- Street skating is all about pushing around and exploring your surroundings, and there’s no better place to do that than New York City. There are endless spots in all five boroughs, and unlike many other US cities, you can get everywhere in NYC without a car. All you need is your board, a MetroCard, and some healthy motivation.
As one of the world’s most iconic cities, it’s not surprising that NYC has been one of the most popular skate destinations for decades. Historically, lower Manhattan has been the hub of skateboarding in NY, and sessions at the Brooklyn Banks date back to the early 1980s. The streets of downtown, midtown and everywhere in between are featured in countless videos that helped shape the aesthetic and identity of east coast skateboarding as a whole.
With new spots and parks popping up all the time, and independent brands and shops that support the community, opportunities to skate are more prominent then ever, so have a peek at a few of the many spots that make NYC worth the push.

+Yassine - R Bbj Lowest I've seen for a one bedroom is $1600.
Seen up to three rooms for the same price, so it's may not be so bad if you can get roommates. That said, I live in Queens, which isn't most people's idea of "NYC".
