The great tenor Jan Peerce used to quote the Talmud, something about how with care, the voice is the last thing to go. I expect that June Foray would have agreed.
I actually really like Shia LeBeouf as Sam Witwicky in Transformers 1. I thought it worked really well there. Wasn’t nearly as good in 2 and especially not in 3… but the hottie who was actually a ROBOT IN DISGUISE really gave that line a new meaning lmao. And I LOVE the line about, “Looking back on your life, don’t you want to say you had the courage to get in the car?”
Yes, Shia will always be the GOAT. It’s a shame that he’s not in Indiana Jones 5 but I hear that they’ll reference him in the film but he’s back after his long break because he shot Padre Pio which comes out this month
I'm the same way. I'm so glad it doesn't suck. Just knowing that they're sticking with the formula that made Bumblebee great really lowers my blood pressure.
@@ShepherdDiltz it is sad yes but at least there's light at the end of the tunnel that something good or something great does fall in our collective lap in a year.. so nuggets of goodness in a sludge of garbage
@@ShepherdDiltzYeah, but that's to be expected when it comes to franchise movies. A flip of a coin determines whether they'll have a good start, or crash and skid across the ground in a flaming wreck.
The thing that made Bumblebee work was the relatively small scale of the story. As much as I am looking forward to this one, I hope we get maybe a spin off or two where they focus more on those standalone stories. It also gives audiences someone to root for when the big team ups happen.
Agreed. I know most people are tired of cinematic universities (and a little tired of the actual MCU), but this franchise could actually use some of that.
they didn’t make enough money from bumblebee, that’s why we haven’t heard of any new stand alone stories. That’s what they were wanting to do. But maybe 10 years from now they might revisit it.
I really liked the military aspect in the original three transformers movies. Specifically the first one. I don’t think we need human characters but I also think if they do it well it can add to the movie
The tagline of the entire transformers property is "Robots in Disguise" If there's nothing to disguise themselves against, then what the hell is the point???
I really loved the last act, it was incredibly fun and had Transformers doing Transformers things and it still followed the main cast. I didn't have any problems with it.
Yep same. It generally was so refreshing having such a small human cast (literally two characters). It actually felt like a TRANSFORMERS movie even if it could have been like 25min longer to give some more quiet moments with characterization to the Maximals.
I liked the very beginning, blacks and monkeys together right off the get go, showing everyone right where their going with this movie all the way through.
The movie was ok, i only have problem with the ugly female lead. If they cast a black woman... at least cast some model, or beatifull girl like Candice Patton, Sierra Capri, Sam Logan,... and so so many HOT black actresses...but nah... they stick to the ugly b***ch
I can't believe it's been FOURTEEN YEARS I've never been subbed to someone that long, I've never subbed to someone right out the gate but JEREMY was the FIRST person I remember subbing to. And I stuck around. I like his vibes. He's changed but he hasn't in a weird way lol
I have a feeling this is the only film we’ll be seeing the maximals. It’s rumored this is the first part of a trilogy but based off what I’ve seen in the film, their going in a different direction any of us would’ve ever expected
@@michaellocascio837 Hope is not, Beast Wars was a great series and Dinobot, T-Rex Megatron, Ratrap and the Fuzors had some great stories, they could do so much with those if they try.
I partly understand Prime's hostile to humans, he sent Bee to establish a base and protect the planet along with its inhabitants. Since he is a scout, there is a high chance he told Optimus or in this case showed his recording that humans even if there are good ones, there are some that humans can be easily manipulated to work with the Decepticons, especially if those humans have position in the government... He also saw that Bee was captured, tortured and killed by the Decepticons that worked with humans and this made Prime angry, and ordered all the autobots to stay hidden until further notice.
Nah. Thing is there was no protection needed if they never came to earth in the first place and brought the war with them. Prime was just conveniently out of character because the script sucks
@@toukendanshiwarrior2846 nah Prime wouldn't be like that in the first place. Instead Primal's character should be like that since he's a more aggressive and emotional. But plot demanded them to be out of character
@@mdtfrfr3683 2007 was good, bar some…Ahem…questionable choices, and the 87 movie was really fun! Bumblebee is probably my personal favourite though, that movie just brings me so much joy honestly!
