What I love most about that cabin crew member was you spoke in Spanish, she spoke in French, and then you spoke in English, and she went to Spanish LOL
Same happened to me :D I spoke English, stewardess answered in Spanish. I spoke Spanish she reikien in English. Also asked in English ”Are you Mexican?”. Aeromexico sobrecargos are awesome.
I'm a big fan of Aeromexico. Pre-pandemic I flew with them Amsterdam-Mexico City-San Salvador, albeit in Economy ........ a quality 'back of the plane' product with great food, service & unlimited free Tequilas!
One of my best Business Class flights I've had in a long time was also on the 787-9 Aeromexico. I was so impressed. It was just before Covid and we could pre-order our meal. I would definitely recommend.
Aeromexico once delayed my flight to the next day due to a technical issue on the airplane, I was not on that much of a rush to get home so I didn't care that much, still to my surprise they took us to a fantastic hotel, I was served a rather decent meal for dinner and they put me on a suite with a jacuzzi, it ended up being the nicest part of the trip which was just a typical work trip. No other airline I've flown has ever offered me a sincere apology for something going wrong and much less compensated that well for it, its trully remarkable, and I was flying economy. GREAT Airline!
Left LA once for the flight back to Australia armed with my sleeping tablets and was asleep even before the safety presentation. Best flight back from there ever. Sadly had to drug myself to do it though.
Mexico City, one of my favourites! Darn , I miss it. When things get to some sort of normal, its at the top of places to return to! Although the airport is about the hardest to deal with, especially for domestic flights. Found it very confusing. Although its just basically one very long terminal. Anyway, enjoy, get to the food markets, they are great.
Thanks for the incredible video Noel! I am a Mexican living in New Zealand and I always get this enormous wave of homesickness when I see an Aeromexico plane when I get the opportunity to fly overseas.
Only just discovered this site recently and though I am not much of a plane geek I really enjoy watching. My first ever flight was from Melbourne to Sydney in 1968 was up in a 727 and back in a DC9. I was 8 and thought that I would die of excitement. Still remember the thrill of it all, feeling so cool. It was with Ansett, my stepmum was the personal secretary to the Victorian manager. I was hooked after that.
@@noelphilips You probably weren't born when I went on them. I must have been a bit of a geek as I am now 60 and have never forgotten what type of planes I was on, I asked my dad at the time I was so fascinated.
You can use the Terminal Train, you just need to show a valid air ticket ether with Aeromexico if you want to go to T2 or with other airline if you want to return to T1....
Very relieved to see an upload today, had a horrible feeling after your exit from Twitter (I’ve left it too now!) hope everything is ok for you and thanks for continuing to upload during these troubled times.
Great video Noel. I flew with Aeromexico a few times before covid and found them to be very good. They were very keen on dishing out the Tequila all the time too!
Hey Noel, if you ever get a chance I recommend going to Japan and checking out their airlines. In my opinion ANA and JAL offer the best business class. Also the trip from Japan to Hawaii is pretty incredible as well!
Really looking forward to seeing your Mexican adventure. I'm planning a trip there this summer and hopefully some of your insights will help. I hear Mexico is very lax on their COVID restrictions.
Welcome to México 🇲🇽 Dear Noel, unfortunately there is a lot of things that we need to improve in our beloved country, no signs at all and that is huge problem. The good thing is that our people is so warm and welcoming. Mexican beaches are a must to visit. Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽!!!
This is very true. I stayed at a beautiful resort in the Mayan Riviera with my family in 2013. The Mexican people that worked at the resort were very accommodating and so friendly. It was a fantastic week! Barcelo Mayo Palace Deluxe I believe it was called.
Hey, like many missed a bunch of holidays in the past 12 ish months. As a parent just wondered if you could do two videos I’m sure loads would be interested 1- top 5 pre flight hotels at LHR from a travelling with kids 2- what you abs your kids pack on a carry on Think you would find lots interested
‘Great video Noel. You are one of the few avgeeks I follow is consistently putting out new content which is great in the current climate. Can’t wait to get things sorted with COVID so the world can open up again.
Travelled from Australia to LA then caught an Aeromexico flight from LA to Mexico City the flight and service from good but probably the thing I remember the most is sitting next to an old lady who spent the whole flight crying while saying the rosary. Yes one of my more memorable flights 😂
I’ll never forget my English friend originally from Yorkshire but who has been in Australia for a long time, telling me that she had been to Paris for a weekend. It completely blew my mind. We travel bloody hours to get anywhere apart from Bali and the beautiful Vanuatu. Twelve hours is nothing to us Aussies.
There is an "aerotren" which is a train that takes you to terminal 1 or 2 for free if you show your ticket or hotel reservation. In terminal 1 it's locates between doord 4 and 5, and in terminal 2 it's located next to the domestica side of departures (although some intl departures from that side)
Hi Noel, How many languages do you speak? I'm impressed when you can basically read the Russian signs in Russian language countries, speak Spanish, French and on and on. Amazing!
Hi Noel, love your videos, make me happy as you are so positive. Just FYI if you didn´t know or nobody commented, Etro is a very well known and expensive, predominantly men´s Italian fashion brand founded in 1968 by Gerolamo "Gimmo" Etro. A cool amenity kit thus!
Interesting that Aero Mexico flies a red eye CDG-MEX, most airlines flying to North America from Europe depart late morning/early afternoon. Aero Mexico were an option (with really long layovers) from SAT/AUS-NRT when I was looking at flights to Japan, & those flights left MEX at ~01:00 & arrived NRT ~ 05:00. Most US/Canadian/Japanese airlines departed North America for Japan late morning.
I flew this aircraft last week from CDG to MEX, from MEX to CUN and then from MEX to MAD and the seat in business class is not full flat!!! It goes does 180 degrees but it is not flat.
Finally can see my country in one if your videos, hope you enjoy your visit and I recommend you “el cardenal “restaurant at Palma street in the center, also tacos al pastor are one of the greatest dishes in Mexico.
So lucky Noel that you can still fly around the world and enjoy holidays whilst the rest of us here in the UK are subject to COVID-19 restrictions and not allowed to travel unless it’s for work. Enjoy your holiday!
There is actually a train which goes from Guadalajara to Tequila town (where Tequila is made) and it is called Tequila Express! The name is already taken sorry hahaha
Indeed TEQUILA EXPRESS was a turistic railroad from Guadalajara to Tequila, now is operated as JOSE CUERVO EXPRESS and TEQUILA HERRADURA EXPRESS, I recommend highly both
Bienvenido a México Noel! Welcome!
Looks like AeroMexico's B-787-900 not bad look aircraft. The only aircraft's I used over the last 12 years 777, 747 & A320, A330. Dreamliner 787 is on my bucket list....
I just flew the 787-9 on AM from MEX-MAD, and the service and food were very mediocre. We’ll see how things are on the way back, but I was disappointed. There was definitely no bar on my flight either. I wonder why things seem to have been so different in February compared to now.
Love the video Noel. Also love your 'blog' type entries around the hotel, when you're on an Island, couple of my favourites have when you've been to local restaurants too, would love to see more of that content in extended/extra videos!

Once you step out into the street though it becomes the real “Mexico” so I am not surprised about that little bus experience. I am still waiting for the Inter-terminal train to work!? The rails have been built for years.
Planning to visit Mexico City for the first time myself later this year but from california. We have a direct flight from here on volaris and another with a connection on gdl on Aeromexico.
