Med mooring isn't easy but one does tend to get better with practice. My tips (after 14years here in Greece) is preparation before going into the berth, making sure your warps are ready to throw and not on the wrong side of the push pit, fenders out (including fenders on the stern), dinghy brought to a midships cleat (not forward cleat because I’ve seen many an anchor dropped into its own dinghy!) and anchor ready to drop. Line up straight to the place you’re planning to go to, deploy anchor when about five boat lengths out and reverse up to quay. The weight of the anchor chain will keep you steady whilst you quickly tie on the (windward first) warps. Then tighten the anchor chain. Simples!
👏👏👏👏👏 well done! SV Talia, your experience, know how, and confidence is growing!!! Certainly have come a long way in all senses🙌😆 I did a small survey on Instagram regarding vessel choice, and monohulls are still favourite, but we can't disregard "Cats" comfort and space....... Unfortunately ports in the Mediterranean are not the best places for them. I think we have to learn to down turn our exigencies, or recognise what is our style on the oceans or sea! Editing ace👌💪💯👏👏👏
Whew, you scared me when you said that it is an end of a chapter. Mmm, ouzo, so good as a digestive aid. Beautiful video once again "guys", sorry Commander Laura.
