Laure: I think all will agree. Your facial expressions are priceless. For the two of you; I'm so waiting to see you on your next step. I'm really excited for you both.
I am glad to see Laure is doping fine. And... I am sure the A CAT will fit you guys perfectly and its not that Hard to sail anyway, so go for it. I wish you all the best in the Hunt for the next adventure.
I had Beneteau 373 that I kept for 10 years until 2018 in NY, sailing the New England area, had great memories with it as it offered space inside and on deck. sailed through sunshine, rain and storms, it was great.you kept yours in great shape as I see in the videos. Now I am happier having a larger 49' Najad Monohull from 2004, where I sail it in the Med. You will enjoy your new boat for sure as you take your time to learn about the boat. its a sellers market, everyone wants to have a boat since Covid.. cheers.
Hi Nicolas, Talia has taken great care of us. The interior volume and speed of the 373s is pretty spectacular for a boat this size. We've loved this boat. Now the Najad 49 is a totally different league, what an amazing boat! Hopefully see you on the water some day! ⛵
Aw…….. So sorry for you! Literally just found you this morning while surfing new sailing channels. So sorry your sea sickness has gotten the best of you. You have done great videos! It will be interesting to see what’s next for you. We are a sailing couple in USA Lake Michigan.
Boats can be like a School, and the lessons you learn greatly affect what you start looking for in your Next Sailboat, Sometimes the lessons can be pretty Dramatic too, for example, the massive one that relatively recently for me, threw Out the one word which had Shaped the acquisition of all my Prior Sailboats which in one word is- Bluewater- admittedly this has really Firmed up necessities due to being Disabled . Things I don't like any longer are Classic Masts with Lazy Jacks Ketch Rigs and Twin Forestay Cutters, and Centre Cockpit boats (like living in a Sauna in the Tropics, almost as bad as fully glazed Deck Saloon Greenhouses, with very few exceptions, and any Sailboat with aspirations leaning towards Sailboat Racing. So Twin Rudders arent just out, they are right out, and with them go tripping hazard Mainsheet Tracks in the Cockpit. For some strange reason some people have hypnotised themselves into thinking Twin Rudders are somehow wonderful. Why they arent is covered in the description replacing "Bluewater" - Comfortable Liveaboard Aft Cockpit Cruising Sailboat. I don't know if youre getting one, but after thankfully trying one before buying, and desperately attempting to like Catamarans after being very taken by Rosie Swales adventures with one, I rapidly was forced to conclude that Catamarans Really Hate me😅 That motion when one hull hits a wave before the other one ? I always described as a Corcscrew Motion, but SV Tonic Boatwives, delivering a Lagoon 51 I think it was, delivering it to the Mediterranean, after leaving the Bay of Biscay got hit with it, and I think what they called it was more apt - Like a Bucking Bronco. Fortunately, and probably because I'd used a preventstive half a Stugeron Seasick tablet I wasn't sick, but it really messed my head up . Plus Generally, Catamarans Suck for upwind Sailing. So I've stuck with Monohulls. Aft Cockpit means Sugarscoop or Bathing platform, which for me is a secure Dock, for easy access on and off the Tender, and into the Cockpit Great for an Arch for Solar Panels , Davits and wind generator too. Plus when at anchor which Cruisers spend about 80% of their time on, With Sun and bad weather protection Dodger and Bimini, yo have the most used Room on the Boat. Bliss to stretch out in. As an aside, the aft Cockpit with Pad Eyes and Jack lines is just as safe as a Centre Cockpit, just make clipping in with safety lines a good habit. as you are on the companionway, before entering the Cockpit? Hoping you are both doing ok, Best Wishes and Fair Winds. Bob in Wales. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️❤
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼So glad a happy ending, we'll miss SV Talia. An understandable change, living on board is tight and a minimal size is necessary. Looking forward to seeing your future floating home💪🏼🙏👍🏼🤗⛵🌅. Take care ❣️😍
Hi Jane! Great to hear from you!! We're really looking forward to sharing our next chapter and seeing you and Arnis out on the big blue again soon! 💙 L+L
Hi guys, i hope you’re well, my wife and i were wondering what you are up to these days and if there are any new video’s coming anytime soon ? Take care…
Hey Laura & Luke, congratulations on selling your boat. Hope it all proceeds without a hitch (no pun intended) and the next chapter if your journey can begin soon. We were really hoping to catch up with you somewhere in the Ionian but we were always a couple of weeks behind you. It looks like this episode if ‚Sailing Talia‘ finished on the IBA pontoon in Nidri. Would you be kind enough to share the contact details Matt, the broker? Stay healthy and safe Enjoy your time on the Cat Can‘t wait to join your next adventure RonW
Hey Ron! Thanks for watching, sorry we didn't catch you in the Ionian! We're excited to share our next chapter with you, and who knows, maybe we'll see you next season! We liked the IBA pontoon but preferred the one at Hotel Iris (there is much less swell down there + free use of the hotel pool is very tempting) Matt Grant from Creo Yacht Brokers is absolutely fantastic.
