Rich knows his stuff! Had the opportunity to ride with Rich (I did a training session with him).and he's an excellent teacher. Reach out to Rich and do a training session and I guarantee you'll be a better rider (assuming you practice what he teaches you). This technique is super helpful when doing endure training. This also, as Rich states, helps you converse energy. Thanks for this video Rich.
Yet another awesome break down! I think they are all super great and are VERY easy to follow/understand. However, I do miss HEARING the examples more - hearing when and where you slip/dump the clutch, where you rev it up, etc. Please consider adding more audio of the manoeuvres. Thanks for your videos!! You've helped me a LOT to becoming a better rider!
Definetly should open your own riding school, and create a book/DVD combo for learning enduro/trials/cross country. I'd buy your services in a heartbeat! Thanks for all of the awesome free content! If you have a patreon or something I would be able to donate in a couple months? -Jon
How generous of you for taking the time to break down these moves into smaller bites for us ‘Groms’ . It’s a great series and you explain these ‘mysteries’ very well. Many thanks.😄
Everything I could say about you and your video instruction has already been said..... priceless! Installed my first IRC tire yesterday, say it, Gekkota !
Great video Rich! I’ve been trying this technique on steep slippery uphills with roots and rocks to try and get over from a static start. It’s very tricky! Thanks for the detailed description, hopefully it helps me!
Another fantastic video. You seem to be growing momentum in your following, which is good for you and bad for me. I like it when I'm the only one getting your tips! 🤣
Love this stuff, Rich. Although, I can't believe your neighbors haven't pulled you aside and told you to get an electric bike when you're in the backyard. lol
Watching your videos and practicing have made the obstacles much easier. I'm certainly not ready for the advanced techniques, I have a much easier time getting unstuck. I just try to focus on weighting the footpegs as I accelerate while releasing the clutch as you do in the other variations.
Rich, your videos are fantastic. You do a great job of explaining techniques in a way that everyone can comprehend. While watching this, and other vids of yours, I notice that when you aggressively shift your weight forward your hips go up to and even occasionally contact your bars. I obviously understand the importance of that, but am curious as to what you would recommend for people trying these techniques on a bike with a windshield...? I've got a Honda 300 Rally that I've been riding and in the rare case that momentum and a wheelie wont get me over something, I try the smash method but am typically not able to get my weight forward hard enough because my chest will get hit by the rising windshield thus killing that upward/forward momentum. Any suggestions?
Hey Hard Enduro IRC Tire Guy. Good Vid as always. We Know its always good 2 Ride Smart Not Hard expeasly in Hard Enduro. & it's always Best 2 Practice practice practice Makes Alot better Rider. Wick On ✊
Rich, how you manage to keep the bike not shooting forward when you gas out? I am facing a difficulties when dealing with high obstacle, bike almost 45 degree, sometimes when i stuff the bike just shoot forward and i almost have to grab the bike back and pressing forward while standing can not just stop the motion
The 110/100 - 18 IRC VOLCANDURO rear tire is competing with Dunlop on Cebu island for all the trail riders. Drop the price of this specific bread-and-butter tire and all the trail riders will purchase it. Same for the 21" knobby front tires and 4.10 18" rear tires.
Buy a trials bike and practice on bike that weighs 100lbs less. Crashes way better than a 250lb and will give you the confidence to attempt on your enduro bike. Best thing I ever did to up my enduro game was to buy a trials bike and learn the fundamentals!! Most fun I’ve had going slow!
Best enduro tips on RUclips 💪
Rich, you are absolutely the “Master Yoda/JEDI Knight” of Hard Enduro! Excellent breakdown of the techniques!

Thamks for all these tips! I wish I could train these exercises every day on my yz250fx.
That was definitly hard to apply this technique for me today. Fatigue, muscle pain… This is when you realize how physical wellness is necessary. 🤙🏼
Hey , since I am new to the channel are you able to add the sound to guide so we can know your rpm sound when and how much preload your doing

If you push down on your foot pegs how will you cover the rear brake if the bike goes over a bit to far at the top of the obstacle?
This is super useful that I use it in my every ride
Great video. Thanks! Trying out my first IRC product because of these videos. What happened to the budget build?
Rich this technic must to break down as also the pongo stance in the bike
Hi,very nice video, can I ask what boots do you use please or what brand do you recommend?

Thank you so much for your videos and help.
Hi Rich. Ive been wondering why you ride a Sherco, are you sponsored by them or is there a reason you chose a sherco?
Awesome stuff thank you from South Europe
I’ve been trying this on my enduro bike, hasn’t worked out. Will try again next week on my trials bike. Need to learn this.

I think all I need to do is to remember to use this technique from now on and I will ride on like a pro.
