The documentary features the 1998 Olympic Winter Games' classic men's ice hockey tournament in which the underdog squad from the Czech Republic, led by Jaromir Jagr and Dominik Hasek, stunned the world on its way to a historic gold medal, a defining moment at the time of the country's resurgence. Director Ondrej Hudecek: "Many people in the Czech Republic treasure this story like a scripture."

I am proud to be Czech and never forget this time especially match against Canada. I was lucky to met with Wayne Gretzky long time ago in Prague during his stay in hotel Hilton. For us young guys during 90 it was great event to see stars like Wayne on tournament. I remember staying with my friends outside of our homes and collecting hockey cards!! it was so great time...no facebook no internet...never forget

Škoda, zazila byste instantní hrdost,proud emocí a pocit lidského štěstí v přímém přenosu. Já to štěstí to vidět live měl.

To já jsem taky nagano 1998 nezazil mel byl rok když ceši vyhráli olympiádu v naganu jsem rád že jsme vyhrali zlato jsem na to hrdý já se vždycky podívám na youtube na nagano chce se mě s toho brečet byly jsme dobrý tým
bylo to neuvěřitelné .... ve školách se neučilo, kdo pracoval a mohl tak sledoval TV nebo alespoň poslouchal rádio ... a pak ... ta radost v ulicích a pocit hrdosti .... dodnes si pamatuju, jak jsme čtvrtfinále s USA sledovali v jedné učebně ve škole ve které byla TV .... ta radost pak ... :)

This was when the Czechs needed a strong National self-determination after the half-century-long Communist rule collapsed and Czechoslovakia split into Czech Republic and Slovakia. Victory in Nagano 1998 Winter Olympics boosted the National moral of the Czech people.
