- This video uses several mods to create a more definitive ending for Sonic Frontiers Final Horizon. There's now three phases to the final boss: Supreme, Supreme Beast, and The End. The first two phases have different attack patterns and increased difficulty! Hyper Sonic is put over Super Sonic 2.

Phase 3 was not edited in, the mod actually lets you go from Supreme Beast to 'The End' which is really cool. The mod creator ended up making different versions of the Supreme fight in the past couple days. I went with an earlier build of Supreme as I found it cooler than the newer version of Supreme, and then the later version of Supreme Beast so it wouldn't crash which is why you'll see some editing. I couldn't get the arm parry QTE to not crash in both builds..
Anyways enjoy, Hyper Sonic looks epic in the cutscenes.

Fun fact hyper sonic was originally going to be the form that sonic got to beat the end but some people during the development decided against it. It would of been obtained lore wise in a similar way to super sonic 2 with him calling out to the ancients and koco to give him the last of their energy and that would of unlock hyper sonic
@derekvillegas4003 Because they thought it would "devalue" Super Sonic. What do they think fans are just going to go, "If Sonic uses his Hyper form this villain would be defeated quicker!"

@@wilsonno9675 I mean they pretty much devalue super sonic in the base game by saying him alone isn’t enough to beat the end. And the alternative ending he uses super sonic 2 and cyber super sonic. Hyper sonic has always been a fan favorite form that people want to see come back it doesn’t have to come back all the time just every now and then and this game felt like the perfect time. Since we were already using super sonic to defeat the titans and we knew something bigger of a threat was coming it felt appropriate that this being might eclipse the power of super sonic so hyper would be the best bet. But whatever I understand that the original way to obtain hyper sonic is gone but I would like to see the form come back one day under different circumstances
I think because they use every form once a game except from super sonic so we probably won't see it again 🤔
@@wilsonno9675 nah, it was fine to not bring back Hyper Sonic since its gonna have more problems on the future games with the scale of power; a problem that Dragon Ball has until this day

Honestly I think Supreme Beast should take place AFTER The End, so Supreme gets possessed with Sage still inside. So it's only Tails, Knuckles, and Amy who keep the barrier up, and Eggman's ending remains the same as the original.
Well no maybe have sage get spit of surpreme so that way she lives plus that’s kind of the point of update 3 to give 2 different endings
Eh. I honestly think that exchange would have been better if Tails, Knuckles, and Amy never showed up. It felt *really* fucking corny to me.

Be awesome if you could mod the final fight to flow better with the other battles. Have the scene cut from Cyber Sonic flying up to The End straight to the battle, have Cyber Sonic replace Supreme, have the QTE cut back to the cutscene of Cyber Sonic slamming through The End. The big problem would be the cutscene before the QTE where Supreme supports Sonic and Throws him.
Eh, I'd have had the End be fought after Supreme, while Supreme Beast would be heavily modded to take place after the End fight. It'd be the End Round 2, so the mod would be about completely different visuals.
As for the End's speech about Supreme becoming its vessel, I think I'd place that just before the Supreme fight.
including the shoot em up makes no sense because the end literally blew up in the cutscene

This is Sonic's accurate lore power in all it's greatness.
Hyper would canonically shred this fight, if anything, this mod makes Sonic a lot weaker.
@@sonicdml4175nah, it's just that Hyper Sonic hasn't appeared in so long, and this version of isn't natural, so Sonic's kinda struggling to maintain stability with this version of Hyper.
When Sonic goes all out with it, the Cyber interpretation of Hyper can't handle the original and nearly drives Sonic Insane.

so basically the first phase is the original supreme fight the second phase is the new supreme/end fight and the third phase is the original end fight
The first phase is new, almost all the attacks been modified, second phase is the new supreme with a few speed differences and patterns. The end is OG but takes place after everything

The blast knocks Sonic from Hyper to Super and then to base, then explodes, only for Sonic to heal himself and get backup again powering up to Super and once again Hyper

