John M here from the last critique. Thanks for all the advice, I really appreciate it! I definitely knew my photo was going to eviscerated. My collection is a work in progress. Bobby, these are my favorite videos y’all do, I learn so much every time.
Chris C here! I've been looking forward to getting my collection reviewed for quite a while, lol. Thanks Bobby! Scorponok was just a placeholder, which is why he sat so low. Now in his place is HasLab Unicron! I've definitely added some risers, but the collection is as packed as ever! Makes you want to stand in front of each cube and figure out what's in each. Appreciate the work you all put into these videos; I look forward to each critique and always pick up new ideas.
Gotta say man, I was hoping to make it to the comments and find the guy with that display. Because despite their critiques, your display is one of the coolest, most epic presentations I’ve ever seen. I’m genuinely impressed with how unique it is. What bestas shelves are those exactly? I’ve never seen anyone use those, and it looks even better than moducase or detolfs. Freaking love it.
Regarding Chris C’s and everyone else who does museum, A-stance displays, I think it’s time we stop beating that horse. Some people LIKE them displayed that way. That’s subjective. Not everyone like them posed in dynamic or action poses. Or with weapons blazing and fighting or anything else. It might not be what you four want in a display, but I think it’s a viable option.

100% agree. There’s also a balance to be talked about. There’s things to do between massive dynamic poses and a straight A stance.
I also feel like there’s something important to be said about how they can beat the horse on overcrowding a display, but never under crowding it so to speak lol. Sometimes, these collectors genuinely just need to put more figures in the detolf to give it life. But hey, that’s also subjective.
I want to see a "How to pose" video, maybe one for Tformers and one for other types of collectibles!! :)

Regarding the gentleman who has the collection in a smaller area “the comic store type look”
Maybe it’s a situation where the person doesn’t want the stuff in his living space, the reason I say this is cause I have a friend who has mega collections and they are in 3 different closets, he has told me he wants the house decorated in a more traditional style with things that are not toys. I also used to be like this where I refused to put any toys in my living quarters and was isolated to other places. I don’t mind it anymore but 14 years ago hell no I’m not putting stuff in living quarters
On top of those detolfs in the first critique, it looks like Bender's legs
You should do a compilation of the best collections. I need some inspiration.

Hah. I've got a floating box "shelf" similar to Carlos O's, but mine's just housing a KO MG RX-93 v Gundam model with LED strips lighting it up. And before you start hammering me for going the KO route - I did so because they did it in a titanium oxide finish. The thing shines like crazy.

What if for that last piece why not move Din to an angle? That way you can keep the dynamic pose with that long blaster rifle.
I think there should be like a 40 or so character minimum of a collection just 2 b an entry
Question about lighting since those wires came up… with the Norrfly hubs, can you link 1 hub to another or do you need a whole new strip?
I currently have a 10 port hub, but sadly have 11 lights. So right now one shelf isn’t lit (which I’ve kept empty) - but when I eventually start to use and light it, wasn’t sure if I had to get a whole other outlet, power supply and hub.

How do you submit a collection for critique? I’m still working on the finishing touches for mine but would like to submit it when it’s ready. Chris C’s setup is similar to my own but I’d say my setup is a little smaller.

Not saying that Carlos O doesn't have a domineering spouse but it's a huge assumption. Lots of people have housing limitations that they can't overcome and you have to make do with what you've got. I used to have a decent sized house but a couple of decades of expensive medical shit going wrong followed by a divorce has left me living in a tiny space. It won't be forever but if I could get a better place I would have done it. It's kinda offensive to be told "if your collection was important to you, you'd make room". Maybe the dude still lives with his parents. Maybe he has a partner and they planned for one kid but got triplets. Assuming a callous wife just seems like a weird bit of projection.
