I know! I LOVE how he rips the screens off the cage, then leaps up and yanks Louie out, while he's flopping like a fish out of water! This is a great scene! I wish CBS hadn't screwed up & cut off the great ending!
"It's not hard to humiliate people. It's not hard to make people feel rotten about their lives. The difficult thing is to make people feel good about their lives."
I always admired Alex, he always looked out for his friends & he also looked out for Louie , even if he was a rotten s.o.b., Alex still looked out for him!
This is the best scene it taxi 😁 Better than the yellow light. I been looking for this scene for years. When Louie kicks his leg out, that's the sheer pinnacle of comedy ❤️
This episode is the perfect example of why Danny DeVito is so well respected as an actor. He was on fire here and even the little exaggerated facial expressions he would make and and using his eyes, especially when he reacts to Reager says "because you shouldn't"... Danny's expression of "The absolute gall of this guy to try and tell me what to do when I own this joint and I'm the boss of this jungle!" 🤣
Taxi inspired Me to play Sax and Trumpet Jazz. Yes I got both horns Hustling in Oakland, can't read Music but I can imiitate anything I hear. I know play in Lil Clubs in Texas with real Musicians. All because of this them Music.
Yes, I grew up with it too. One of the best shows on tv, I've just rediscovered it. It also had one of the most striking theme songs-timeless and still one of my favorites, two things it shares in common with Narcos actually. A third thing they share, is that I'm pretty sure Taxi was originally late night-and was fairly risque, though I seem to remember it being on earlier during the early '80s here in New Zealand. Anywho., ruclips.net/video/PtJ6yAGjsIs/видео.html They haven't changed the theme for Mexico either^. They know what they have.
OH COME ON!!! You show the whole build-up, you show how nasty a tizz Louie has worked himself into, you show how fed up Alex is with him, Bobby walks in at that apex, and THAT'S WHERE YOU CUT IT? Now I have to watch ANOTHER video to see what Louie actually says to Bobby. Thanks a lot!
A nice touch by the writers - Louie calls everyone by their last names - Riga, Wheeler, Nardo, Banta - the only one that is exempt is Latka - maybe because Latka works directly underneath him whereas the others are more like independent contractors
I just heard of this show today and decided to watch a clip I was born in 1996 and this show debuted in 1982. Lol. First clip ever, but something tells me Louie has little man syndrome lol.
I always related this show and cast to norse mythology. louie as the evil mischievous loki, alex as the wise odin, elaine as a goddess, tony as thor. Bobby as Baldur etc...
My favourite Taxi scene -which I can't find! - features Louie repeatedly announcing Bobby's touring play, over the PA, making it sound more and more unspectacular and pathetic each time. Anyone know which episode that was????
WWF's version of this scene Wrestlemania 14 Shawn Michaels: Ha ha ha! Your friend Austin is a loser Taker! And I'm gonna bury him like a loser, and I'm gonna love burying that loser! He's a loser! He's a loser! Nyah nyah nyah nyah! He's a loser! He's a loser! He's a loser! He's a loser! (Undertaker busts down the door and grabs HBK) Shawn Michaels: You're not finished yet? Undertaker: Michaels, I'm Warning You, Don't You Dare Screw Steve Austin Over At Wrestlemania! And I Mean It Too! Drop The Belt To Austin, Or It Will Be The Last Mistake You Will Ever Make! Shawn Michaels: What do you mean by that? Are you threatening me with physical violence Undertaker?! (Undertaker shows his taped fists to HBK) Undertaker: You're Damn Right I'm Threatening You! Do The Right Thing Or I Will Send You To Your Grave! So, what will it be? Shawn Michael: I guess I better kiss my belt goodbye. Undertaker: Good. Now get to it! (Shawn Michaels drops his title to Steve Austin) Undertaker: Good, that takes care of that. (Untapes his fists and heads off for the showers)
Taxi was beautiful and blessed with some really great actors
Danny Devito should have gotten a Best Actor Emmy for this performance alone! Wow what a talent!
Im impressed with Judd Hirsch strength and compassion
Easily one of my favorite episodes and scenes. I wish they would have show the very end....."Welcome back Bobby" 😐
😆 i just noticed, Lakta actually hands Alex the oil can,so he can inflict more damage! Lol
God bless you Danny, most brilliant, funny, unique, character, acting that will ever be seen,
This is my all time favorite episode of Taxi....brilliant acting by louie and Alex. I am surprised Alex managed not to laugh during this whole take.
I know! I LOVE how he rips the screens off the cage, then leaps up and yanks Louie out, while he's flopping like a fish out of water! This is a great scene! I wish CBS hadn't screwed up & cut off the great ending!
I wouldn't have been able to sit there while Louie went all wild with that I Shouldn't line 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"It's not hard to humiliate people. It's not hard to make people feel rotten about their lives. The difficult thing is to make people feel good about their lives."
Thanks for the sermon.
One of alexs best lines
Agreed, but this is Bobby Wheeler we’re talking about here. He deserves all of Louie’s wrath!
Alex is the man
I always admired Alex, he always looked out for his friends & he also looked out for Louie , even if he was a rotten s.o.b., Alex still looked out for him!
When alex says "because u shouldnt" theres a few laughs from the audience then silence, got dramatic real quick!Great scene!
This is the best scene it taxi 😁 Better than the yellow light. I been looking for this scene for years. When Louie kicks his leg out, that's the sheer pinnacle of comedy ❤️
This is my fav memory from that show. When Alex reached in and pulled Louis out of his "den", I nearly wet myself!! lmao
Danny Devito really knows how to get heat from the viewers as Loiue De Palma. Such an awesome antagonist.
No one else can fill the shoe's of Louie DePalma better than Danny Devito
Wow!! No wonder why he got the penguin's roll in "Batman returns". He is a great actor.
Boo for cutting it off before the payoff
Agreed - it was just a few seconds more to the big payoff where Louie actually behaves himself.
I love how Louie wasn't the least bit humiliated, when Alex tried to humiliate him.Louie was bulletproof.
I think we can safely say the mantra of the planet is that Louie DePalma rules.
This Sent me on the Floor almost pissed myself!! This is Classic!!
Omg Louie 😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂 “He’s a loser! He’s a loser! Nah nah nah nah! He’s a loser!” 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣
HE'S A LOZAH HE'S A LOZAH HE'S A LOZAH 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Alex is the only cabbie Louie respected

