  • Take a Front Seat and a Back Seat ride on Apocalypse, Six Flags Magic Mountain's ONLY wooden roller coaster.
Opened in 2009 as Terminator Salvation: The Ride, Apocalypse replaced the infamous Psyclone roller coaster.
When Apocalypse opened as Terminator, it was the first and only wooden roller coaster to have onboard audio. The ride use to play the iconic Terminator theme while cresting the lift hIll and the song "Beautiful People " by Marilyn Manson while having sounds of war and random people scream phrases at riders such as "TAKE THE TUNNEL!" while traversing the coaster.
The onboard audio only lasted 2 years before being removed when the Terminators licensing rights were dropped and the ride was stripped of most Terminator references. Because of the onboard audio, there is a "zero" car at the back of each train where the electronics for the onboard audio use to be held.
Fun Fact: You will see "S'" logos scattered around the queue and ride. Those "S" logos stand for "SkyNet" and are the few remaining references to the rides past Terminator theme. Today those logos stand for "Scavengers".
