My brother, you are amazing, wonderful, fabulous, imaginative, you are in relation to everything. I will become a father in the future like you. I am proud and say to my teacher, Michael, who taught me football only on RUclips. Your follower from Iraq. Keep going, Michael 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🤍
Awesome video. I went to some club trials for a local team and they told me I need to improve on my close ball control. These exercises are great and I will be looking forward to purchasing the maestro training guide! Thank you 7mlc!
Took the plunge and decided to start coaching at my middle school. Been looking for drills of all complexity but there is no skipping the fundamentals! Thank you for this video, its a great resource. Definitely going to be running my players through these.
Amazing video. I used to disapprove ball mastery, But last year I have just seen how it is important to do it from time to time. Just adding 10 minutes ball mastery in combination with dribbling exercises (3 times a week) can give a great boost for your ability to manipulate a ball 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Mike, I have been using 1000 touches part 2 with my U12 boys team. They do them when they are arriving instead of just banging shots before warmed up. They do them before training and games. I am going to mix it up and have them do these as well alternating. I like the cone to require better control. Thanks for posting these. The camera work and slow start make them easy to follow. I send them the link and a short write up to refer to remember what comes next. My goal with the guys is to create fearless players. Make them believe that can take any player 1v1.
Thanks for the awesome video as always. Your touch and control is actually crazy. If I tried to do these drills I would mess up a lot. Your work and effort that you put into the videos are unmatched. Keep up the good work ❤💯!
Been waiting for videos with details in slow motion like this for a while bro! I had to put your previous tutorial videos under 0.25x to see the skills you were showing. Thanks for making this video and please make more like this for us! Wish you the best❤
This is an excellent video. For someone who is just developing an interest, drills like these really help. Also, they are a lot of fun. After doing these for over a month, there are a few things that clicked for me: 1. See how the entire body moves in a coordinated fashion. This is particularly visible in the L-drag. As the feet pulls back the ball the other feet jumps to create space for moving the ball to the side 2. You should have a hop in your movement in some places. This helps with being agile and quick. See the square for this. This is also how it is different from the La Croqueta - which is more about snappy transfer of ball from one feet to another. 3. Just like (2), you should rotate from the waist for movements like V-drag. I had to first do these while my feet was planted to just understand the movement. The idea is to do these in a rhythm and with sustained pace. This is what I have understood so far while doing these. It's a lot of fun to do these!

Michael, It’s good that you keep recycling these drills and techniques especially as there is always someone new watching them for the first time. For coaches however, it’s ALSO important to know HOW to coach them. And if, as coach, you personally are not able to perform them, then get your technically best player to do so. I used to ‘reward’ good performances by selecting them to show their best skills etc. So it becomes a ‘trust & reward’ part of my coaching. If a player showed me something I hadn’t seen before then it was named after them for evermore. This encouraged players to experiment often without the fear of failure which is so crucial to development. Michael, what are your top 5 ever technical drills in your opinion? The reason I’m asking is that I want to add to my own. 👍
I would say there is no such thing as a “good drill” or a “bad drill” as the progress a player makes comes only through the quality and intensity they bring to the activity that they’re doing. Drills are just a tool, the same way you can give a painter a really flashy paintbrush, but it’s only through focus and imagination that results are shown on the canvas.
