    Video was perfect! Fixed my issue, had the same crack!
    I didn’t end up even needing the additional tool linked, but I had it just in case.
    Took about 30 minutes to do! Super impressed with myself lol. So thanks for the walkthrough!

    I just did this in Canada, $80 all in for the arm alone from Ford plus another $35 if you want a new wiper blade as well. When did a dinky little plastic wiper arm assembly become worth $115 to Ford?

      I know. It's crazy.

    I simply cut and broke the plastic off of the drive stud and then put vise gripes on the brass collar as a counter force against the nut, as i removed it the collar began to turn on the shaft but i apply more force on the nut and it came loose otherwise i think it would be too much force on the assembly. Anyway it was all free to remove so to properly orient the new arm,i wetted the glass and very mildly tighted the nut enough to wipe the window ,then forceably moved the arm accordingly.. The tapered drive stud has teeth to grip but the wiper arm does not, unlke other systems with matching teeth to guide you. Thus, no need to buy a puller that doesnt work,you only use once and probably couldnt find again anyway

    Was having same issue. Inspected it, had same crack. Autozone has a few push pullers to lease, get the deposit back when returned, so ideal for once project like this. Same thing happened where the plastic arm came off. Used my dremel to cut the metal bit in a few places, then broke it off with pliers. New part is on.

    After you got everything off you did t show if you just slide the other one on or what? You just put it on and screw it in once everything is removed?

      The new blade wasn’t notched when you tighten it down. It’s a self tapping soft brass. You just line it up and crank it down. Gotta make sure it’s in correct down position when you crank the replacement down.

    Why did u have to replace it. Mine does that if I turned it on when it’s stuck to the window it will do this exact same thing. I just gently rotate it back and wala

      The plastic was cracked and it needed fixed. I didn't want it scratching the tailgate anymore, and well...I just like fixing things :)

    What is the tool you used to pull off brass ring called

    • @Hipiam
      @Hipiam  Год назад +1

      ABIGAIL Battery Terminal and Wiper Arm Puller Remove Tool. There is a link in the description above. They are also called 3-Jaw Gear Puller. Harbor Freight or any tool store will have them too.
