Paul Bearer doesnt get nearly the credit he deserves for getting BOTH Undertaker and Kane over the way he did. As the original Paul Bearer…the voice, the makeup, the urn,I dont even think Vince could have imagined that execution. He fit with Undertaker seamlessly. Then when he turned heel,he became this evil, fat, vindictive heel and the infamous promo being choked by Taker “KANE IS ALIIIIIVE. YOUR BROTHER IS ALIVE UNDERTAKERRRR” . Then when Kane didnt talk,Paul (or Percy) really got that backstory over and made what could’ve been so stupid and laughable, believable. Now that I fully appreciate his WORK,you can so much of him in Paul Heyman’s current style of managing. God Bless Percy Pringle,a legendary manager who deserves his flowers big time.

Very few things have been good original booking ideas that nobody came up with in the last decades and rightfully so.
Wrestling plays with the perception and the psychology of the crowd. you can alter the presentation and the flavour of things in order for them to remain fresh, but coming up with original ideas that nobody has come up with before without being too complicated or convulated is incredibly difficult, and i dont think that any booker nowadays have such genius that they Can pull this off.

When you think about it, the real rivalry was Undertaker vs. Paul Bearer. When he first turned on Taker and aligned with Mankind and Vader against him, it became all about Paul’s vendetta. And he single-handedly made this formerly and still somewhat supernatural character into a real person that had a family. Paul’s genius and skill made this entire thing.

Retconning & convolution really tainted the character of Kane. He had been unmasked on several occasions in storyline. I believe in 1999, I can remember an instance when the corporation attacked Kane, unmasked him & took pictures of his face. They used the photos to blackmail him & reacted to his disfigured face. All that gets muddied when he unmasked in 2003 & stated that his scars were "psychological".

I enjoyed this A&E rivalry program to a certain extent. It was nice to hear from the undertaker and Kane speak about the different storylines (since well both of those individuals couldn’t talk as much without breaking kayfabe). What I felt that was boring was seeing them rehash the same footage from the undertaker documentary and seeing them gloss over 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003. They barely even discussed Kane’s role in the buried alive match. But I digress.
These were two of the best characters the WWE has created. The mystique, the dark overtones, and the fact that they were monsters…made it extra special.
I think undertaker needed to change to the American badass because you could only do so much with the deadman/lord of darkness undertaker. There was no need for the ministry of darkness gimmick when the group disbanded. Plus undertaker adapted in the ring as a wrestler. I’m not sure who said this, but undertaker returning as the deadman (or a hybrid of the character) at XX was special not only because of Paul bearer, but he was able take a little of big evil in the ring and use that in the ring. He didn’t have to be big evil outside the ring. But he could use those moves without going full blown deadman in the ring.

Ok. I thought the Isaac Yankem vignettes were hilarious, very amusing and very well produced, specially the one with the goofy X-Ray view special effects. As a matter of fact, I consider the Isaac Yankem vignettes to be the best wrestling vignettes in history! Seeing those Isaac Yankem vignettes on a Saturday morning on WWF Mania made the rest of the day felt great! We all wanted more of those Isaac Yankem vignettes. Also, I think Kane's debut was amazing! Paul teased Kane for a very long time while no one got a glimpse of what he looked like. I was thinking Kane was going to be small and thin, to sort of give a slither and creep vibe of terror, like the feeling we get when we see a crawling insect. When Kane walked down the ramp on that HC match, everyone jaws dropped! HUGE AND SCARY! The costume looked great! Red makes everything look bigger. So, I think the way Kane was introduced was great. Also, it took me 4 years after Kane made his debut to figure out the guy wearing the mask and costume was Glenn. Around the year 2000, I was scrolling through some news articles on AOL and seen an article on Kane, that's where I found out Glenn is Kane.

What I mean by what if:
The kane character was successful because of the initial idea and the work ethic and dedication of Glen. The booking didnt help him at all after 1999. There were many times Vince couldve pushed him as the monster heel or tweener that is demented but the fans love. Instead for majority of the time Kane was the gatekeeper. Anytime they put him in a long angle with someone, the other person was being groomed to be world champion/main event push. And he was beaten on tv so many times its a shame

I don't see why Cornette doesn't like Russso, wrestling is in a terrible condition where if Russo and Cornette is on the same page of the same book, a wrestling promotion will flourish and encourage competition among promotions.

Lol! But you can tell just from Jim Cornette's personality as shown here in this video as well as many others, he is the perfect kind of guy for the writer's team. He has that personality to know what will keep you enthralled and engrossed in something just like his whole delivery throughout this video kept me enthralled. If there's anyone that not only deserved a longer title reign, but deserved more World Championship runs, it's Kane. Seriously, Vince McMahon's 2nd greatest creation next to The Undertaker. 7 foot tall, 326 pounds, the red lights, the fires of hell shooting to the rafters. I just feel that he should've had a longer WWF Title run in 1998 & more importantly, he could've been a multi time World Champion. He could've had 1 or 2 WWF Titles & then later on, 1 or 2 or POSSIBLY 3 World Heavyweight Titles. But hands down, one of the greatest characters of all time.

I loved the first Hell n the Cell. I didn't care as much for the old cage matches because of 2 main reasons. First it had to hurt the talent. I mean they were bars. They could kill someone if landed wrong. And the second thing was when someone was thrown through the cage it would move with them and sometimes become would come apart. I think the only problem that was mentioned about the Hell in the Cell was they were hard to climb. I think UNDERTAKER mentioned that the match he had with Mankind he had a broken foot. And Mankind said and those kind of cages were hard to find.
