    This has been what I've been looking for. I use MET for a/p rotated innominate alignment. These techniques have had very good results for me so far. The patients love the results. Im so glad I found your series on MET. This is exceptional and excellent! Thank you, and I look forward to getting your books. ❤ Blessings

    Do you also bring arms at varied degrees of shoulder abduction to test middle/upper fibers of pec major? I’m just curious if overhead tests all the fibers of pec major or is it primarily lower fibers your checking in test you show? Really appreciate this info and planning to take your soft tissue course!

    • @JohnGibbons
      @JohnGibbons  11 месяцев назад +2

      It will always be the sternal fibres of pec major that become shortened - this test will isolate the muscle, the clavicular fibres rarely become an issue - regards JG

      Thank you..this has happened over the last 3 years from lifting my husband in and out of his wheelchair and straining to do hard work that he couldn’t do,after he passed, I worked odd jobs to survive and hurt them again. It’s been over a year now and there is still a lot of pain.. I did go to a doctor I was sent in for all kinds of tests and they said there was nothing they could see..the pain begins on the right side of my left breast and ends almost to under my left arm. I have no strength in either of my arms. But I will call my doctor again and insist to him my concern...thank you..I hope someone can figure this out..

    ??. If you have torn your pectorialis muscle will there be a lot of pain behind your breast.?

    • @JohnGibbons
      @JohnGibbons  4 года назад +2

      If you have torn the pec muscle then typically you will have bruising present and pain on resisted motion like a bench press or push up, if you only have pain with no trauma then that is not normal so get it checked out. regards JG

    I was taught that the arms overhead tests for pec MINOR where you show MAJOR. Could you please provide some insight/clarification and further explanation?

    • @JohnGibbons
      @JohnGibbons  4 года назад +1

      The pec minor doesn't attach to the shoulder joint because it is a shoulder girdle muscle so this test is a shoulder joint test for the pec major - also a shoulder impingement would restrict motion and a thoracic kyphosis. hope that helps, regards. JG

    • @mensfatlossspecialist
      @mensfatlossspecialist 4 года назад

      @@JohnGibbons In that test, it is shoulder flexion and upward rotation of the scapula if I am not mistaken. And pec minor is a downward rotator. So wouldn't a tight pec minor limit how much flexion/upward rotation you get? As the shoulder and scapula go hand in hand.

    hi john, thank you so much, very instructive!
    so if i understand (sorry, i'm not english) during the test for the pec minor, if the shoulder don't get down on the elbow flexion it can be a probleme on the coracobrachialis, after elbow flexion and elevation of the arm, if the shoulder don't go down it's a trouble on the pec minor right?

    for someone with a lax anterior GH capsule/history of anterior dislocation? would you glide the humeral head posteriorly and then stretch the pec major?