A second alternative idea: Sonic takes down Supreme, he and Sage chase after the End. Shooter fight happens, but Supreme survives, descending to the planet below. Sonic gives chase, Sage gets kicked out, and the End takes control over Supreme, prompting Super Sonic 2
Man this "Definitive Ending" mod sure ruins itself with lore cause well 19:49 Supreme must rematerialized after that cause he went poof. Lore wise loved to hear them explain how Sage piloted a Deleted Titan and how Sonic got a second wind after going all out.
Exactly. It pretty much ruins how it calls itself the “Definitive Ending” mod when Supreme was destroyed by Sonic, and when he somehow gets a second wind when he actually lost consciousness after striking through The End.
This video is still cool but I definitely prefer the update 3 ending we got adding hyper sonic makes it feel forced
They could've made hyper exist here with the chaos emeralds being in this place instead of another dimension because the Koko/ancients created the emeralds so those would have more power or something.
Since they did a power upgrade anyways, they might as well had Hyper Sonic using some new power scheme like you said.
The Ancients didn't even create the emeralds, they only found them. Also Hyper would require the Super Emeralds, not the regular emeralds.

The supreme fight IS 3 phases. It's probably why they didn't want supreme being too hard cause this fight is the longest in the game.
It goes from supreme to the end and the end phase 2 without ring being regenerated. 3 phases.

Hyper Sonic is one of the few things I'm with Iizuka on. It was a one-off form only possible because of the Super Emeralds, which lost their power and returned to being the Chaos Emeralds after Doomsday Zone. It's the same deal as Darkspine or Excalibur Sonic, and now Super Sonic Cyber.
What? There excuse is the super Emeralds are in another dimension who told you that one lmfao
@@IzBirch How tf does a different dimension make any sense at all? The power loss at least has in-game evidence, with the grey, cracked Super Emeralds in Hidden Palace in Sonic Mania
I know this is not that simple but the best way to unite the fight between supreme/the end and the orifinal of The end would be to create a new scene in which sonic did not destroy Supreme, but freed him from the end and then I faced it with the help of Sage just like the original.
I argue the ending isn't "definitive" without a proper boss fight with The End itself.

The supreme boss in this mod should have been what the vanilla boss should have been, Incredibly tough with all its cut attacks added. Maybe its just me that wants a dark souls level boss in a sonic game.

Eh, i'd prefer having the old the end fight BEFORE the 1 take possesed supreme, idk even with that 1 included, having basicly the samegameplay as the hacking just doesn't work as the final phase

Just insert the cutscene between Supreme Beast and The End where Sage takes command of Supreme and flies into space (minus Super Sonic) then this would be perfect.

The lighting doesn’t look cool anymore AND it makes you do the original End fight
This fight is WAYY too long for a good finale. Supreme has too much HP for a PHASE 1 and they make you do 3 phases in which if you die there's probably no checkpoint meaning you start at supreme again.
That's basically Master King trial on fucking drugs.
Edit: and I don't care if he made a video and beaten it, if this was in the original game people would of SLANDERED it just like the trials and unfair guardians. This fight is bullshit.
@@Electrical010 You do realise that Sonic's stats are all probably at level 1. (Yes, i know he has 600 rings, but that could just be a rebalance from the mod.)
You know, even though the final boss in Final Horizon is MUCH better, I think the original ending was better.
The End's speech, the implication that this is only a form it's taking, that it'll be back even if you kill it - Sage's ultimate sacrifice leaving the door open to some real character development for Eggman, making his rivalry with Sonic have some real motivation and not just cartoon villain.
The new ending, combined with Ian's comments on twitter have kind of... lessened, the impact of Frontiers going forward, I think.

Sonic fans when Sega adds a new form that's relevant to sonic frontiers instead of using the form that hasn't been a thing for 3 decades and has no thematic reason to appear. (They can't comprehend the fact that not everyone has played S3&K/is nostalgic for it.)
Yeah, Super Sonic 2 looks cool and all, but Hyper Sonic is more fitting

I'm not a fan of Hyper Sonic, but as one of the few people who enjoyed the original End fight and ending, this is a nice mod.

Honestly, this would have been an interesting way to bring Hyper Sonic back, but they didn't do it.
The End wasn't going to go down by regular Super Sonic anyway and it would have been the perfect excuse to bring Hyper Sonic back, but they didn't do it.
Here's How I'll Change Phase 3 because Phase 1 & 2 of this mod is perfect as it is.
Phase 3 will start of with Super Sonic 2 (not going all out...yet) being shoot to Supreme and The End, however, The End doesn't explode immediately but the Moon Form is cracking like an egg and hatch out is The End's True Form. And of course, Phase 3 will be split up into three more phases. (I know it'll be a pain in the ass, but you will recover rings as the fight progresses.)