I'm from the generation that grew up with Beast Wars and after Transformers, so back in 2006 when I saw the first Transformers trailer, I was IMMEDIATELY looking forward to this
It's disappointing that Rhinox, one of my old favourites, doesn't get much dialogue in this. But hey, as long as they didn't turn him into a baddie then at least the movie's doing better with him than Beast Machines did 😅
I just watched it and I really enjoyed it. A little cheesy at some parts. But for the most part it felt like I was engaged throughout the movie. There were parts that had some great payoffs. Even the far fetched-ness and predictable elements of the actual story progression were done with enough taste to make the story fresh and fun still.
Completely agree. Even tho they're technically prequels I look at em as reboots of the whole franchise. Wipes the stink of the Michael Bay films from my mind.
I've always thought since back in the early 80's that if they had Spike and his dad in a live action movie, C. Thomas Howell would have been perfect for Spike and Craig T Nelson as his dad.
THANK YOU for stating the obvious thing that these studios seem to always forget: the classic show didn’t need to focus on the human element so much to make us “relate.” A human element is fine, but they don’t need to be the focal point. We see the movie and care about it because of the Transformers characters…. Not the humans.
You people been saying the exact same thing about this franchise since 2007 It's never gonna get any more better than that, so you might as well stop hoping
Glad to hear the transformers are back but they’re actually GOOD. Hopefully the movie becomes a success so we can see more this new direction for Transformers.
This movie felt like a better, more competently directed version of the previous Transformers movies. It has the same story beats as before, it's still fundamentally a journey to find a lost alien MacGuffin artifact. Although this time around it doesn't have annoying humans and the characters overall feel more developed. I still think Bumblebee is better, but this one's definitely a step in the right direction and I'm excited for the future especially with that 10/10 hype ending. They completely massacred Wheeljack's design though...
I actually really liked the movie. Was very nostalgic for the mid 90s. Great action scenes. Good comedy. Felt like they talked a little too much in the middle of fighting, but I really liked the movie.
If you like Nostalgia go watch The Goonies instead. This Transformers movie is a "woke" version reboot, that focuses on two boring humans from the slums of Brooklyn
@@valpercinabanalan8576 and the sly comments about “white people” the whole time was just stupid. I actually thought the woman was on drugs or something I felt bad for her a little that they made them act like that
@valpercinabanalan8576 this is why I came to the comment section The movie was just cringe because of those two actor very bad acting And some woke garbage about race and victimhood
Really good film, as a Transformers fan since the age of 6 (I'm an adult now), I'm really happy! Got out of the screening earlier today with a big old smile on my face :)
There’s rumors that they’re working on a beast wars spinoff, so if that is true and it’s in this timeline, then that will definitely give the maximals from this movie some time to shine
The four big rumors/ confirmed projects are: A. Confirmed: GI Joe v Transformers B. Rumor: live action show C. Rumor: beast wars movie D. Rumor: R rated Megatron film
I would watch 100 a Beast Wars spin-off movie, it would be better if they do in Avatar style but take out the humans of the theme, this is a franchise about alien transformer robots, why they need people around? -_-
Glad to know that it is a fun movie, sure it aint no Spiderverse or GOTG but as a long time Transformers fan, this is already another huge step in the right direction. Gotta thank Bumblebee for it.
It seemed like the Maximal planet at the beginning of ROTB was made to evoke the ending of Beast Machines. The Maximals in ROTB were also more organic than their BW versions with their hair and Airrazor's wounds looking more like blood.
I really want the robot only movie one day. I hope they make a movie about the wars back story and they don’t try to cram it into one movie but at least two so we can get some real character time. Also really want them to change up the plot to being a location based objective or a milestone objective. Like defending the capitol. Just something different that doesn’t involve an object as the goal. Like I’m cool with them getting cool objects but it shouldn’t be what the plot rest on. I want Megatron to actually have a character so bad. With actual ideology and a relationship with Optimus that isn’t just we must kill each other. Lol
I would love to see your review for Transformers Prime, it’s an animated show but it takes a more darker take on the Transformers formula and focuses more on the Transformers lore than the human characters
show was incredible. And it puts the kibosh to the whole "optimus never shows emotions/takes the shot" REAL quick which is nice. Prime has moments of shock, pain, anger, even rage when he screams after losing the omega keys. And getting to see Orion as a precious cinnamon roll is just awesome. ^_^ not to mention the humans there were the best in ANY iteration. Period.
