My Boost membership is for the fuel points. I get double points for shopping on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, which sometimes is a pain, but being semi-retired, it works for me. I never do pick up or delivery orders, I shop in store every week. I like having the more points to use at the gas station.
I think they are pushing people not to shop in the store. Sorry, not buying into their wishes. I want to go into the store and see what I'm buying. I can also take advantage of the clearance markdowns this way.
It profits them for pickup because it’s not free if not not over 35$. The coupons say for boost members so there shouldn’t be any confusion. If some people choose to pay for a service like boost why shouldn’t they get a perk here and there with a coupon. It’s like paying for a Costco membership. You cannot go into Costco without a card or someone with a card. It’s a service your paying for and you get a few perks.
Thank you so much for putting this video out!!! I literally went to Kroger this morning after putting all my items in my cart so I knew my cost at the register. I rang it all through and it was $20 more. And this is the third time this has happened. I was so embarrassed because I cancelled my purchase. No thank you!
I have done delivery before and it was fine. I don't have Boost because I don't do it often. But, to save a few dollars here and there to join is not worth it. I did have a pick up order this week because of a good coupon I had, but it didn't cost me no more than the small tip I gave the young lady that brought my stuff to the car and, it was still less than paying delivery AND tiping. I did tell my daughter in FL to get Kroger delivery because they don't have markups, and they take digital and paper coupons and they don't have Kroger in FL. TFS
We only have delivery here in Florida so it is a nice opportunity for us to have the Kroger experience and prices are alot cheaper than other grocery stores in my area. Thanks for sharing😊
I signed up for a free trial just to get those deals totally worth it just to try it we will see if it’s worth the money after the trial in just fuel points alone because I live to far out for delivery and we will see what other coupons will pop up next week I do agree that it was a fail for normal members though should of had other deals as well
In the big picture of the future, people are going to have to buy online or do pick up ordering. Brick and mortar stores are going away. Seems to me they are trying to compete with and catch up to amazon. They need more people to use boost. (I am not going to play along.)
I think that not enough people are signing up for the boost program... So Kroger is trying to find ways to entice us. It might be a really good deal for somebody who uses delivery very often . The things that they're offering are what I call give away loss leaders. Generic bread.... generic hot dog buns... The only one that really caught my attention was the lunch meat for $1.99
Many of my digital coupons are now most often for Boost members or pickup/delivery only. It sucks bc my only Kroger (Without driving an hour away) doesn’t offer delivery or pickup so why bother with Boost!? Not fair when I don’t even have the option for pickup or delivery.
Kroger pickup/ boost shoppers get paid well. I worked there for years. On average depending on the state, they start at $15 an hour for in store associates and $18 an hour for deliverers You actually are not supposed to tip because they do get paid more, so do not feel guilty there. I still tip a few dollars if it's raining or a very large order, but the associate can actually get in trouble for taking it. The delivery drivers do not use their own vehicles and do not pay for gas, they have refrigerated trucks . As far as membership fees, I think it's totally worth it, breaking it down to $5 a month. It stops me from impulse buying, I can also keep track my total better as well as making sure I don't forget anything. I literally can do my order standing in my pantry. So, no more second guessing if I have a certain ingredient hence the over buying or forgetting an item. I do get better coupons which also makes up for the membership. I also consider the fact of gas prices, it would cost me more that the 45 a month to use my own car to get to and from there every week.
In my area they don’t have Kroger employed delivery drivers. All the orders are dispatched through Instacart and instacart shoppers physically shop and deliver the orders in their own cars. Some areas like yours may be different. I believe Florida is one of them. This wasn’t a video to discourage boost, just wanted people to know there are some coupons in store shoppers can’t use.
I noticed on yesterday that the flyer made a restriction concerning digital coupons. It stated that those coupons were for boost customers. I tried to sign up for it and it said there was a fee!😮😳😳😳
I placed a pickup order for today because I cannot take my time and shop because of my back. My couponing I will go into the store for. Kroger is getting desperate for business. People are realizing that they are SO OVERPRICED. PRICE GOUGING is going on at Kroger. I only buy their meat on sale and loss leaders. I go in the store for couponing but that is just for a few things. I shop at walmart or aldi now for other things. Kroger is RIDICULOUS. A tiny jar of Kroger brand peanut butter is now 2.29. SO RIDICULOUS! Walmart 1.94
Kroger’s REGULAR prices have always tended to be more than Walmart. They aren’t price gouging anything in my opinion, they’ve just always been higher priced unless stuff is on sale - which tends to beat out Walmart by a mile.
Secondly, I don't use delivery services because I live 10 miles outside of both Kroger's in my area and secondly, my address does not show up on either Apple Maps or Google maps and I have an issue with people delivering things in general so I have an inclination that would never show up or they couldn't find me
Hey Nick, I saw those coupons and I actually signed up for a free 30 day trial and then I canceled my 30 day trial and I still got the coupons to work so just putting that out there
My husband saw the lunch meat yesterday but ended up not buying it since he doesn’t have boost. I had a trial membership of Boost and there was nothing special about it that would make up for the expensive membership.
I love the coupons. All you need is to filter out the coupons. I'm on a fixed income and don't drive. Findingaffordable reliable transportation is not possible where I live. So the $60 a year that I pay is only 4 trips by a cab. Plus I can use digital Kroger coupons. It's a win win for me. Not everyone can use digital coupons, if you don't have a computer or don't know how to download coupons, you can't use them. So I don't see what the difference is. By the way I love your videos for Krogers and Wal-Mart's. All you need to do is to filter out the boost , pickup and delivery coupons.
It was in the ad 🤷♂️ it doesn’t matter either, but like I said I got a comment and thought people should be aware that a lot of the coupons (especially this week) aren’t able to be used by in store shoppers.
Ya, I don't mind the coupons but it is a pain in the ass to explain that to my father and mother that they can't use those coupons. I don't care for it, but knowing them they will try to use it.
When I was shopping yesterday, there were so many people (mostly elderly) at Self check out that didn't understand why the coupons weren't working. I'm sure the cashiers had a rough day trying to explain what was going on. They need to make those coupons a different color or differentiate it in some way other than the small writing that says boost.
I’m not being negative. I was just letting people know that many of the digitals (especially this week) aren’t available for in store shoppers, but only for Boost. I even said I see why Kroger is doing it for business, but I understand why in store shoppers are sad to be excluded - myself included. I am sad I don’t get .49 bread 😂🤷♂️