Truly a brilliant show. Great actors
"Are you threatening me with physical violence, Alex? I'm not sayin' it won't work...HAHAHA
This episode is the perfect example of why Danny DeVito is so well respected as an actor.

Danny's expression of "The absolute gall of this guy to try and tell me what to do when I own this joint and I'm the boss of this jungle!" 🤣
You cut off the video before the punchline.
This show was too good
My most favorite scene from the show.❤❤
Best sitcom ever made! Ever!
Taxi inspired Me to play Sax and Trumpet Jazz. Yes I got both horns Hustling in Oakland, can't read Music but I can imiitate anything I hear. I know play in Lil Clubs in Texas with real Musicians. All because of this them Music.
I seem to notice no one has watched this yet... really?!? Taxi was a classic TV show
i did. this was my childhood ! The new school crap have minds elsewhere !
I shouldn't . ! . HA HA HA ! ! !, What a show, thank you ! ! !

Damn..Devito looks great.
4:09 I feel like they allowed Danny to go all wild with that I Shouldn't part and he enjoyed every moment of it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Im rolling on the floor in extreme laughter hahahahaha

thank you CBS. Maybe you could cite the season and episode so we could follow up for the rest of it. Thanks!
A nice touch by the writers - Louie calls everyone by their last names - Riga, Wheeler, Nardo, Banta - the only one that is exempt is Latka - maybe because Latka works directly underneath him whereas the others are more like independent contractors
this may be my favorite scene in the whole series, of so many amazing scenes. they cut it off before louie's grand finale here though
This scene shows how brilliant Danny Devito was in this series
1:42 nyeah!
That one moment is my all time favorite moment in Taxi 😂 maybe in my whole history of watching tv
3:03 oh snap!
Bobby has it coming. Go get him Lou!
it cuts off too soon :(
Probably my favorite scene from one of my favorite sitcoms. Louie was hilarious. Too bad the video cut off a little too soon.
What happened at the end?
@@jay-white Louie keeps it cool and welcomes Bobby back. Just before the credits end Louie hypothetically let's Bobby have it
I just heard of this show today and decided to watch a clip I was born in 1996 and this show debuted in 1982. Lol. First clip ever, but something tells me Louie has little man syndrome lol.
This1 an Lakas Apt are 2 of My Favorites episodes.
He should have cut the tie and then said now the tie matches your height lol
Danny devito would be a great role for the stepfather for the next adaptation of cinderella
What the fuck??? Take this down. What an abomination. The end is gone??!!?!? Unacceptable. Unforgivable!!
I always related this show and cast to norse mythology. louie as the evil mischievous loki, alex as the wise odin, elaine as a goddess, tony as thor. Bobby as Baldur etc...
where do you get your weed man?
and Latka?
@@jakubbaran28 delving deeper into the lesser known characters of Norse mythology, I would say he's the naive Hoder.
You are truly inspiring and very interesting person. Nice comparison. Greetings from Polish Latka ;)
Maybe the next cinderella adaptation could have danny devito as the evil stepfather
"Nnnnn-yaaaa"
3:58 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I SHOULDN'T
Danny Devito is the GOAT
2021 Rules forever
How do you miss the end???
4:18 evil cackling

4:09😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cut off there ? Really ?
What episode is this?
Alex Reiger is the man
My favourite Taxi scene -which I can't find! - features Louie repeatedly announcing Bobby's touring play, over the PA, making it sound more and more unspectacular and pathetic each time. Anyone know which episode that was????
Season 3 Episode 15 "Bobby's Roommate"
@@moviefan2517 Just watched it, terrific, thanks a lot, man! :)
Twenty down votes for brilliance No hope for mankind

Wtf, I'm hoping dear Alex lost a job after this.