I’m so happy to hear it’s good omg, thanks for the great review Jeremy! Can always count on you, unlike other review outlets like IGN which gave it its very standard review of 7/10
Fair review. The first half I thought was very solid, with only a few lines that struck me as lacking. But the second half is where it was “fine enough”. I did enjoy the movie, and everything here is still so much better than the Michael bay movies, in my opinion. Yes, I want more from the Maximals but hopefully they show up for future movies as well. Great acting and voice acting. And I certainly appreciate the new art style with this and the bumblebee movie. FANTASTIC SOUNDTRACK.
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, the Bay films kinda were the glory days of Transformers. They ushered in a whole new level of popularity for the franchise. Just stinks that Bay only produced one solid film in that series.
Man my first review I ever saw from you was the the Transformers Dark of the Moon years ago. Awesome to see you reviewing the newest transformers film. I love beast wars so I hope they do a great job with the representation of these characters.
@@lafayettewright8593I also disagree bro I couldn’t find a flaw with it. Amazing soundtrack, visuals, personalities , storyline and unforced comedy! What’s not to love?🤷♂️
Rise of the Beasts is an easy 8 out of 10. The best of all the live action Transformers movies. The 1986 movie still holds top place for an animation movie. They finally figured out that the humans are co-stars within a robot battle movie/show, and not the other way around. Fans who understand Transformers, how this plot was written, and what was revealed at the end of the movie, can now see a future potential for the franchise.
I am going to argue something, I for one do enjoy the human element in transformers movies, for not only does it really set up the position they are in, where they lit destroyed their old world and yet their fight has just moved on to a new one with a species not involved with the previous battle now being forced to participate but it also makes a question on our end of how humanity paths and where it places it values on it, if anything I wish it was played on a bit more with some humans even joining the decepticon ranks or believing in Megatrons ideas, since it makes this new battelfield that shows how their war never really seems to end.
I remember that being a neat twist in Dark of the Moon. Or even with Age of Extinction with the ones hunting any of them down after the events of Chicago in the 3rd. I'd be down to see it more to contrast the ones who do try to help the Autobots.
The series that helped Jeremy get his start on RUclips returns for a new movie that continues on from the successful Bumblebee Oh how things have changed in 14 years and how some things have stayed the same
I felt like the movie gave the transformers actual personality that the Michael Bay movies lacked. Transformers is a massive childhood staple for me so I loved every minute of it. My only complaint was the big reveal they put in the very end of the movie. Kind of dumb to me, but I guess we’ll see where this goes.
I feared due to the amount of transformers in the movie, that the maximals wouldn’t have too much character development which I feel is needed now in these movies. And hearing rhinox hasn’t been written as a buff tech guy makes me say “meh” still can’t wait to see it of course but man the maximals have so much more to bring to the table story wise and character wise
I'm pretty sure most people that are not familiar with Beast Wars, would enjoy the movie. I'm a huge fan of Beast Wars and it was a bit underwhelming how the maximal were used in this movie. If you have seen the trailers, that's pretty much what you get from them. Spoilers ahead: Airazor doesn't even have a robot mode (but I gotta say that her eagle/hawk? design was dope). Rhinox speaks not a single word. Cheetor goes "Hi" and that's it. Dinobot and Rattrap were completely absent (did they die offscreen?), so they lost the opportunity to have Rattrap saying "hi, grandma" to Arcee. I dare to say that If you remove the maximals from the story, it would have worked anyways
I loved beast wars as a child with it's reboot like graphics and always wanted a new series targeting kids who watched it so maybe live action series or movie. So happy to see it in some form and excited see it! I gave my kids my beast wars toys and sheesh remembering how change em all haha :)
This movie was great!! My screening crew were all into it and my mom had an entire section of the crew going with the blurt outs and cheering lol. Lots of action, humor, character development, and the mid-credits scene?.......I'm excited for the future!!
