- Riding the forgotten tracks of the Southern Pacific Railroad in Arizona, United States of America, near Dateland AZ. exactly from the no longer existing HORN station, today only the foundations remain. We traveled approximately 25 miles (40 km) in total. Where our next stop was HYDER. I also visited the town of the same name, today it has no inhabitants and everything is abandoned, it is a (ghost town) the idea was to continue as much as we could. But we found that leaving HYDER about 3 miles later Heading to Saddle we found that they were missing I estimate that the rails were almost a mile without tracks, we had no choice but to turn around. My friend Javier accompanied me to all this, he has a very nice Railcart, very well assembled and with great autonomy. We have both already traveled some abandoned roads, but today we traveled it in my Railcart (ZORRITO). On the way back we passed HORN station again and continued for about 2 or 3 miles, and we found bridges and embankments of the roads in very poor condition, the cause of a strong flood that not long ago passed through here. In the Google map application, it was not updated, so in satellite images they looked in perfect condition to continue to KOFA station located about 5 miles ahead. We opted to return to HORN, disassemble everything and leave. We fully enjoyed it on a beautiful day on the rails and a barbecue in the middle of the desert. and until the next adventure!!!!
Thanks for the ride-along Archie. So sad to see the flood damage.
Terrific once again, many thanks from South Australia.
Every time I see the ride being 20 or so minutes, I pop a bottle of cold beer and jump on the Little Fox for the ride along. It's fun.
This is my first and what a brilliant channel this is!!! I am from the UK - would be nice if it can be done in the UK as we have so many abandoned lines thanks to Dr Breeching!!! However, there are hardly any tracks around! Keep up the good stuff 😊
awesome drone shots
Thanks Archie for another rail ride. Cheers from NZ.
Double bad luck today on one side the rails are being removed, and on the other side the water has destroyed the rails, I hope the next trip will be a nice long one, thank you for sharing Archie ;-)
I find things I didn't expect. But I'm going to continue looking for abandoned rails. Here I have to go from Horn to Kofa. Arizona
Thanks for sharing, always enjoyed your ventures 😅
I enjoy your railroad travels
Thank you!!

gracias. Abandoned rails are nice places to look for a place to buy...homestead. it would be nice, repaired, and used for freight and more homemade trains.

Eccezionale!
❤
Belo vídeo.
Paisagens lindas.
Continuem a mandar essas postagens agradáveis!
God bless you amen ✋
Thank you
Damn metal thieves
Hard to believe someone would steal 1 mi of rail as it only pays a a few cents per hundred pounds and its a ton or work to receive so little in exchange. I was hoping youd go back to the Carrizo bridge and do the other end form north to the blocked tunnel. Thanks
A few cents per 100lbs? Lol are you sure?
@@TEMPLE7D I get 1 dollar for every 100 lbs of cast iron radiators I take there. That's 01 a lb.
I'm curious who is ripping up the old rails -- the railroads that own the line still? Are they reusing it? Not sure why they'd be ripping up decades old iron in the middle of nowhere.
Bueno saludos desde Brasil kkkkl buenas suertes muchachos kkkkk😅😅😅😅😅😅

Adios arizona kkkkkkl
É um autêntico cenário do farwest kkkkklll
