What a wonderful, humble, spirited guest Olivier is! I smiled listening to his stories of inspiration, testing prototypes with his wife as she strolled through markets, and tailoring his combinations with insights received from trusted sources (eg. the blending of mate in tea fragrances, or use of birch for smoke in tobacco). I finally splurged (after buying 2 discover sets) and purchased a full bottle of Smoke! This fragrance reminds me of my dear father (he passed away over 20 years ago). It smells like fresh tobacco, rolling paper, and the first puff of smoke. I have a hard time explaining what it smells like when I wear it or how it makes me feel....comfort, love, strengthen. I do not smoke, but this smells divine on my skin!
Ah, how fascinating that it has a deeply emotional effect on you too.

It's very very early in Bangkok right now so I'll watch the whole interview a bit later. I don't own any of Mr. Creap's creations at the moment but I admire him nonetheless. A true legend of my generation. Waiting for Akro's samples to arrive.

This man created my favourite perfumes : L'eau par Kenzo, Black Opium, Lacoste pour Femme, Valentina, YSL Mon Paris , Eros pour Femme ,Midnight Poison, Ange ou Demon ,Angel, Light Blue, Noa , Jesus del Pozo Duende, Boucheron Place Vendome , 90%of the Nina's beautiful perfumes.... I know the list is longer but I didn't try all his creations, I'm sure I'll discover many more wonderful scents.

What a wonderful interview! Yesterday I used Moschino Uomo?. Such a beautiful Italian style summer fragrance from the nineties. It's happy, fresh, sweet, woody, without citrus but with a beautiful kumquat coriander Brazilian rosewood accord. Long lasting and soo nice. Monsieur Cresp is a master perfumer indeed!

brilliant discussion thanks! love his work on the Akro line and own a bottle of Awake (by far my fave coffee-centric scent) & Haze which is extremely original. look forward to the 7th release and would love to hear even more detail about the scents...seems like Mr Cresp is happy to talk at length about the compositions :)

Great master perfumer! I love dune pour homme, Versace men eau fraiche, the new Gentleman by givenchy....among others! But with all respect I can't stand angel is too overwhelming & gives me headaches too! But his body of work is huge👍🏆 great interview mate! Cheerio🥂