There is an arch in the comics about how one of the Autobots was stuck with a decepticon and they end up talking and realize theyre fighting just because of a symbol on their chest. Very relatable to life.
"Which we never needed in the animations." STRONGLY disagree one of the key elements of Transformers Prime IS the fact that humanity and Cybertronians ain't so different. In fact one of my favorite lines from the franchise is when Ratchet of all people (someone who wasn't too fond of humanity in the beginning and CONSTANTLY belittled it) said "No he was more like...Jack." when it came to discussing what Optimus was like before back when he was Orion Pax. And Jack immediately balks at the idea. I guess I like it cause it shows that we can tend to think of these beings as larger than life (which they are) but they're just people in the end fighting the good fight just like we do on Earth. So for Ratchet to imply that a human being was more or less like what Optimus Prime USED to be, someone who happened to be chosen to do great things it kinda...reminds us that no real such thing as fate or destiny. Orion didn't NEED to go to Primus and get the Matrix but he did. Megatron didn't NEED to betray Prime but he did. No higher being TOLD them "you must do this". They had their own choice to make. Jack didn't need to follow through and restore Optimus but he did. We make our own choices. Write our own stories. And it just so happens that Earth and Cybertron's stories happen to be intertwined and I love that idea.
@Karmon Dhindsa he watched the war for cybertron series so he does watch some of the new stuff. But to mention the animated content, (to mention the human element really) and NOT think about easily the best piece of transformers media is kinda wild. At least to me. Too many people put beast wars on top but like prime is SOLID and had that human element really well done.
@@acemstudio no your right and I agree with you but he’s never mentioned watching prime or has reviewed it he also took a long time to watch an appreciate the clone wars
@Karmon Dhindsa man he should've used the panini to review it lol. It's not like we were going anywhere he'd have gotten the views lol. I legit think he'd dig it. The show puts a kibosh to the whole "optimus doesn't show any emotion/is never willing to take THAT shot" which is great. And I'm all for Prime having an arc of learning to appreciate and work with humanity cause like Jahns said he's often seen as Robot Jesus. It's part of why so many iterations have him meet and work with humans to bring him to our level of relatability.
Bumblebee was meant to be a prequel but ended up doing well that it’s essentially a reboot. So this movie is the sequel to that movie, in the new rebooted universe.
This movie was so much Fun!!! I watched it in IMAX and it was beyond Epic!!! For 80s and 90s kids, there's a lot of nostalgia in this film. And it was great. Even the human Characters aren't beyond Annoying. And with that Easter egg at the end of the film blew my mind with possibilities of where the franchise can go💯💯 this film made me fall back In love with the franchise. It's a lot of Action filled Fun!!!
The only nostalgia I had was the music, Optimus Prime, and Arcee. I was hoping for a lot more with Unicron. Everything was mixed horribly to me. Glad you enjoyed it at least!
@Valek Saint I completely agree. It was bad we only had unicorn for a few minutes and no action. The fight scrmebes are done poorly and I'm sick of the decepticons or any bad guy just being gray or no color.
If I were to rank them: 1. Bumblebee- because in my opinion, bumblebee did a great job of merging the old animated transformers film with modern day Michael Bay. 2. Transformers 2007- Bringing in the new generation of transformers fans, I really loved watching this movie, to this day it stands as the best transformers of the original series by Michael Bay. 3. Transformers: The Last Knight- I know a lot of fans hate this movie but, I really loved it because, it combined end two of my favorite Lore's in History. I love The Legend of King Arthur, and I really love Transformers in its entirety. 4. Transformers: The Dark of The Moon- it was the biggest event in modern Transformers. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole movie. 5. Transformers: Rise of the Beast- Although not the greatest of the films, it brought out a lot of Nostalgia because of the use of the Headmasters , Unicron, and Beast Wars. Without the Beast Wars I probably would have never got into the Transformers. 6. Transformers: Age of Extinction - although enjoyable, I really just like watching it for The Dinobots. Nothing else was really intriguing about it. 7. Transformers: The Revenge of the Fallen- like The Age of Extinction it was a fun movie but, that's really it. I don't have much to say about it except I really like Jetfire in this movie and also the combination of Optimus Prime and Jetfire.