The reason you feel the way you do is because you have put part of your soul in her. The truth of owning a Boat 🚢 is that the Boat takes a part of your soul with her. One thing is for certain, You will Never Forget the Boat 🚢 and all your adventures with her. Ok. Hope you find a New Boat 🚢 soon. Hope it is a cat. Until next time ⏲️ Aloha and Mahalo from the Big Island 🏝 of Hawaii.
You're absolutely right KptBill. Our adventures onboard Talia has been a pretty transformative experience. One thing is sure, she galvanised our love and respect for the sea and this beautiful blue marble we call home. More adventures to come!
Thank you! 😊 We didn't feel like anything was really missing (apart from maybe a bit of space - but hey, it's a boat!) There were however some design elements that made living aboard a bit uncomfortable. We'll go into more detail in an upcoming episode.
All the love support and power to you guys, because of your episods I could able to see sailing life all the very best for the future episode guys ❤️❤️❤️
Guys, thanks to you I chartered a boat in Corfu and sailed to Gaios in Paxos, what a beautiful harbour. Probably the nicest place I have ever been. Thank you. Is this a spoiler alert, is Laure expecting?????????
Wow Andy! We're so happy to hear that you loved Gaios just as much as we did, such a magnificent place! 😊 As for the reason for upsizing... Well... no spoilers in the comment section 😉
Thanks so much! We're not hanging up the camera equipment just yet! Still plenty of sea adventures ahead of us and HOPEFULLY we'll be onboard Talia II soon! 🤞
I'm not surprised that your boat has sold so quickly. At the moment the market for "smaller" boats is empty. Thanks to Covid :( I know brokers who have a waiting list, as far as I know, that has never existed. That's probably why your broker had a buyer so quickly. I hope you didn't sell too cheaply, at the moment: the normal price + 20% = sales price I hope you find a nice Kat
Hi Luke. We hope you are both well. I have a question. We are coming to the Med in October. We are interested in a 373. Can you share what you did not like? Or her downsides? We understand the size is smaller but looking for what didn’t you like about her as a liveaboard. Thanks Kellie
Not got an answer yet. I hope they are OK. I've been seriously looking into the 373, as a Shoal draft one at first appeared to fit my needs, but if Sailing the Med permanently and only it really doesn't matter much, but you have to remember the 373 is a Light displacement boat, and can be a bit uncomfortable as a result, as swells come into Bays and such - which is why I really need a Shoal Draft Sailboat, as withbthe home Waters around the UK, there are some important Small Bays to tuck into that have low tide water depths of 6 ft pretty close to shore safe from Storms, so for me, I need a maximum Draft of 5 ft. If I get the boat across the Atlantic, even with 5 ft you have to take extra Care in places like the Bahamas, ICW, etc. though the leverage effect moments with a 5 ft are still well within very decent safety margins for keel bolt stretch and such, and any issues should be easy to spot at annual haulouts and not wildly expensive to repair. Overall though, as a Coastal Cruiser, the 373 is a really cracking Sailboat, and once Comfort issues are given some perspective there don't seem to be any really serious zdownsides. tbh, with a very careful route is selected to cross the Atlantic, at the right time of year, and the proper preparation, even an Atlantic Crossing could be great fun. Hope that helps, though I'm personally considering something a bit bigger, with a bit more displacement now, as a tide me over boat before putting in an order for a new Island Packet because - Comfort. Best Wishes and Best of Luck finding a great Boat. Bob in Wales. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️❤️

The end of something is invariably the beginning of something. Without the end, there is no beginning! Beginnings are exciting!!
Beautifully said Francis!
Looking forward to follow Talia whatever the boat!
Go safely

What’s happened with you guys? We loved watching your weekly videos. Are you still looking for a cat? We’d love to continue on your journey with you.
Just wondering how things are going with you two…
No news anymore?
Steering the porcelain bus? What is that? Diarrhea?
