Mark is a marketing and social genius. He opens the place for 8 hours in the evening every day with only 2 employees preparing the pizza. You also need to make an appointment before the place opens. It creates a limited supply for large demand. In other good NY pizzerias people wait two hours while in lucali wait 4. in other places the demand is not higher but Mark creates a crazy traffic jam at the entrance to his business. Would like to provide more pizzas would bring in more employees the demand he creates by aggressive and smart marketing. He knows how to market himself and how to influence men and especially women. With its charm a lot of journalists and celebrities write good reviews about it and thus creates hype around its pizza. His good pizza is no doubt but it is not wow. I have eaten better pizzas. The calzone is even better than the pizza but not worth the wait. This increases the hype and the demand for the place because if you wait a long time to enter it is probably a pizza worth it. I learned a lot from this guy.