Growing up with Beast Wars as my first transformers show and the lessons and stories it taught my young 5 year old mind who was out in the country with not really any other kids to spend time with way before i started going to school has and always will be a firm cemented contributor to the learning of positive traits and morals, honor and respect along with how and when to react to certain situations with individuals that you general fight with or dislike (i.e the episode silverbolt and rampage fighting over a defective bot named Transmutate that crashed from orbit and cannot transform, only to destroy itself trying to save its two friends from killing each other, ending with Rampage on his knees holding the head of the poor bot, with Optimus then flying in to attempt to detain rampage, ending with silverbolt telling primal that eventually they will get him, but it is not this day for we are both brothers in grief, ending with optimus and silverbolt watching over one of the most dangerous predacons in megatrons ranks down on his knees and inconsolable from the trauma of transmutates sacrifice leaving him alone in respect. and a billion transformers movies from michael bay have been pumped out since then and now im actually hyped to see my transformers finally get a live action inclusion that even if i end up just watching Rhinox, Cheetor, Airrazor and Primal and none of their characteristics were accounted for and its just them wrecking shit.. im still going to be the happiest ive ever been to see a transformers movie.
I still think my favorite transformer movie is dark of the moon. That movie is absolutely bonkers. I just love the idea of the moon conspiracy, but the action scenes in that movie are crazy.
Finally, someone who's actually familiar with beast wars does an honesr review, personally, yes this was fun to watch with my son in the theater, we both watched beast wars together and I kept a smile on my face but inside I was dying lol, not only were the maximals side characters, they didnt even include rat trap or dino megatron. the potential this movie had.
I’m looking forward to seeing this one also. As a fan of the original beast wars series, I always hoped it would get a movie or such but sometimes those things don’t turn out very well as we’ve seen with other things.
Liked the first movie, stepped away after "Revenge of the Fallen" and its introduction of the Amos and Andy Bots... I feared at one point that the movie would never finish. Loved "Bumblebee" so might give this one a watch.
This movie was a blast! From beginning to end it was fast pace, funny and great action. it totally blew my mind. I ended up crying of joy i swear and not ashamed to admit it. 10/10 highly recommended watch it as soon as you can 🤯
@6:02 ... every movie Optimus says "This isn't our fight!" and 30 minutes later "We must fight for existence!" ... Oh boy. I'm wondering if Unicron transforms in this movie.
This was honestly a pretty solid movie, pleasantly surprised tbh. The human characters weren't all that thrilling but they are better than Shia and Marky Mark. Maybe we will get some really good movies going forward.
Speaking of soundtracks, the Spiderverse movies have both had awesome soundtracks. And speaking of a soundtrack album placing you in time in history, try The Great Gatsby.
As far as ranking the live action transformers films I personally would rank them like this: ( from best to worst ) # Transformers # Bumblebee # Transformers Dark Of The Moon # Transformers Rise Of The Beasts # Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen # Transformers Age Of Extinction # Transformers The Last Knight
1. ROTB 2. DOTM 3. 1 4. ROTF 5. AOE 6. TLK (I’ve only seen parts of bumblebee) I thought this was an absolute great time and absolutely clears the other transformers as movie and I love those as guilty pleasures. I loved the action and the characters and thought it was pretty funny.
Transformers 1, Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts are my favourites. 2 was doodoo but that forest scene always gets me hype, 3 was close to being decent and then the rest were absolute doodoo.
The Transformers movie franchise is like the Jurassic Park movie franchise. The first one was so wow and all of us were so impressed with the effects. After many sequels later over the years, it just lost its magical appeal. The first will forever be a classic.
@@peterlenham3180 Really preference and taste when it comes to Transformers. Where JP had the effects of dinosaurs that made it look so real such as seeing the Brachiosaurus for the first time, Transformers have that transforming vehicles. Seeing Blackout transforming in that opening scene of the first movie or seeing Bumblebee or Prime transform for the first time was in fact just as magical and memorable.
