Thank you very much for bringing to attention the obvious criteria (that we most often seem to miss) of how the perfume actually wears! it is so qualitative and difficult to talk about, but so crucial!
Can't wait to get my hands on Diptyque Eau Nabati. I LOVE Dune. Especially the Parfum concentration. This one sounds like it's for me! At first, it was a Middle East exclusive, but now it seems to have made its way to the rest of the world.
Welcome back and happy that you are well again . I bought Bake as soon as it was available and I really love it . I am a sucker for lemon patisserie scents and have a couple already .
R.e. lemon gourmands, they always sound so beguiling, but my nose simply cannot seem to divorce the note of lemon (juice, rind, anything) from an association with cleaning products. It's such a shame, and I feel I'm missing out!
I’m especially curious to smell the Diptyque perfume. I hated Dune and Obsession, but decades have passed since I’ve smelled them, and your description fits my summer vacation plans.
What an awesome video. I actually watched you on my TV but had to revert to my phone to comment. The newest Diptyque’s bottle is the same as their bottle for Eau Rihla but right now I am in a no buy situation. However, I always enjoy your videos. Thank you!
Just started watching as you were finishing unfortunately. So glad to hear that you like Bake. Alice du Parcq has recently discussed this with Jo Fairley and it sounded fantastic.
I managed to pick up the Aqua di Parma scent from Liberty’s London (online store) for just £29 due to a pricing error! Very fortunate as it’s a gorgeous scent. A rich, pulpy orange with admirable staying power.
I have thought in the past that it was the Cassis in Dune that created that sandy scent, but I wonder if it is a yellow flower, because I have not seen cassis ever mentioned with the new Eau Nabati. Maybe it is from the type of amber? 🤷♂️ I have worn Dune since it came out and I have three bottles stored 😊, but Eau Nabati sounds interesting. I am also looking forward to trying the Spugnaturas from AdP.
New to the channel and enjoying the takes enormously. Intrigued by the perfume books all around the set here, too--is there a video in the archives about recommended perfume literature? Or shall we await one in the future...
Hi Persolaise, Your recent videos aren't so easy to find. When I click on your channel I see videos from three years ago first. This can make a non-subscriber think you don't upload anymore.
You’re absolutely right, but I don’t know what to do. RUclips places ‘uploaded’ videos in a more prominent position, whereas almost all of mine are live broadcasts.
I’ve been intrigued by Bake, and I’m so glad you reviewed it. Added a sample to my next perfume order. Thank you! I also love the blue shirt 👕 Question for you: what fragrance reviewers do you enjoy? Can you share their info?
The influence of nuns on perfumery might have been considerable (thinking of Violetta di Parma for example) prima donnas should not be forgotten either. Their certainly exquisit taste in, and extensive use of, perfume, besides their role as muses to perfumers, must have left a mark. ;)
Curiously, today I first sniffed my Ruthless Countess Dorothea sample and I got a heavy hint of a lemon dessert inside of it. I don't know if I am under the influence of your description of Bake, but I can't help smelling the lemon buttery sweet in the middle of a sniff (when I smell something, the scent changes during the durarion of the inhale _ like it goes through the nose hitting different parts as it goes. I dont know how to properly call this)
Very glad you are well! Loved the nun story (Madame P's friends). 🥰😍❤
Thanks very much for watching.
Nice to see your channel again!
Thank you.
Can't watch you live, but super happy see you again Sir👌👏
Thanks, Fahmi.
Episode 365! What an accomplishment. A video for every day of a year👏
Thank you 😊
Great that you're back! :) Love your eau nabati comments! I'm intrigued!
Thanks very much.
Marvellous to have the channel back, sorry to hear that you’ve been under the weather.
Cannot wait to try that new Diptyque!
Thank you very much 🙏

Thanks for writing and for watching.
I don't usually watch product reviews, but I'm really enjoying yours. Congrats on this milestone!
Thanks very much indeed.

Yes, it's worth trying... although Dune remains superior.
That arid salty breeze in OG Dune was really something special😔

Is one of them Guerlain’s Bergamot Calabria? That is v lemon meringue on me!
@@jcgillies no but maybe another to seek out x
Thank you so much, Angela.

Thank you, Phyllis. The thought of me on a TV screen is a bit scary.
An ADP salesperson here in New York told me that Chinotto has been discontinued. Hopefully he was misinformed, but I thought you should know
Oh dear! That's sad.
Loved the vid! Was hoping that Bake would be a hit. Can't wait to try it. 🍋 Actually like the sound of the AdP too! Ps, "bluh" certainly is a term. 😉
Bake is wonderful. The AdP less so, sadly.
Oh I missed it! Darn! What a Brilliant shirt! ❤👏👏🙌🙌🙌
Thank you, Rachel.
Just started watching as you were finishing unfortunately. So glad to hear that you like Bake. Alice du Parcq has recently discussed this with Jo Fairley and it sounded fantastic.
Yes, it’s won lots of fans.
i love your shirts 😉
Thank you.
True story, I got 100ml of that new acqua di parma from liberty London for £29 because they priced it wrong on their website lol
That's crazy :-D
Today we celebrated teachers iday in my country Mexico. Congratulations to my favorite teacher of one of my favorite subjects in this world 💛
Oh wow, that’s so kind. Thank you 🙏

Oh wow, £29? That’s amazing!
Watching the Akro bake review just before bedtime wasn't a good idea ;D Such a stunning brand and collection.
Ha! I know… it makes me want to hit the kitchen.
@@Persolaise that is my biggest fear with wearing good + realistic gourmand. It makes me feel hungry and overcook 🙈😂
Mmmmm looking forward to try Bake!I have a discovery set few months back, minus Ink.Very nice house, indeed!
I’m so glad you agree.
Ha that was so much fun. Loved watching the episode live and reading the messages in the chat
Thank you, Luciana.
Bake its very similar to Dulcis in fundo, especially in dry down. Nice!
Thanks very much.

I’d say Nabati is well worth seeking out.

I haven’t done a video on books, but you’ll find a recommended reading list on Persolaise.com
Thank you so much for watching.

It’s Still BumbleBee, you will find them under the Live tab. Recently, RUclips separated the ‘video’ uploads from the lives.
I think I've managed to sort it! Thanks for the nudge.

Thanks, Tamara. I’ll have to give that one some thought, but I always keep tabs on the Black Narcissus perfume blog.
The Alexandre J. boxes remind me of the old luxe cushioned boxes that VC&A used to use.
Yes, you’re absolutely right.
You've got to try the new Heeley cologne, it's fantastic!
Thanks - I’ll try to find it.

You also have great taste in clothes. 👍
Very kind -- thank you.

Ah, fascinating description. Thanks for watching.
@@Persolaise thank you so very much!!!!!!! 🥰
Does Bake smell like Xerjoff Lira? I find Lira too sweet
I’m afraid I don’t know that one.
I'm throughly convinced I need bake 😅
Well, at the very least, everyone needs to try it.
All first 3, I think, is in my type.
Wonderful.
❤🙂👍
Thanks for watching.
