    I just use Chinese soy sauce which is just as good. I love you use other none conventional ingredients such as mirin sauce, Shiitake powder, and rose wine instead of the Shaoxing cooking wine for this recipe.

    Thank you for your cooking video. I thoroughly enjoy all of them. Why my chicken never turn out in the nice brown colour? Mine tend t be spotty and not evenly brown 😓😥

    • @ieatishootipost
      @ieatishootipost  3 месяца назад

      It depends on your soy sauce as well. If the color is not deep enough, try to get hold of dark soy sauce and add it to the braising sauce.

    • @monikatellvik4078
      @monikatellvik4078 3 месяца назад

      @@ieatishootipost I did actually add dark soya sauce mix with kikkoman soya sauce but my chicken skin is still white and spotty brown. Did I not cool down my chicken enough after blanching? I will try again😊 Thank you

    • @ieatishootipost
      @ieatishootipost  3 месяца назад

      @@monikatellvik4078 You can add more dark soy sauce to the braising liquid or paint the dark soy sauce onto the chicken skin when it is dry before adding it into the braising sauce.

      Most restaurants just buy the peanuts ready braised! The can version is so cheap and tasty, there really is no reason to make it yourself!

    Tried it and it is delicious. My wife claimed that she is not a fun of chicken wings, but this way she is asking for more. I would like to ask you about other recipes if possible. We have nice Chinese restaurant in Zagreb (Croatia) which has been closed lately. We were regularly ordered zu con, and huo tian chicken. Since they have closed i am trying to find a recipe for this and couldn't find it. Can you help?