I loved the first Transformers. It had its flaws but made up with all the cool stuff. Most of the other Transformers movies were sub-par. I think Rise of the Beasts is probably 3rd best behind Bumblebee.
Just saw it yesterday with my son and we loved it! I don't nitpick movies because I thought it was obvious its FICTION and go with the flow. Favorite scene was when Bumblebee respawned with the soundtrack and jumping off the plane and just shooting up the place 😁
Saw Rise Of The Beasts yesterday at the 9:20pm showing and it was amazing! The ending scene was insane to say the least. Unicron was very threatening in this movie(As he should be), hope we can see more of him in the future. The human characters were likeable just like the human characters in Bumblebee(2018). The audience in the theater was going crazy for the badass scenes and especially the ending to. I'd honestly love to see a Dinobots film in the future.
Absolutely loved it especially the little human centric twist at the end... no spoilers here... it seems like more of a soft reboot so hopefully rethinking all the Bay movies.
Its a full reboot! In TF5, it was revealed that Unicron was the earth the entire time. Now, we can see that is not the case. Also, bumblebee didn't fight the Nazis in the bumblebee movie.
Standalone Beast Wars film would be awesome! They have to go back in time like the show did. Space battles, crashing, finding their beast forms and the race to find escape pods for extra troops. T-Rex Megatron with the "yessssss" catch phrase. I'm sold. Let's do this!
My man, I absolutely love your videos and recommend them to everybody. It would be awesome if you could time stamp your rating at the end, so we can jump to it if we don’t have time to watch the whole video. I promise we’ll come back and watch the whole thing later. (I will at least)
couldn't you put two and two together? The autobots arrive on earth in 2007 in the original movie. In Bumblebee, the autobots arrive in 1987, RoTB is a sequel to Bumblebee, it's never been so clear that this is a new Transformers in a separate timeline/universe lmao.
@@Zoidd_Bergg It’s been confusing for the longest time because the studios were kinda tip toeing around the subject. And with how the Bay films were always retconning each other it was genuinely hard to tell if it was a reboot or just another retcon.
Ranking the Transformers movies seems pretty fun so why not. 1.Bumblebee. Almost cheating but it's definitely the best one. It's just geat all round. 2.Transformers 2007. Very enjoyable start of the series, No why it could get worse right? 3.Dark of the Moon. Fun time wish they cut out most of the build up but the second half of the movie had some epic fights and really enjoyed what they did with Sentinel Prime. 4.Revenge of the Fallen. Oh shit it got worse. Still think the forest fight is amazing though. 5.Age of Extinction. Hated it. I get they wanted to do a bit of a reboot but instead of actually doing good they just replaced the characters with way less likeable ones and they ruined the Dino bots.Hound was cool though. 6.The Last Knight. Dogshit is just a word but this one is so bad I am still upset I even watched it. Probably one of the worst movies I have ever watched. There's my list atleast decided to stick with the live action one's. Looking forward to watching Rise of the Beasts soon hopefully it will be one of the good one's.
A story arc where Optimus goes from being distrusting of humans to working along side them to save the world? Never saw that befo.. wait yes we have. A lot.
Great movie as a transformers movie. Typical humans get sucked into a dangerous mission and join with autobots to try and save the planet against deceptions. As for character development, emotions to their involvement and the culture this movie brought out being set in the 90s it was great. Action sequences were also very fun and entertaining, movie was as good or can be in the same category as Bumblebee and Transformers 1
The finale clash reminded me soooo much of the Endgame fight between the avengers and thanos’ army, lol That said, I enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would. I’d call it one of the better ones alongside Bumblebee and the first movie. Mirage and Noah’s friendship is a highlight though.
You are the first one to inform me that Michael Bay is not directing this film and I am heartbroken. How can I watch a Transformers live-action film without weirdly present racial stereotypes and egregious fan service? :(
😂😂 “egregious fanservice” if you knew what that meant you’d notice the movies were heavily tame. And there’s no “racial stereotypes” are u calling gangsters racist?
