We glass lovers aren't scared of dust. We just don't want interacting with out figures to be a chore. I have to clean my house, I don't want to clean 400 figures as well.
The funny thing is Doors cut down on DUST and when you Prioritize your Time, what it is worth and how valuable it actually is, DOORs make a whole heck of a lot of sense. Unless you have a MAID? But would you trust your MAID to DUST your Prized Collection? Then you gotta fret and look at it, not for the poses, or for the Collection itself, but to see if anything may be broken. Lastly, DOORs can open. AMAZING! I know.
Yeah I kinda of agree with you. The problem is there no other representation of him in his idw design (and just none in legend scale) and since he is my favorite character in the lost light crew, I have to put him
Having doors on a display isn't always about the dusting. Sometimes it's just to put kids off picking up and messing with figures. More of an issue when you're figures are £100+ MPs rather than Legends but ymmv. (yes, of course kids can open the doors but weirdly that extra step often puts them off, it put mine off anyway).

It has been two years since mine was submitted. Totally different route on my collection now. Pretty much everything they suggested I’ve already done. I’m not even living in that space anymore actually.
Thank you for the kind words. I think the biggest problem I see with master piece collection is that there are too big for 1 shelf you can maybe put 5-6. Here I managed to put all my head canon arkcrew in 1 shelf display.

I agree glass takes something away, but I'm on team 'Anakin'. I grew up in an arid farmland region and the dust was everywhere and it was abrasive so when you did dust, it would scratch everything all to crap.
Great video! Was curious as to what your suggestion would be in the cases where folks have doors that obscure the collection. Keep the shelves, and remove the doors? Would that look better? Very curious on your thoughts.
@Dummies: Dust... Something to think about that many don't think about (and maybe you have), but depending on location, dust can be a real problem. I grew up in an area that had a decent amount of rainfall and I only had to dust once every couple months. THEN, I moved to Colorado, and I $h!+ you not, you have to dust here, literally, every 2 to 3 days to keep on top of it. It's painful. It may be hard to imagine if you've never lived in a dry and dusty area, but some of these folks may really enjoy their collection, but they don't want to, or just can't physically keep up on dusting 100's and 100's of figures. Here in Colorado, it's very difficult to keep up. I can only imagine some places may be worse. Perhaps these dustphobia folks are in a horribly dry and dusty place and glass doors are the only option to stay sane? I completely understand the annoyance of edges on glass doors, it's very distracting, but I also understand it may be necessary to have them in some places.
Never thought the day would come when Bobby was so wrong about something! You gotta have the glass doors Bobby! Dusting is a pain and bad and the longer you wait, the harder it is to get off. Besides it gets in the joints and crannies and everything of your transformers. 😜
You have to pay closer attention my friend. It’s not about glass doors. Glass doors are fine. Glass doors that have metal rails that cut down the center of a book case display… not fine
Yes you could do that. I think that is how I did it. But for your information I send mine in january 2021 and it was review this week . So you may have to wait a little lol
If you love boxes, instead of buying the figures just take a pic of the box at the store. It's 100% cheaper and also lets someone who will actually enjoy the toy buy it.
Of course. But I think people who send the pictures for review are interested in some advise or feedback. Every one is free to listen to them of course.

If you dust a figure once a year it spends half a year covered in an unacceptible amount of dust.
