Huge thanks for this detailed video. For anyone wondering, this also applied perfectly to my 2018 GT model, so I assume the next generation follows the same steps.
I signed in just so I can comment and tell you thank you. More instructional videos should follow this simple format - Explanations, tool sizes, demonstrations of the tabs once removed from the vehicle. Well done.

By far one of the most well made videos I have ever seen on auto repair. But what it convinced me of, is that whatever my mechanic charges is worth it.

Thanks so much for this video! I appreciated the breakdown and reassembly with great close-up footage. You made reinstalling those lock rods back onto the actuator look easy. It was not! What took you 10 seconds took me 15 minutes but I got 'em. The new actuator works great and I wouldn't have attempted the job without this video. Also, the procedures worked great on a 2017 Grand Caravan
My door won't latch in on drivers side. Not sure if it's the actuator. Some time ago a strong wind, unexpectedly ripped the door out of my hand to hyper extend it, leading to some damage in the door skin as well as the fender. Furthermore, the hinge mount on the door frame or door itself or both must have sustained some damage, since when trying to close the door there is resistance and the end feel. After bending the door skin out of the way from the fender, to not have it catch any longer, it seemed to function adequately for a some time. Therefore, I'm not sure if the non-latch issue is related to this event. In any case, one can not beat RUclips university, specially with a professor like this. Kudos to the cam operator and editor also. Thanks for doing both, dis-and reassembly. Liked, subscribed and saved; obviously. Apologies for my rambling on. Perhaps it's better served up as a docudrama.🤔
Thanks so much for the great video instructions! Saved me tons of time for sure. Perfect video angles, clarity and explanation on every step. Thanks again!!!
Completely different than a 2011 grand Cherokee if anyone was wondering. Only one window glass tab, the actuator is attached to the window channel, tough to get actuator out of the housing, but the video somewhat helps
Great video, thanks! Way better than the others I've seen. One thing I don't understand - why is it necessary to disconnect the window from the regulator and tape it in the full-up position? Why couldn't you just leave the window connected in the full-up position? Is it because there's something about the regulator mechanism that would block access in the full-up position?

Very nice video, straight forward and easy to understand. Just had two questions. Why do you need to unhook the window? Is it because the mechanism of the window is in the way? Planning on replacing this part next week. Also I learned years ago always make sure it work before putting it completely together!
I’m going to be replacing the cable from the inside door handle to the latch. Would I use these same steps, except swap out my cable instead of the latch? The vehicle is a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan.
It might. I have the grand cherokee lock actuator and they look similar. Slightly different, but same process i would assume. I'm not sure how there isnt a single video of a jeep getting this done.
Awesome video I really helped me understand how to take apart the door before I do that I have a 2018 Dodge Caravan the locking mechanism works but it seems like the little silver tab on the top is having a hard time going up and down to engage it what should I do
We have a 2011 Town & Country. The passenger side sliding van door lock does not respond to the key fob or the lock buttons. Have you done a video for this?
The lock on my caravan will not engage when the door panel is reinstalled. Without the door panel, the lock works perfectly. What did i do wrong? Any ideas?
I used your video to help me replace my interior door handle - thank you! I can't get the door latch cable to seat properly, it won't retract far enough to slide into place after the tip is inserted... Any tips?
The cable was floppy in there for so long it got hung up on something. I got it to come loose again and everything back in working order. Thank you for such a Great Video - you gave me the confidence to try removing the center panel - even though I didn't end up needing to. You're the best!!!
This video is great! I am almost there, however the electric plug going back into the new actuator doesn't seem to fit. Does anyone else have this problem? I have a 2016 Caravan. Thanks,
+Raïm This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Thanks for the great video. As usual Chrysler somehow finds a way to do an absolutely shit engineering job on something that could be so simple. I cannot express how much I hate Chrysler products, they're all junk.
i have a bad actuator but it will not let me open my door. Its stuck in locked position. Any Ideas how to get it to let me open the door so i can replace the actuator?