@@PoIarisPrime Bear in mind Americans have become a bunch of puritans again over the past 10 years. It's why everything they put out sucks now. It's like when they were crying about games being too violent back in the 90s and 2000s.
This was a very entertaining movie, I’ll let you guys know up front that I know absolutely nothing about the Transformers franchise, I’ve seen all the live action movies but anything beyond that having to do with the characters/lore I have zero knowledge of, and thus far I’ve disliked all of the Michael Bay movies but found Bumblebee very enjoyable, and so I didn’t really know what to expect out of this one, and it was very fun, first off it’s great to see Optimus Prime again, he’s once again a very cool character and this time he’s a little different than he’s been in the other movies because he has this dislike for humans which I thought was an interesting take on his character, the action is really good, much like with Bumblebee it’s a very big upgrade from the terrible action of the Michael Bay movies, and the Maximals were badass, in particular Optimus Primal, whenever they were onscreen it was awesome, where the movie kinda falters is for one the human characters, I enjoyed Hailee Steinfeld’s character in Bumblebee but here the characters are pretty bland, granted the main guy I thought *had potential* to be an interesting character with the backstory he was given, he has a sick little brother that he’s trying to provide for but unfortunately they just didn’t do enough with that story thread, and the main female character felt like she was literally just there to spout exposition, that’s like all she does throughout the entire movie, also the movie carries over a problem that I also had with Bumblebee, which is that I feel like ever since they moved away from the Michael Bay movies the effects have gotten worse, in Bumblebee the Transformers looked surprisingly fake compared to how they did before, in this movie the effects are *a little* better but still don’t look that real if you ask me, also another thing they changed that I don’t like is the size of them, in this movie and Bumblebee the Transformers look a lot smaller than I feel like they should be, in these movies they look like they’re only about 15 feet tall which to me doesn’t feel right, I much prefer the giant, titan sized Transformers that the Michael Bay movies had, to me that felt a lot more appropriate, and lastly there’s a ending scene that I’m kinda split on, depending on if they’re serious about it or not gives me 2 different responses, if they’re actually being serious about it then I think it’s a monumental mistake, all I can say at that point is “Dear god, what the hell are you guys thinking?” But on the other hand if it’s a just a joke and it’s not actually tying into anything then I’ll be like “Hehe, alright that’s pretty funny” All in all I had fun with this movie, as of now I would say it’s my second favorite Transformers movie, I didn’t like it as much as Bumblebee but I liked it better than all the Michael Bay movies, the action is a lot of fun, it moves at a smooth brisk pace and while nothing great was a very enjoyable time. 7/10

I like what Steven Caple Jr. did with Creed II, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he is capable of with a Transformers film.
The series that helped Jeremy get his start on RUclips returns for a new movie that continues on from the successful Bumblebee
Oh how things have changed in 14 years and how some things have stayed the same
I felt like the movie gave the transformers actual personality that the Michael Bay movies lacked. Transformers is a massive childhood staple for me so I loved every minute of it. My only complaint was the big reveal they put in the very end of the movie. Kind of dumb to me, but I guess we’ll see where this goes.
The gi joe reference had me eye rolling bc it would’ve worked so much better if it was sector 7 it just would’ve connected the movies better.
As a 90s kid and love transformers I enjoyed this one I was having a great time with my friends watching this ❤
There is an arch in the comics about how one of the Autobots was stuck with a decepticon and they end up talking and realize theyre fighting just because of a symbol on their chest. Very relatable to life.
"Which we never needed in the animations."
STRONGLY disagree one of the key elements of Transformers Prime IS the fact that humanity and Cybertronians ain't so different.
I don’t think Jeremy has really seen or reviewed a recent animated show besides the war for cybertron trilogy I think he stopped beast wars otherwise
I believe he's talking about the 84 show and beast wars shows when he said that.

This movie was a blast! From beginning to end it was fast pace, funny and great action. it totally blew my mind. I ended up crying of joy i swear and not ashamed to admit it. 10/10 highly recommended watch it as soon as you can 🤯
We had the same reaction then. Loved it. About as good as a TF movie can get as long as humans are a part of the story.
