For the xbow part at 6:43, another key reason to not place it in the middle is that it means troops on both sides can tank for the x bow which makes it a lot easier to defend, compared to placing it on the sides which forces troops to be played around that side to tank.
Still, there are some rare cases where this mid river position would be the optimal play. Usually it's against midladder MK players or if you have already destroyed one tower and for some reason need to destroy the other
@@thefylon9835 Yeah, that's if you are playing the "don't play cards" challenge lmao, and if we are putting it that way, imagine having to defend a bomber lol, every tower has advantages and disadvantages.

Great video man. Really thorough. There were some parts where I was thinking you weren't going to assess something (like, air units behind KT being good for covering both lanes) and then you immediately covered it lol
I think despite all advices work in 95% of cases, should be said that remaining 5% are exceptions. Im worried some new players may think that when someone places giant or egiant behind the king, you need to ALWAYS spakry/prkka in the corner, but its still better to place them behind the king tower in single elixir, or sometimes in double (sometimes not, but sometimes yes), because if opponent will tornado it, he's down elixir, and also need to defend your now attacking sparky/pekka, and sometimes it outweights the egiant danger. I know the autor of the video didnt say "you always need to sparky in the corner when see egiant in the back", but I still think its better to mention these exceptions exists
I found this video very helpful. Making videos like this where you explain interactions and difference in placements and like showing what moving a troop by each tile and the effect it could have is very useful for a CR player to improve. Please make more videos like this so I can get better.

EGiant should be placed at the back in the beginning then corner at double time with the second one, and the 3rd one on the edge of the bridge to get them off their tower placement. Lava should be corner then 1 tile opposite side at the back when you have 1 of their tower down to tank either side attack on both your side and their side, plus you counter attack their princess tower or king with support troops. Major difference with pump because it's all about elixirs trade and match ups. 3M could be placed on the corner when their counter is out. But it's a different story combine with pump. Can't let them clip both the pump with troops with spells, but in the same sense can definitely draw their spell to your strong tower.
5:58 I would argue that it is better to place the sparky close to the middle in this scenario as the corner sparky may provide rocket value to the opponent