I followed theses instructions to the "T" and was able to fix this without any issues or spending $450 at the mechanic. You guys are awesome!!
THANKS ! Worked perfectly for my 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan!

You saved me $400 in labor costs at the dealership. Awesome video!!

Excellent video, well explained and good camera Angles .
A professional job, thank you.
I just used this awesome video to replace my broken drivers door latch/lock assembly on my 2018 DGC. Saved me a bunch of money too!

best video that explained forward and back on how to fix this issue quick and efficiently

Outstanding. Works on 2018 as well. Thank you!
I really like these videos! You guys are putting them up quick, too. I talked to a local indy Toyota shop, and they use TRQ axles.

The window track is connected to the backside of panel.
Track can be seen at 7:19.
Thank you, worked the same on 2018 model.
This is one of the best how to videos I've seen. You spent time to show close ups of hinge to do!! Great job!!!

Excellent instructions!
Flawless instructions.
Got my lights changed out, working fine thank you
Very well done video, very helpful, thank you
Thanks so much. Made the job so much easier!!
Thanks, just helped me replace the passenger side.
Excellent work
Nice job.
7:27 Forgot to put this connector in, so, do I have to take all out over again to put that connector in?
16:52 he put back the connector .he did everything perfect 👌

did u make it work?
what is the part called that the lock actuator is sitting in? and can you purchase a new one?
Great videos, how about the rear sliders they go out alot , thanks
I've been trying to replace the rear right door lock actuator on a 2011 grand cherokee but i cant find ANY videos on it. Help :(((
I’m going to be replacing the cable from the inside door handle to the latch. Would I use these same steps, except swap out my cable instead of the latch? The vehicle is a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan.
also what is the yellow modual for with the 2 screws
Got a part number for the door handle plastic lock clip that goes in the actuator holds the door handle rod to actuator.
Thanks a bunch for this video, i am in the middle of doing this.
Replaced the door lock actuator drivers side .its was making a loud noise and erratic then locking. Having two people is faster to replace .
Would this work for the 2017 cherokee latitude as well?? Seen this under the jeep cherokee parts listing.
It might. I have the grand cherokee lock actuator and they look similar. Slightly different, but same process i would assume. I'm not sure how there isnt a single video of a jeep getting this done.
what was the reason for changing that latch assembly
Awesome video I really helped me understand how to take apart the door before I do that I have a 2018 Dodge Caravan the locking mechanism works but it seems like the little silver tab on the top is having a hard time going up and down to engage it what should I do
I'm having the same problem. Seems like this is an issue on all the caravans. Mine is a 2017.
We have a 2011 Town & Country. The passenger side sliding van door lock does not respond to the key fob or the lock buttons. Have you done a video for this?
+Todd Fahr We're always cycling through common cars. We'll add this repair to our list! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Anyone know if this procedure will work on a 2018?
How do I do the sliding door actuator when the door is stuck locked
Can we get a video for the rear door lock actuator plz.
+@josiahlopez2806 We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ

what about the rear sliding door?
My 2010 dodge caravan front passenger door is stuck shut! The window works the lock works but I can open it. Help!!!
This video is great! I am almost there, however the electric plug going back into the new actuator doesn't seem to fit. Does anyone else have this problem? I have a 2016 Caravan. Thanks,
Is the procedure the same for a 2009 model ?
+Raïm This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
What’s the deal with taking the window off track and lifting it up? Why not just leave the window up?
5:23-6:08 I have no idea what your doing. I don’t see a little rod locking mechanism in that hole you go through…
Why am I seeing costs of over $1000 to get this done at a shop? It looks pretty easy and quick.
Thanks for the video, did this job today for my exwife.
Thanks for the great video. As usual Chrysler somehow finds a way to do an absolutely shit engineering job on something that could be so simple. I cannot express how much I hate Chrysler products, they're all junk.
i have a bad actuator but it will not let me open my door. Its stuck in locked position. Any Ideas how to get it to let me open the door so i can replace the actuator?
try pull the inside handle to open door
“Disconnect this connector”
Seems riduculously difficult