Dont trust this paid comment, it was terrible plot armor and bad acting
@@thomashtruong I agree with him though. I cried tears of joy aswell
@@thomashtruong bruh i wish. Its my personal opinion. if you didn’t like it’s because you probably have 3 brain cells.
@6:02 ... every movie Optimus says "This isn't our fight!" and 30 minutes later "We must fight for existence!" ... Oh boy. I'm wondering if Unicron transforms in this movie.
Glad to hear a good review, very excited for this film.
As far as ranking the live action transformers films I personally would rank them like this:
( from best to worst )
# Transformers
# Bumblebee
# Transformers Dark Of The Moon
# Transformers Rise Of The Beasts
# Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen
# Transformers Age Of Extinction
# Transformers The Last Knight
1. ROTB
2. DOTM
3. 1
4. ROTF
5. AOE
6. TLK
(I’ve only seen parts of bumblebee) I thought this was an absolute great time and absolutely clears the other transformers as movie and I love those as guilty pleasures.
None of the Transformer films are classics. The original Jurassic Park is however.
@@imranbecks Special effects do not make a classic, memorable human characters and story do. Jurassic Park had that, Transformers lacks that.
@@peterlenham3180 Like I said. It's preference and taste. Purely subjective. Might not be a classic to some, but it may be a classic to others.
I loved the first Transformers. It had its flaws but made up with all the cool stuff. Most of the other Transformers movies were sub-par. I think Rise of the Beasts is probably 3rd best behind Bumblebee.
This movie was a straight banger really good 8/10🔥
Just saw it yesterday with my son and we loved it! I don't nitpick movies because I thought it was obvious its FICTION and go with the flow. Favorite scene was when Bumblebee respawned with the soundtrack and jumping off the plane and just shooting up the place 😁
1. Bumblebee
2. Rise of the Beasts
3. Transformers
4. Dark of the Moon
5. Age of Extinction
6. The Last Knight
7. Revenge of the Fallen
Here’s hoping for an Armada movie in the future, that was my shit growing up
Saw Rise Of The Beasts yesterday at the 9:20pm showing and it was amazing!
Idk if this is a retcon to the last knight, cause it feels like bumblebee and this movie are it’s own timeline/universe
It is
Isn't that obvious
couldn't you put two and two together? The autobots arrive on earth in 2007 in the original movie. In Bumblebee, the autobots arrive in 1987, RoTB is a sequel to Bumblebee, it's never been so clear that this is a new Transformers in a separate timeline/universe lmao.
It's two seperate timelines from Bay's universe and this new one with Bumblebee and this
@@Zoidd_Bergg It’s been confusing for the longest time because the studios were kinda tip toeing around the subject.
Yeah, I'd rank them the same.
I recommend checking out the 'Caravan of Garbage' video/s that they did on all of the Bay movies. Very, very funny.
That's definitely my Ranking.
Rise of the Beasts might end up being Number 1 or 2.
@@RM2011ish his ranking is legit I swap Dark of the Moon with Revenge tho. That’s the worse out of the o.g 3
@@hightolerance8728 I couldn't stand Revenge. 🤣
Glad to see dark of the moon get some love
A story arc where Optimus goes from being distrusting of humans to working along side them to save the world? Never saw that befo.. wait yes we have. A lot.
The movie was good no complains for me great human characters
Great feeling all around
And the comedy was well timed
Anthony Ramos and Pete Davidson had surprisingly great chemistry, I don’t know how I didn’t see that coming
The finale clash reminded me soooo much of the Endgame fight between the avengers and thanos’ army, lol
That said, I enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would. I’d call it one of the better ones alongside Bumblebee and the first movie. Mirage and Noah’s friendship is a highlight though.
Fun fact : Avengers copied all CGI and stunts from Transformers dotm 😂
I hate how the movie "transformers" revolves around human main characters
This was the best Transformer Movie Ever Made
I went into the movie with low expectations but ended up enjoying it more than I would.
Don't forget the constant fluffing of the U.S. military; how shall we ever cope without it?
@@PoIarisPrime their were some racial stereotypes in the second one
@@PoIarisPrimethere’s a lot of racial stereotypes and “jokes” present in the movies lol
