I’ve been at this since 9:30 am. It’s now almost 5:00 Pm. I can get to the control panel, system and security and then no Bitlocker Drive encryption choice. I cannot decrypt or turn off anything bit locker related. I’ve had to enter my recovery key at least a dozen times today I despise Microsoft. I never gave them the choice to add this to my PC in the first place.
The most trouble is this bit lock problem will happen for a while; for a certain period after window installation, user always had already his own apps or data inside... Thanks for your video, it helps! But I like to add that one of the problems may occur that the locked drive also lost its drive letter, for example C: or D: . When this case the bit lock recover steps will never work, the window will not repair successfully. Besides, if the PC has more than 1 disk, for example 2 separated disks, there will be 2 different codes and you should see all of them in your MS account. For my case, I just install the window OS to secondary disk that I have done bitlock unprotected. Boot up by the new window then do fdisk and assign the drive letter to locked drive and then do manage-bde unlock command with the correct code. Eventually the disk is unlocked and I can resume my old window.
This only works if the Bitlocker Key is located somewhere on your PC or another drive he didn’t mention that and he’s not responding to the real Bitlocker questions… but thanks
THANK YOU! My laptop would not recognize my password, nor the bitlocker recovery code on the "blue screen". Using your method via the command prompt screen did the trick. Once the bitlocker was disabled, the computer booted and recognized the password! AMEN!
sorry bit confused as how you get the key off the c drive if you saved it in the user folder ..you by passed the bitlocker and used notepad in the command but that drive will be encryted ??? Sure if that was the case just pull the drive take data and do clean install ? you cant get data off a bitlocker drive without the key
Generally, you can't save bitlocker recovery key at the same drive as you're trying to encrypt. Windows doesn't allow to do that this way. So, if you've got a recovery key on encrypted partition... that means you have to copied this key to this parition... From somwhere else, and in "somwhere elese" you should looking for your key. :)
I was thinking the same thing. He must have gotten the key from the unencrypted drive, otherwise Bitlocker wouldn't make sense. His video shows two drives, one encrypted and the other one not.

@@RahulUpadhyay-pj5nv unfortunately, I have to reset my computer after almost 2 week because all of my work was pending but you can do one thing you can arrange a external hard drive and then copy your C,D drive in that and then you reset your system install new windows and then copy your files.... But in my case my data was stuck after 11GB after so much try I decide only to copy this 11 GB and then when I try to paste my data in new windows it was definitely pasted but still not open till date don't know why

Disabling disk encryption won't affect firewalls. Firewalls are for your network inbound/outbound traffic and unrelated to disks.

I did step by step, but its said ERROR:Parameter "-RecoveryPassword"requires an argument

There are no disk volumes that can be protected with bitlocker drive encrypted. Err😢

You can get through bitlocker without a key without formatting but only for low pin count bitlocker chips
