Revelations 1 is critically underrated. It feels like the old classic style and controls like a new game. Also, the RE2 remake was not perfect. The alligator boss fight was cut because they didn't want to take the time to program it and they removed a few enemy types. A bunch of the story was also changed including when they would meet up various points in the station, including who would take what weapon. Mr. X also isn't supposed to make an appearance until B mode, they basically ruined B mode and now both practically feel the same. The only thing B mode does now is pretty much unlock the full ending.
I was born in the late 2000s so I never got to play and experience those old great games so sometimes I wish I was born earlier to experience them and have a fun/scary childhood , I played resident evil 2 remake it was so good to the point where it drove me into the resident evil series.

Dude..I was born in 92..and resident evil 4..when that came out..unplayed it on Halloween night all in my room on my GameCube that I got at Gamecrazy (not GameStop)for 40.bucks at a killer crazy deal . I was in 7th or 8th grade. And That was the greatest Halloween of my life next to 1999 Halloween in Santa Rosa when everything was fun and spooky still and you could have fun with family and cousins. But yeah. You did miss that. I'm sorry bud. It was amazing . Best memories
Putting Village with RE 3 remake is crime, all the re fanboys just hate village but it is one of the best open world experience and it should not be any thing less than S tier😡
RE4 Remake in VR has to be one of my favorite experiences in gaming over the last 40 years. There's definitely some frustrations (using a scope on any rifle) but it's a solid 9/10 for me. If they had Separate Ways and Mercenaries in VR it would easily be a 10. I used to religiously speedrun RE2 before speedrunning was a thing. With that said Remake is better in nearly every way. My only complaint is that I wish the A/B scenarios would've been more developed. It's a great time to be a RE fan that's for sure.

I always say that RE 4 OG was my first love of the franchise. Although we broke up after RE 5 and 6. BUT, RE7 is when we got back together and the love was reinvigorated. 😂😅🤣 I couldn’t disagree more about RE3 OG and remake though. The remake was average and cut out a lot of parts and nemesis was too scripted. The OG was terrifying and nemesis was a better stalker enemy in a ps1 game..

So the thing with 6 to me. Is it a fun action game? Yes. It's a fun shooter action game. Is it a fun RE game? No. It has nothing to do with RE feel wise or even lore wise almost. But I think that's why some love it. It's shlocky, action fun you don't have to think about. But that doesn't appeal to most actual RE fans. I relate it to a Michael Bay movie almost. Should RE be a Michael Bay film? No. Should be closer to a Fincher or suspense director imo. If not a full blown horror director, but a good one

I hate Resident Evil 6 it's all over the place and too many characters and storylines. Resident Evil 5 is definitely fun when you have someone else to play it with! Resident Evil Biohazard is my favorite as well. I love the whole baker family and Ethan's introduction. the soundtrack is so good too!

Funny. Remake 2 and 4 are way too high up while 5 and 6 are way too low. 5 and 6 are amazing re games while the remakes arent. The story in there are lackluster and the characters feels like a cardboard box lol
I’m a hardcore RE fan and the remakes are excellent, the originals and the remakes are both fantastic. Although I’ll give it to you that 3 original is better than the remake. 1 remake is better than 1 original. But 2 and 4 remake are equal to me.
to say RE4 had limited ammo & health while it’s coded the exact opposite and saying it had item management while you had an attaché case where you can fit an apartment in it without key items taking up space shows that you have absolutely no clue about that genre or the franchise in general. it had a few puzzles and almost 0 horror but tension (which isn’t the same)
It did. The reason why you say that is because you rely heavily on the merchant. Re4 was built around not using the merchant and using its fundamentals which the remake severely lacks. That game heavily relies on merchant otherwise that game is near unplayable
I’m one of the RE4 haters and here’s why. I find the game extremely boring. It’s basically a wave shooter. It’s extremely linear, there’s barely any puzzles and the maze-like labyrinth design of the original games is gone. Solving puzzles, finding keys, exploring large buildings and areas, conserving ammo, etc…that’s what RE is all about. RE4 has basically none of that. It waters down every aspect of RE and focuses solely on the combat which is very repetitive. There’s only so much “walk into a room and kill a million enemies” I can take. It’s a terrible RE game. If you like wave shooters then yeah it’s a great one. But I hate playing through it because it’s so long and it’s the same thing the entire time. Also, the worst aspects of Village are the things it takes from RE4. The franchise needs to stay as far away from 4-6 as possible. Again, just my opinion, hope I explained myself properly.
I prefer the remake of RE4 as it feels a little more "survival horror" surprisingly. More backtracking, more conserving items on pro difficulty, scenarios and rooms where you have to run past enemies, etc... that being said, it's still not a good RE game at all, but I'd say it was better than OG in that respect.

RE2 is absolutely the best. I remember beating the original RE2 when I was 11. It was the first full-length difficult game I completed.

Code Veronica tops my list all time in RE. Closely followed by RE2 and Remake. Can’t wait till Code Veronica gets a remake.
