@@alexanderphilipgreen I spoke to my partner about it. She said it was different. In a good way. We have a 2020 Forester and ancient 2006 Courier dual cab. We would love to go to one vehicle family. Most dual cabs are too rough and too small in tje back seat. The Ford is ok, but too much of a reliability risk raffle. KIA has got to show the drive train is up to the job. If they do O wpuld put my money down. Tjey build good cars, dealership back up is good and KIA are fair with after sales care. Something Ford do very poorly.
Yup! I’m sold. Love how it looks, great interior with enough modern features, some proper buttons and NOT ridiculously big but the tyres could be a wee bit bigger.
I don't mind the chunky styling. The under seat storage is a clever use of space. Kia make good vehicles nowadays. Anyone why insists otherwise if years out of date.
Also, air intake in the inner guard is a smart thing. How clean and protected is the underside? The nose looks short. Tail looks way too long. How high up in the engine bay is the alternator?
Despite the naysayers around it's aesthetics. If it drives ok, on and off road. I would have one, size is right. No one with any common sense will ever hook up a 3.5-tonne trailer behind a light vehicle that weighs around 2.2 tonnes. Physics is a thing. Most trailers and caravans are "Pig" trailers. Pitch and Yaw are real.
I really like the design 🎉 in contrast to most. I think it will look good in the metal and grow on people. Let's be honest most utes are pretty ugly things especially when the roo bars, trays and other accessories are fitted. At least Kia is taking risks, whereas most other utes are barely distinguishable.
Get a replacement grill with headlights incorporated into the corners/sides of that grill and it will be ok, as those wheel arch headlights will be at great risk
Here's a thought. We all agree the Tasman Ute is ugly as .... Now we all know that Kia and Hyundai are differnt sides of the same coin. Make me wonder if Hyundai will bring out a refined designed (if possible) of the same ute?!?
No real problems with the looks. Only concern is the vulnerability of the headlights to damage off-road...
Very expensive LED as well!
I like the look of it. I think I’m the only one!
Not really, I kinda like it too 😅

I like it too. In army green with some bars it will look full mil spec
@brownhairydog6472 I saw a pic of a red one. Looked good.
Nope, here is anther one
The Hilux and Ranger are safe.
If I was kia I would give it a facelift based on the reception

Absolutely hideous. Kinda funny watching all of the media outlets desperately trying to shift the focus away from this design disaster😂😂
Love the look. I wish it would come to Canada

Jeez what a major fumble on the styling. What were they thinking?
The design is simular to the new Santa Fe, and has the same aim of standing out from the stack of cheap competitors!
That cooling fan will never turn off, as that engine is just not suitable for any remote Australian conditions. It a city car.

I know how it looks like. Like the blind alien from Alien: Covenant
Looks really really good.....the front seat needed to be a little higher....

@@netsiteing Have a think about it. Hilux lights are on the front edge.
@@davidholmes3323 I get that but not on fenders which are really exposed
Damage control in effect
just looking at the thumb nail made me feel squeamish. That front!
Fugly. A v6 with 170 plus kw and it would have been a hit, to bad.
I love the new look design. so sick of Hilux and rangers over the years.
It doesn't matter what anyone says, this is one of the ugliest vehicles currently on the market
The amount of teasers they did for this ute made the unveiling of this a bore.
That styling is unfortunate.
The interior is the only good thing. The rest of the ute is terrible
Well, we haven't seen how it drives yet, but that exterior isn't winning many hearts it seems.
Just threw up on my keyboard. Nope I am OUT.
🤢🤢🤢

Tasman,....designed by Tupperware,....built for the woke eco warrior.
