AN ABANDONED FIELD'S 1ST PLANTING IN 100+ YEARS?!

- The field next to my house has been an abandoned since World War I. Over a century later, after 5 years of hard work and dedication plus tens of thousands of dollars, I brought the field back to life.
Today is the day we are seeding the abandoned grove next to my house with a oats, grass, alfalfa mix. We hired our neighbor Steve to bring his tractor and drill over to plant the 5.6 acre patch. Our soybean crop is also off to a great start and I go over some exciting news as we attempt to break past 100 bushel per acre soybeans and 300 bushel per acre corn.
We had some unsettling news in today's episode as doctors told us Grandpa John is full of cancer and there is nothing they can do for him. Prayers for Grandpa John and Grandma Judy would be greatly appreciated.
To wrap up the episode Isaiah showed up with a load of nutritional supplements for our corn and soybeans. I loaded the new products on the semi trailer and opened our new PH tester so once the wind slows down we will be ready to start spraying foliar applications.
This was a tough episode and there was a lot of raw emotion displayed here. Thank you for being part of our family and for being here in these moments. You mean more to us than you realize. Thank you.

I try to call my folks or stop somewhere the grab something for their places, they were divorced. They've been gone door about 6 and 10 years
@@bradklingensmith I was the baby of the family. Mom went young. When she was a teen, tobacco companies were promoting smoking to young women as a show of power and equality. Dad was 20 years later, at 83. Wouldn’t accept any treatment for simple prostate cancer. Didn’t see the point in trying to live longer without her.

Sorry to hear that about your grandpa. My grandpa is dealing with kidney failure and is on dialysis for it and has to do it every day so I can unfortunately say that I understand where you are coming from I'm really close to my grandpa also. but I'm definitely gonna pray for you and your family Cole! Is there anything else I can do for you while I'm at it?
Just try to give him all the love you can and listen to his stories. I've lost all grandparents many years ago and I wish I could listen to their stories again. I see you are very careful with the chemicals and keep doing so.

Hey Cole, I'm a former farmer in Minnesota. I feel ya my grandpa died 5 years ago in May to something related to cancer and heart failure. You shared that with all of us and I have a lot of respect for you because of that you share your personal life with all of us and that takes a lot to do. Thank you for sharing.

How lucky were you to have one bio grandpa and one step grandpa that took you in as his own!!! I miss both sets of my grandparents every single day. My mom's dad used to carry those individually wrapped butterscotch disks, peppermint candies in his pockets and every time we would see him he would reach in his pocket and give us some candy!! So, every time I see them in the store I think of him. Hold tight to those memories you made with your Grandpa John!! And just know he is in no more pain. Prayers for your family Cole.
I saw your post last week about Grandpa John's passing; seeing this video now must mean that he went very quickly after the diagnosis. For him to have been feeling well enough to avoid the doctor until just recently and then going so quickly probably eliminated a lot of pain and suffering for him. May you rest peacefully in the knowledge that Grandpa John's heavenly biopsy is clear and he will never be sick again. Please hug Grandma Judy extra long for me.

Cole, when you began your youtube journey it was very clear to see that family REALLY meant something to you. CornStar family, I've been off the grid and unable to watch for a couple of weeks. Just catching up. Saw the sad news about Grandpa John. Been keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Life is precious and great even in the face of difficult news. But, to see the greatness in times of suffering and sorrow we have keep our eyes fixed on Jesus who will always give us a glimpse of His promise and an outpouring of His grace to help us see the light in the darkness.