I don’t get why they wouldn’t want someone to shop in store.

Awwww sorry about that. That is why I wanted to do this video to let people know that a lot of coupons aren’t valid in store anymore
I have done delivery before and it was fine. I don't have Boost because I don't do it often. But, to save a few dollars here and there to join is not worth it. My thoughts exactly
Let us know what you think!
In the big picture of the future, people are going to have to buy online or do pick up ordering. Brick and mortar stores are going away. Seems to me they are trying to compete with and catch up to amazon. They need more people to use boost. (I am not going to play along.)
Sadly, I agree this seems to be the direction things are going. Thanks for watching Michelle!
They had free peanut butter only if you went in the store on Saturday and Sunday and spent $50 really
No shit yours was 50!? Mine was 35$ wow smh
I saw that too.
Thanks for your video. I almost fell for the boost deals 🙈
Wanted to make sure people don’t accidentally pay more for stuff because the coupons didn’t work.
I think that not enough people are signing up for the boost program... So Kroger is trying to find ways to entice us. It might be a really good deal for somebody who uses delivery very often .

Agreed about people not signing up.

Yes it’s $59 or $99 a year.

@@ohiovalleycouponerthank you. Price Gouging is the new trendy word. Grocery are the least profitable business model.

Ugh 😩

KCB has had a big change too. Noe they seem like single use MFG coupons . Haven’t used JCB since this change
I need to do a video about this next.
Kroger got me too. I use click list always anyways but those digitals are tricky & customers don't like to be tricked
Yeah it can be tricky. Have to pay extra close attention I guess 😭
In was going to just filter the options but saw its only 9 offers
Pickup service has a cost in my area. I assume the coupons for pickup are their way to get you to pay for the service.
Really? Is your store an affiliate? It’s free here with a $35 minimum purchase. Otherwise it’s $4.95.
@@ohiovalleycouponer yeah. I have a Fred Meyer
My husband saw the lunch meat yesterday but ended up not buying it since he doesn’t have boost. I had a trial membership of Boost and there was nothing special about it that would make up for the expensive membership.
Yeah only good if you don’t go to the store and want deliveries
You can still get coupons mailed to you. You just have to call and get added to their mailing list.
I still get them, just on my plus card now instead of mail.
Thanks for the heads up
My pleasure!
I love my boost membership i use it every week .I just get my ibotta deals seperate.u could pay monthly for boost
Glad you like it. I wasn’t trying to discourage people from using it. Just was saying not all coupons work in store.
I will do the boost pickup and delivery during the next pandemic. Until then, it will be in-store for me.
I hope you are wrong about a “next pandemic” 😬

It was in the ad.
But is it really a deal in the long run right
Not really for me. For others, maybe. The digitals this week aren’t worth it for me to pay $59-$99.
These are all under Boost Member Exclusive coupons. If you don’t check the box, you won’t see them.
It was in the ad 🤷♂️ it doesn’t matter either, but like I said I got a comment and thought people should be aware that a lot of the coupons (especially this week) aren’t able to be used by in store shoppers.
I know I was amazed to I suscribe to your channel cause I also live in Ohio so I need to save so thanks
Thanks for watching!

I bet its just another way to try and hook us into their boost program.
I'm just not interested. And this just looks a lil scammy to me😂
Always negative 😂
