First, she heads to the Koenji neighborhood, where she visits Pottercafe - a homey cafe with an animal and coffee-loving, creative owner who makes everything from scratch and where guests can take some time to chill with delicious homemade food and pottery painting.
Then, trek to Ueno on the other side of Tokyo to visit Mominoki House, a cafe concept that combines footbath, massage and natural foods to help cool the mind, and warm both the body and heart.

I would regularly visit a massage cafe! I move 500+ lb 747/777 wheels and aircraft parts at LAX but ironically I have pretty bad neck/shoulder pain from using a keyboard/mouse all day.

It felt pretty awesome, not gonna lie!
So relaxed at Mominoki House then she ate one mouthful of that spicy Sri Lankan curry and it was game over.
This made me miss my painting days when I was still a fine arts student a decade ago. Really chill vibes!

The massage parlour/restaurant was originally Taiwanese, I think. The food service is that shop's. One should never eat before a deep tissue/sports massage. A massage is like exercising, one should eat after,not before.
