the interaction between you and John. I love it!!! He gives me hope that not all younger people are brain dead. I’m only 29 but my generation and younger are a bunch of lazy bums lol We need more kids like John and more parents like Neil!!
Thank you for showing the differences.I'd guess the added Torque make the difference for when needed. The additional bearing, and gear diameters show that it's built for long lasting power.I'd take a die grinder and make a scoop in the end of it's dipper. The tiniest bits make longer life.
I have reached out to them a few times. They have no interest in RUclips collaborations. The digital ignition 420 I would love to check out but price is more then my curiosity.
I'm glad they answered you.I'd like to know too."Lifan' engines have been used on a few builds I've watched. They were all "mini-bike" swaps and a gocart build though. They all did well.Good luck, and please keep us posted.
John seems a bit over-dressed for this...does he have a hot date after video production LOL. If you cut John's hair we will all think you got an imposter, we won't recognize him...I just don't know how he has long hair and deals with the hot summer heat that way. I keep my hair pretty short, and I only know 1 style of haircut....no guard on the clippers and just cutting it all off LOL. Upgrade to John's Go-Kart with that new Duromax 500 LOL.
i hate zero turns i just "fixed" my customers zero turn by bypassing the neutral switches because i wouldve had to take half of it apart to properly fix it he didnt care so i dont the blades still shut off if he gets off
I`m going to say that the side filter catches on the housing might be to catch water from the Ethenol crappy fuel , , , Could be wrong , , but wild guess !
Bigger carburetor and exhaust flanges with bigger ports to support them, for one thing. 60cc is 60cc and their's no replacement for displacement. Bigger valves. Then there's the possibility of the camshaft lobes providing higher lift than a stock 440. If ARC Racing decides to manufacture a billet rod and flywheel for it, no 440 is going to touch it. Someone will weld and do custom grinds of the cam lobes at the very least. This engine is a beast.

Thanks, you answered a lot of my questions about this engine.
That would be cool if you put that on your racer I bet you that baby be fast. Hi guys thank you for the video
Any experience with the Lifan engines? I am putting a 25hp Lifan engine on a 52” Scag Turf Tiger.

That’s only on the residential MTD zero turns, the commercial ones aren’t like that.
👍

I personally do not see the advantage of them going from the 440cc to a 500cc. I do how ever see going from a 440 to say 600ish cc engine.
Looking forward to seeing what the valve sizes are and the camshaft lift is.
