    Great Video! I wonder what Vlog camera was used for the outdoor scenes in this video.

      Thanks! I usually use iPhone 13 outside since I don’t have time for more advanced b-roll😞

    Beautiful! It’s like half kodak and half fuji with agfa own signature

      I’ve seen somewhere on the internet recently.
      I already ordered Gold 200 and would like to check it out on portraits and compare it with something similar.

    Thank you for the video! I was looking for some real-life examples of this new film to see if it's any different from the film stocks that are already on the market. I must say I couldn't notice any of the promised "delicately vibrant minty greens, peachy reds, airy grain" on the photos 😄 Maybe I had my hopes too high and was expecting something more different from the existing Kodak or Fuji stocks... And the Adox Color Mission looks like just another, great-looking, saturated film out there. Which is great but a bit disappointing. Keep up the good work!

    • @snakeytales
      @snakeytales  2 года назад +1

      Thanks man! But reds are indeed “peachy”:) And maybe it all depends on what kind of subjects you shoot as well as overall light “quality”. I assume that this film will start breathing in less foggy environments😂

      @@snakeytales The ADOX COLOR MISSION 200 webpage says this was a one batch run only because the co-producer went bankrupt. It says they are currently in R&D for another color film.

    I really like the colour, vibrant but realistic. To me they look a bit like Fuji 100.

  • @IFrAnIKOz

    Great review thank you! Seems like it has saturated colors but not in the yellowish way most Kodak stocks are saturated but more muted. But everything that is solid red just pops on this stock

    • @snakeytales

      Thanks! Agree with you, + blue. And for me it’s like a breath of the fresh air so I’m very looking forward into their further developments.

      @@snakeytales yes exactly it is the same with the blue skies. They just seem way more blue than they would appear on something like Portra and Gold or even Ektar. I am so glad you posted this since I am trying to figure out what to use my roles for. Probably will be saving them for a trip to south america after seing your results

    Bit contrasty for me. Might be interesting be exposed

    • @snakeytales
      @snakeytales  2 года назад

      It’s definitely not a universal everyday type of film stock. But I find it very cool for a sort of colourful vacation type of scenes.

  • @Nobody-Nowhere
    @Nobody-Nowhere 2 года назад

    Those backlight shots are just poorly exposed. You probably just used auto exposure and did not compensate for backlight.

    • @snakeytales
      @snakeytales  2 года назад +1

      Should not be the case. I spot metered for shadows/dark areas in some cases. For ex. like on the second photo with full body shot or the first one from the second comparison.

    Sadly, he didn't shoot a MacBeth Color checker at rated ISO then +/- 1/3 and 2/3 stops for an OBJECTIVE check which could be read with a densitometer for film speed and actual color balance. As usual, this isn't a film test at all, it's 7 minutes of my life I'll never get back again and I know NOTHING more about the ADOX 200 color negative film now than I did.! Thanks for NOTHING U-Toob! I'll try B&H and see when it's available and run my own tests...I think it will be similar to the discontinued Agfacolor 200 emulsion, which is not bad.

    FFS another stupidly over-priced colour film which is already sold out everywhere. No doubt to the well healed hipsters running around taking snaps.

      Hard to say taking into consideration issues with supply chains all over the world. + company is relatively small and they even reuse old canisters from different stocks.
