Personally, I think drones SHOULD have one or two missiles that can be fired backwards, in the event that they’re being chased by an enemy aircraft…. because that enemy aircraft has no flares at the front.
In order to fire a missile backwards the target must first be detected, then the drone has to lock-on the the target and then the missile has to acquire the target. This is difficult to do with a pusher propellor at the rear of the drone. This would require some sort of detection/tracking pod amounted under the wing, in addition to the missile to be fired backwards.

Too expensive and too vulnerable to be cost-effective in peer-to-peer warfare. Against modern SAMs or even fighter jets these are just too costly of an asset to lose on the battlefield. For the $32 million cost of a single Mojave you can equip a swarm of relatively cheap single-purpose drones that together not only have a better chance to succeed in their mission but can survive it as well. Probably useful in asymmetric and air dominance scenario's only.
I wonder how useful these will actually be in the future. Seems like you would need total air dominance before setting up millions of dollars per drone. As we have seen in the Ukraine, times have been changing quick. 🤔
