I appreciate your Optimism. No matter how rainy and gloomy the weather is you both stay so positive. Being so fortunate to travel somewhere new, the weather is not always something you can plan around. Thank you for being cheery through your video and focusing on the blessings.
The quality of your video and editing is so much better than when you first started out! Gosh you were so lucky to have got your purse back!! Awesome thanks for sharing Paris
Greetings from Sheffield UK. I have loved watching your journey so far and look forward to each instalment every week. You are such a lovely couple. Wishing you both the best for the rest of your adventure.
It gives me great pleasure to see the Opéra Garnier again, in my childhood it was the only opera in Paris and with my aunt I came to listen to the works of Mozart, Bethoveen, Schubert, the concerts of DeBussy, Saint Saëns and so many others. I only stayed quietly on the balcony or in the private boxes from where I could see the people downstairs. As for the Louvres, I spent hours or even days there without ever seeing everything because it is so vast. Paris is definitely the capital of culture. (Well, being French and Parisian I may have a tendency to exaggerate... Whatever?)😏
You're lucky to have seen and heard so many great things there. It was beautiful inside, but to actually see a show or something would have been incredible. Definitely not an exaggeration to say Paris is a culture hub. We can't imagine how many trips it would take to see even 1/10th of what the city has to offer. Merci d'avoir regardé !
Great videos! I've been enjoying watching your travels, can't wait to see part 2 of Paris. I'll be curious on thoughts of top of Eiffel - top of Arc de Triomphe I think is way better. So happy to see that you went to the Garnier Opera House - not usually on people's first visit (as it should be), but oh so beautiful!! I was going to ask "why in winter?", but you just answered in video . . . . very curious if your travels are done for a while or you are able to go on to some more - I hope! Thanks for sharing
Sadly we never went to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, so we can't speak to which we prefer, but we were definitely blown away by the views atop the Eiffel Tower. One of our favorite memories from the entire trip. At the moment, we're back in the U.S. after the big 91-day trip, settling into a new life in a different state, but we absolutely have plans for more trips in the near future. The mindset before this Europe adventure was "this might be our only chance to do something like this, and who knows if we'll enjoy traveling by the end of it." Having now completed the trip, we can safely say it sparked a desire to get back out there when we can afford to. New continents, new cultures; there's so much to explore! Thank you so much for watching, by the way! We're happy to have you along 😊
Oh goodness. You were staying right next to our favourite place in Paris. The astounding, and a little bit secret, Funfair arts museum. It's so glorious. We did a vid there last year and the tour guide was amazing, as was everything we saw. We love eating at Bouillon. Both restaurants.
Caught up with the rest of the video now. Never done the Louvre but have done the Musee d'Orsay and seen the Van Gogh crush. Walking about Paris eating and drinking it in, and drinking, is the best. Looks like you had a great time. Can't wait to see the next one.
Is that the "death trap" Lauryn mentioned? If so, maybe I'll convince her to give it a try next time... 😈 She'd never actually go for it, but it would be soooooo entertaining to witness. (I say that like I myself wouldn't be terrified as well. We don't have your bravery when it comes to coasters & rides 😅)
If you ever go back to Paris and want to see all the city's monuments and its marvelous urban grid from high up, I would recommend to get a ticket to the Montparnasse Tower observation deck. It costs around €15-20, is breathtaking, and you get to enjoy a view of the Eiffel Tower and how it dominates Central Paris.
FYI, the flame on the Pont de l'Alma is not a memorial. It's a life-size reproduction of the torch held by the Statue of Liberty It existed long before the accident.
I was beginning to wonder if you were fed-up of doing this, or had something happen to get in the way, with the time past since the last one, but glad to see this appear. I would have been disappointed had that been the case. I can see you probably needed longer to edit this and still it was long (longest thus far, I think - stand to be corrected). Clearly you were really keen to see Paris and the video you made reflects that. Again, your ability to describe your experiences in such an accessible way maintains the interest for me, and I look forward to seeing the rest of your trip.👍
Nah, definitely not fed-up. Just a combination of moving/getting settled in to a new life back in the States, and the video being longer (as you pointed out). We're definitely seeing this series through to the end, though; we wouldn't leave everyone hanging a third of the way through -- especially with some of the surprises we have on the horizon. 😊 Glad to hear you're still enjoying the videos!
Oh wow, I KNEW I should have left that in the video! 😃 I legitimately spent about 3 minutes rambling about the scene with the mirrors, and how I couldn't believe we just stumbled onto such an iconic spot without realizing it. I figured most people probably wouldn't care, so I ultimately cut it for pacing reasons, but just know you're not alone there. I immediately knew that spot was special. - Brian
It's called Moonshiner. We aren't 100% sure where it's at, since we basically let Google Maps direct us that night, but if you Google "Moonshiner Paris," their website should be the top result.
Hope you get up the Eiffel Tower next, amazing views over the city. Tempted to have dinner there? Meal for three people was 800 euros, including wine of course! M
No dinner for us, but we absolutely made the journey to the top. You're right: the views up there were breathtaking. One of the top highlights of the entire trip for us.
I don't understand why tourists queue to enter through the Louvre's pyramid when there is several others entrances completely free of people. If you go there I would advise you to enter directly in the museum with the subway and once you've finished your tour in the museum you can then exit by the pyramide if you want.
Ah, ok. C'est quelque chose qu'on a découvert par hasard, pas quelque chose qu'on a recherché à l'avance. Merci pour la correction. (Et désolé pour les fautes de grammaire. J'ai pas étudié le français depuis peut-être 5 ans.) - Brian

I could be binge-watching Bridgerton but instead, I'm binge-watching your videos. Much more interesting!
What a beautiful city! ❤❤
I always find something new when I go to Paris.
We're jealous you can say that, since it means getting to go back to Paris. How frequently do you visit?

Oh and the Booster, the ride at Tuilleries, is safe just very over priced.

Maybe one day we'll do a LOTR style "Extended Edition" and the Inception bridge can finally be explained in all its glory.
Very cute video. I'd like to know where the pizza place speakeasy is. We're going to be in Paris next month and we like going to secret bars.

Do you know that you can skip the waiting file of Le Louvre ? There's another entrance, at the little Triumph arch foot across the Street...
Beautiful shots and great tips! I'm definitely putting an airtag in my purse. What month was this?
Yeah, it definitely wouldn't hurt to have some means of tracking your valuables -- just in case. (This was the first week of December.)

I don't get it why don't you spend more time in the UK in
After watching the documentary "Taken" with Liam Neeson I'd never travel to Paris. Far too dangerous. I'd stay put in Texas.
Easy solution: take Liam Neeson with you and everything will be fine.
I think you should come back to England and spend more time here England is the greatest country in Europe
You spent more time in France why not England England about country in France
