Undertale and OMORI are the only ones I completely fell in love with, the rest are meh.
I was surprised with how great this game was. I was expecting to like it, but not nearly as much as I ended up loving it. It's a top two game of all time for me (Persona 4 takes number one). The ending blew my expectations out of the water.

A person of taste. I personally disliked Merg at other games (at least that I saw after I came here for this) but OMORI is just the perfect fir for him. He is so good

Seriously, though; it doesn't let up, not even with the sidequests. And then you get to Basil's house, and it's all so tense and nerve-wracking... AND YOU SLAP US WITH THAT CLIFFHANGER, RIGHT BEFORE "IT" REALLY STARTS! I'm so hurt, but at the same time, that was probably a good idea; I don't know how many episodes are left, but these last parts are best played in one, long sitting, I feel. Good luck!
Oh, and yes, both Sunny and Basil are fragile beans that need to be protected at all costs. And you calling Basil a "pretty flower" made me smile.

I understand that this game depicts depression rather blatantly but I’ve come to the conclusion that it also shows it subtly. I’ve heard of instances where depressed people seem to get better, they reconnect with friends and family and do things they used to enjoy doing. But despite that they still end themselves. Not because they had a relapse or something but because they had already planned on doing it. They reconnected with everyone just to say goodbye. I feel like that’s what’s actually happening in the game. Never think that just because someone acts fine that they are fine. Be like Kel, Hero, and Aubrey and be there for your loved ones, let them know that you are there for them. You just might save a life that way.

Idk if anybody else said this before me, but, you know, sometimes I forget that OMORI actually is a psychological horror game 😐 I get caught off guard by all those creepy things in the middle of semi-happy atmosphere (it's mostly happened in Headspace). And it's kinda distracting... But I can't say that it makes game experience worse.
That's why I still get excited when new episode comes out c:

Reluctantly, I decided to stop watching this series around the Humphrey section and opted to buy the game and see the rest for myself. I do not regret my decisions at all, and I am so glad that I experienced it the way I did.
Looking forward to picking up where I stopped and binging the rest of it. God, this game is amazing.

Oh, guys when I posted this comment I had already finished the game lol. But yeah, no words can do the ending of the game justice (hell, no words can do the entire game justice). I've convinced one of my friends to play the game and they're currently in Sweetheart's castle. They seem to love this game too. I hope they come to appreciate everything as much as I do.

OH MY GOD I have no idea about this game, I'm seeing everything as shown in the video, and of course towards the end I start needing to use the bathroom. Then we get the sleeping faces and the long black screen before Sunny/Maxy and I'm thinking "There's going to be a jump-scare and I'll pee myself" but I just couldn't stop watching. I have never been more thankful for a cliff-hanger ending in my life.

Been a rough few days for me. So glad I have Merg videos to keep me positive!
That line Hero and Kel's dad says that making friends get harder when you are older is so true. I never had many friends, and I eventually felt like I was just being an annoyance to the friends I did have so I distanced myself from them. Recently I have gotten back into contact with some of them and spending time with them again. It feels really nice. I won't waste this second chance. I will cherish this friendship.

Good luck man, you are nearly at the best part of the game now. I've really enjoyed this series so far, in my opinion the best omori playthrough.
Merg is a legend for willing to finish many underrated games, with wholesome commentary and by taking the time to read and heart many comments of all of his videos, even the oldest ones. Many few RUclipsrs can do these things, but the cherry can!
